It was great being able to stay with our family of 9 including 3 grand kids.
Only thing lacking was some sort of fly control, like an ultra violet zapper.

Had a great few days. Disappointed that the hot tub wasn't available as we had booked it for this but still had a good time. Lack of signal and slow Internet didnt please the youngsters but didn't mind at all myself.

We were very disappointed when we arrived as the hottub was out of use which we weren't notified about, this was one of the main reasons why we booked this place and I think we should get some sort of compensation

Had a lovely stay here for our mum and dad's 50th anniversary.
Had a lovely stay here for our mum and dad's 50th anniversary. It is in the middle of nowhere but we knew that. Three bedrooms have their own shower /toilet. Another has a jack n Jill bathroom. The downstairs bedroom, over the barn storage, has no bathroom. Lots and lots of kitchen space, pans, crockery, etc. There is a hot tub outside, the caretaker put tablets in it on Sunday, as when she came on the Saturday we were in it apparently. It did get a bit slimy but we still used it.
Loved our stay here. We took wood with us. However when we did see the caretaker on the Sunday she gave us some more wood and boosted the water heat for us.
Towels for both shower and hot tub use were provided.
There is another property next door which was also rented out over the weekend, with a large party like us, but didn't hinder our stay.
We all loved it.
Thank you 👍😊

It’s a fantastic place especially if you really want to be cut off in the middle of nowhere as there is no phone signal and nothing close by which was perfect for us. There is WiFi while slow it is usable for essentials. Lovely comfy beds which meant everyone had a great nights sleep. Would recommend.

The Barn has had a water problem which caused major damage to the kitchen /lounge cealing this has now been all retified but we think on hindsite out stay was just a little bit too soon after the builders had left the job. All is now sorted and the Barn is somewhere quite different to stay plenty of room loads of equipment and plenty of places to visit.
Even in the rain the hot tub is a great way to end the day.
Our thanks go to Kath and Garth.

We had wonderful time at The Barn, as a group of 10.
We had wonderful time at The Barn, as a group of 10. Incredibly good value for what you get: a lovely converted barn with 5 bedrooms, four of which are en suite (one of these is accessible from the hall, so those in the fifth bedroom don't have to disturb anyone in the night!), with a fantastic outdoor hot-tub. There is also an area outside to BBQ, and the scenery is beautiful.
There are very low beams upstairs - these are very obvious, so accidental bumps are unlikely, but be prepared to crouch a bit when going from room-to-room on the top floor!
We would definitely be more than happy to stay at The Barn again!

We have recently returned from a weekend break at the barn.
The location was fantastic if you want a very rural experience. It really did feel like we were in the middle of know where with stunning scenery.
The house it’s self could have been a little cleaner and the floorboards were extremely noisy upstairs so it made it hard for us to settle our 7 month old.
On the other hand the rooms and amenities were great and we really enjoyed the hot tub.

I booked the Barn for a 40th birthday celebration with friends and we had the most lovely time.
I booked the Barn for a 40th birthday celebration with friends and we had the most lovely time. The Barn itself is ideal for a large group with a large dining table, wonderful Aga to cook on, and a real fire to sit by. And then there’s the hot tub!
The location is fairly remote and really beautiful though I marked it a 9 and not a 10 as the low cloud on the day of arrival made for an interesting drive. Follow the driving instructions to the letter! But it was well worth the journey and with the rest of the weekend sunny, there’s fewer places prettier. As noted in other reviews there’s practically no phone reception, and while the Barn has Wi-fi, no one spent the weekend staring at their phone! Also a mention to the local pub, the Brown Cow Inn. Well worth walking the mile across the fell for a visit.
I’d go back in a shot!

Loved the barn.
Loved the barn. The location is stunning, however not alot directly by the barn. The living space downstairs is cosy and we found it great for our girls weekend away. The bedrooms are fine. The hot tub was nice even in Feb, however no wind breaker or roof over, so exposed to the weather. Nice stay.
