This property is perfect for family and friends who want to stay in San Luis Obispo. Communication with owner was the best I have ever experienced with over 20+ stays at rental homes. They responded almost immediately to all my questions (grocery shopping, bicycle rentals, recommended restaurants, hiking routes and sight seeing). I could not have been happier to be at this rental. Overwhelming recommendation to check out this property. Close to a great hike on M mountain and Bishops Peak, close drive to the coast. Best of all you are very close to Cal Poly where I dropped my daughter off for her first year. Also this home is about 2 blocks away from one of the best yoga studios I have been to. Whoops I almost forgot that Thursday night farmers market is one block away and it is the best farmers market I have ever seen.

This home is perfect for a larger family to be comfortable - there's plenty of space! The grassy areas in the front and back add so much extra living space for littles to run around. Leslie is very friendly and responsive. We'd definitely stay here again!

This house was perfect for our purposes of a place to stay for employees during some management training. It was in walking distance from everything downtown. The living room is very comfortable. The beds are nice and peaceful. The only things I would mention are that the neighborhood is a bit loud if you are staying in the front room with the twin beds. Light sleepers might want to stick to the back bedroom. Overall this house is very peaceful and relaxing- very homey. We also liked looking at the old Cal Poly year books and enjoyed the "bar" area. Thanks again!

Wonderful
We had a wonderful month long stay. Great location for walking around downtown. A beautiful, well kept historical home. Very clean. An abundance of fluffy towels. What a great shower! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. We used the sun porch a lot. It was a warm sunny spot for breakfast on chilly mornings.
Leslie was great. Great communication, helpful. She knows SLO!
Thank you, Leslie and Gregg, for sharing your home.

Spanish Splendor
Loved everything about this property. Hosts Leslie & Greg were great, always at the ready to help with anything. Kitchen was well equipped with everything needed. The back yard was a favorite with our 2 small granddaughters. The proximity to town made everything easy & fun. Plenty of room for everyone and plenty of private parking. Will def book here again.

A beautiful house in a fabulous location.
Our home for the month of July was perfect in every way. It was the cleanest VRBO rental we have ever stayed in, and we have been in many nice ones before. We were able to settle in utilizing the many drawers and closets available and start to explore the area. Being so close to both the Mission and the downtown was wonderful because on Thursday evenings they have a huge Farmer's Market on Higuera and on Friday evenings they have various music events in the Mission Plaza.
We were close to any number of excellent restaurants but we usually chose to cook at home. The barbecue was clean and easy to use and the kitchen was equipped with pots, pans and baking utensils which we needed.
Leslie and Greg, the owners, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. When it was time to leave we really felt that we were having to move away from friends.

A great house in a great neighborhood!
We rented this lovely home last summer and couldn't wait to get back this summer. It is a wonderful place; clean, comfortable, & very well appointed. The location, being in the heart of downtown, is grand. Shopping, restaurants, theater, coffee houses, ice cream shops, yoga studio...all within walking distance. If you're a beach goer Avila Beach, and its perfect micro-climate, is a ten minute drive. The managers of this home are wonderful. Their desire is that your stay be as good as can be, and go out of their way to make sure that happens. I highly recommend this home and all that the Central Coast has to offer.

The charm of San Luis Obispo at its best
My husband and I enjoyed occupying this property for an entire month. We are from the Fresno area and love to get away from the August heat! This was a first time rental for us in San Luis Obispo. The location is wonderful, with so much at your fingertips. The property itself is charming and very comfortable. We found that all of our needs were met. We loved it, and hope to return!

A Great House in a Wonderful Location
We have spent a month in the winter for 3 years now in this great spot. SLO feels like our home away from home.
The house meets our changing needs. Sometimes it is just the two of us. We have hosted friends from home,
our children and grandchildren, as well as a girl friend weekend for college friends. The house is spacious, well maintained and has everything we need. The location couldn't be better. Leslie and Gregg are fantastic property managers, as well as neighbors. Where to go to workout, the best tacos on the coast, where to get a good haircut-- all you have to do is ask. The weather in the winter is fantastic for hiking and biking most days. The library, post office, movies, shops and so many places to eat are all a short walk. We have rented a number of places in varying locations and this is our hands down favorite.

Great Place to Stay in Downtown SLO
My family has stayed in this home two years in a row. It has served as a wonderful escape from the cold winters of the Midwest! The central location, in downtown SLO, means there is easy access for exploring the town. There are many great sights within walking distance of the home: the Mission, the art museum, bubblegum alley, etc! Not to mention many great restaurants, breweries and shops. Plus SLO is an the perfect base for exploring the rest of the Central Coast: beaches, hiking, wineries, Hearst Castle, etc. I prefer SLO to the beach communities because the weather is warmer and it is less foggy, always a plus!
The home itself has everything we needed and is very well kept. I'm very picky about things being clean and I had no complaints with either stay! There's a cozy fireplace in the living room and a dining room table for everyone to gather around in the evenings. Just perfect!

Fantastic Stay
When my husband was transferred to San Luis Obispo County with short notice, we needed to find a furnished place that would allow us to stay for an undetermined amount of time. Leslie was extremely flexible and welcoming. We ended up staying for two months and ten days while we searched for and closed on a home in the area. We have lived in many furnished, temporary places over the years and this one was extremely well stocked with anything you might need. I even prepared a Thanksgiving dinner for seven during our stay. The house had plenty of room for our five family members who came in for the holiday weekend. We felt very much at home there and were sorry to leave such a great location. I was able to walk to the post office and Fedex store which made running errands for the house closing a breeze. We especially enjoyed waking up and walking to the many restaurants for breakfast to kick start our weekend days. Another favorite perk was being able to walk to the hiking trail that takes you to the top of the beautiful hill known as Madonna. Such a great way to spend a morning! I highly recommend this rental home for anyone wanting to spend time in the Central Coast of California.

Perfect
We rented this property primarily because our daughter was getting married at the Mission. The location could not have been more perfect for the wedding (right around the corner) and is walking distance to all the activities to downtown SLO. The weather was uncommonly warm that weekend and the owners were kind enough to bring fans in to cool down the home. It has a wonderful backyard and plenty of parking and we felt quite at home here. The property is well maintained and clean. The owners are very accommodating and a pleasure to rent from. I would highly recommend renting this property if you want a home away from home in the SLO area.

Perfect location
We spent a great week at this house for my daughter's wedding. We hardly drove, other than going to the wedding venue in Santa Margarita. It was walking distance to the rehearsal dinner, the welcome gathering at MoTav, restaurants for breakfast, coffee shops, hamburger places, and frozen yogurt shops. The location is what really made it, but the house was great. It was much bigger than it appeared in the pictures. Finding sockets for hairdryers and straighteners was a little tricky but it all worked out. We would definitely stay there again. Leslie, the owner, was very thoughtful even placing battery operated candles on the doorstep one night when there was a massive power outage, and she was very swift in returning our security deposit. Thank you for sharing your house with us. We couldn't be happier that we chose your house!

Wonderful Relaxing House!
My family and I visited our niece at Cal Poly and stayed in this great house for the weekend. Loved everything about it...short walk to shops and restaurants, close to downtown and a clean, comfortable house. The owners were great to work with and very good about responding to emails. The house was comfy and great for families. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful, relaxing home
Five women spent a relaxing and delightful time in this home. We walked there from the train station and had a weekend of enjoyable walks in downtown, meals around the table, and late-night chats around the fireplace. Lovely.

Historic Home In San Luis Obispo
Staying in the Historic Home was a great experience. It is very clean and in great condition. For my wife and I it was like going home to my parents house. The owners of the house are wonderful and were available in the event we needed assistance. Being right downtown San Luis Obispo was great. You just parked your and walked everywhere. You are close to the art center, the mission, great shopping and a variety of fantastic restaurants. I have recommended this house to my family and a number of friends. We will definitely rent this house again when we return to the Central Coast.

Great Escape from LA
This house is the perfect combination of ambiance and location. The house has the elegant feel of old San Luis Obispo. It is located on a quiet street that is close to everything. Mission San Luis Obispo is right around the corner. We were able to easily walk to all of the shops and restaurants that we wanted to visit. What a joy it was to walk home after a great dinner and some nice wine downtown. And, when we returned to the house it was cozy, tranquil and elegant. The house is also in a great location for exploration of the central coast region. Leslie was more than helpful. She told us which restaurants in Morro Bay were worth a visit, where the good wineries are located and how to get out to Montana de Oro State Park. Leslie recommend a great place to buy fresh seafood in Morro Bay, and we were able to prepare a wonderful Chopinno back at the house.
We will be back, and the next time we stay here we will simply take the train up from LA and enjoy this perfect location without a car.

Mommy, I don’t want to go home!
That is what my 2/12 year old said yesterday after our Memorial Day weekend stay in SLO. We have stayed at this house before and have always enjoyed our stay. It is really well located – you can walk to the Children’s Museum, the Art Center, the Mission and SLO Historical Museum plus all the fun shops downtown and tons of restaurants. It is great place to stay with kids- you do not have to get in the car all the time, you have a full kitchen and the house is simply, but tastefully decorated, and very clean. I do not have to worry about my kids breaking something. They recently made some improvements (new oven and pots & pans, added a new BBQ and added a new queen bed) and it is even better than before.
