Lovely open plan house with amazing view.
Lovely open plan house with amazing view. Everything we needed was there. Comfortable bed. Wi-fi a bit iffy, I would recommend using your phone as a hot spot if you can. Well equipped kitchen. Bathroom needs a bit of maintenance but other wise perfect. Take slippers if you have them because the stairs are varnished wood which can be slippery.
Small points apart we had a great week and would definitely book here again.

Lovely location.
Lovely location. Friendly owners. Cottage could do with a bit of TLC e.g. mirror in bathroom, few things need repairing, dust and cobwebs removed, windows cleaned.

Brilliant location , great view from the cottage window with the start of the Ben Nevis trek route just up the road. Also the Ben Inn located at the start of the trek route. Wonderful couple running the cottage, very friendly and informative about the best places to visit. We would definetly like to visit again.

If you asked us to rate Terry's home made banana cake, then there should be box with a much higher number! Both Terry and Kaye were lovely hosts; very welcoming, accommodating and always available to give you snippets of their vast local knowledge if you want it. The cottage was cozy and comfortable and the views from the lounge and bedroom were absolutely stunning! It is located within easy reach of the town centre, Morrisons supermarket and the train station (a trip on the Jacobite steam train over the Glenfinnan Viaduct is highly recommended and not just for Harry Potter fans - that was an amazing day out)! We had a lovely week there and have already recommended this cottage to a number of our friends.

Had a fantastic stay at Stob ban view. Kay and Terry were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Cottage is well appointed and the windows make the most of the stunning views. The short walk up the valley to the Ben Nevis Inn is worth it, excellent food, drink and atmosphere and a beer garden with views to die for. If you are thinking of staying near Fort William then you could not do better than Stob ban.

Perfect relaxtion
On arrival we were blown away by that amazing window and the view it gives from the upstairs bedroom, a brilliant idea and for mountain lovers like us helps provide that much needed relaxation from our hectic working lives.
The kitchen area is first class, providing everything needed, the perfect place to unwind and to use as a base for exploring new spots and revisiting old favourites.
I dont want to be critical as the cottage was what we needed but not quite perfect, a few basic things were lacking.
1, The shower has very little water pressure so when taken in hand for washing your lower regions there is no pressure to do so.
2, the toilet seat will not stay up on its own for when us boys use the loo, this a very basic !
3, the plug in the sink does not work so you cannot maintain a bowl of hot water for a wash or shave, again BASIC
4, the pillows on the bed were too hard so a good job we took our own
5, not so important as its a holiday but no wifi signal inside the peoperty and only once all week was it reached outside.
Personally i dont think the property should be marketed with wifi
Please dont get me wrong we are not moaners but when you are paying over £600 pounds for a weeks self catering you expect BASICS to be in place.
That window and the whole outlay is perfect.
The lady and gentleman seem nice and i enjoyed a brief chat with him one evening and would like to again.
I was however puzzled when i was time to leave on Saturday, i rang the doorbell 3 times and knocked twice over a 5 minute period to say thankyou but she didnt come to the door.
It wouldnt have hurt, i hope it was because she was busy and not rude.
We wish the cottage every success in the future and hope other guests enjoy that window and view as we did, just hope basics are sorted out.
If they are we would love to stay again.
Regards
Philip and Wendi

Have had the most fantastic weekend staying in Stob Ban View, right at the foot of Ben Nevis with the Ben Nevis Inn just a short stroll away providing superb food and service. The views from the bedroom balcony was just breathtaking, if only we could wake up to that every day! Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Would 100% stay again. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful property.
