About this cabin rental
This beautiful setting in the pines is located at the entrance to the lovely village of Corea, just a short walk to the Harbor. What started out to be a rustic bunkhouse for the grandchildren grew into this beautiful two bedroom, one bath vacation cottage. It includes kitchen / living room, laundry, two decks, Direct TV, DVD, WiFi and phone. It has all new floors and knotty pine walls and ceilings. In fact, the only thing that is not new is the 1930s log facade on the front. The fully equipped kitchen is loaded with everything you will need for an enjoyable vacation on the coast. The large front deck has a grill, lobster cooker and deck furniture. The rear deck provides a more secluded setting. Both decks can be gated for a secure play area for your little ones. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. The 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed with twin on top and full on bottom. The laundry room has a washer and dryer. Tucked away in a gorgeous forest, close to so many beautiful things to do. The Log Cabin is a piece of true Corea, Maine history! Thankful that Jim & Barb preserved their slice of heaven so well and are willing to share it with the rest of us!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin in the woods. We had everything we needed for an awesome family vacation. The cabin is so well equipped and cozy. The hosts are wonderful, provinding detailed information about the history and activities of the area.

The cabin was perfect! Was so beautiful, amazing forest all around, and everything we could need was provided. As well as recommendations of places to see, restaurants, and places to shop. It was perfect vacation spot. Was sad to leave (and to come back to 110 degree weather).

This is a lovely property! The hosts have really thought of and supplied everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is peaceful and beautiful - close enough to sites if you'd like to visit (like Acadia) and far enough away to "get away from it all" if that's more your speed. We did a mix of both...some tour days, some down days.
The hosts provide a guide book with tons of useful information and helpful instructions. Very thoughtful!

Our family of five enjoyed this cabin as our base on our trip to explore Acadia NP! Our kids (15, 13, 9) enjoyed the outside area with the games and blueberries. In addition to exploring Acadia, we appreciated the history of the area and ideas of places to explore that the owners provided. Look no further for a great place to stay!

Our getaway in Correa was lovely! Cabin was clean and well stocked. Beautiful area for some lovely walks. Glad to be able to walk to the ocean for the sunrise and to watch the lobster boats come in…

With high ceilings, lots of windows, two decks, and plenty of outdoor space, this cabin is a gem. Rooms are small but well-planned. It's a complete renovation that is superb. And it's the best stocked cabin I've ever stayed in. There's even a path through the woods to a nearby pond. It was quiet, peaceful, and in an area that has lots of trails on preserved land.

We had a wonderful time staying at this cozy cabin in Corea. The cabin itself was well stocked with bedding, towels, cookware, and other items just as described. It was a great place to unwind after exploring Acadia, Bar Harbor, and other nearby areas.

Very clean and comfortable cabin.Host provided a notebook with everything you could ask and a history of the fishing village. Wonderful trail behind the cabin takes you to a beautiful cove on the bay. Excellent biking, hiking, and exploring right from the doorstep. Highlight of the week was spending a morning on a sandy beach on the end of the peninsula watching the tide come in and chatting with a gentleman collecting sea glass.
Recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a low stress
week on the coast

Our stay was perfect. This little gem was just the place we needed. It’s beautiful, quiet, relaxing, and a great proximity to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.
While we did have rain during our stay, we didn’t let it dampen our sense of adventure. We still had a fantastic vacation.
Thank you for sharing your gem of a cabin with us!

I rented the cabin for a getaway in Maine. I loved the quiet secluded location and the cute little towns in the area. The cabin was perfect for us! We especially enjoyed watching for deer and other wildlife from the deck. I definitely hope to go back to Maine and would love to stay in this cabin again.

This is a great place to stay! The location was perfect for us. We wanted low-key, low traffic, and relaxing area. This was it! It is also a short drive to all the main places we wanted to visit. The checkout cleanup list is a lot considering you pay large cleaning fee. Also shouldn't have to hear personal
political views on vacation...

This beautiful and comfortable vacation cabin is equipped with EVERYTHING needed to accommodate infants to adults. It's quiet secluded wooded area is only minutes away from the ocean beaches where our children enjoy spending most of their time. Information leaflets about the area are in the cabin and the hosts are available to answer questions. We enjoy cooking 'fresh from the ocean' seafood meals during our stay and all the needed utensils are there. After a most comfortable nights sleep, we are ready to enjoy another peaceful uncrowded day at the ocean. YES--this is the Perfect Vacation Cabin! The Nuite and Jacoby Families

The cabin was a perfect location for our family’s first visit to Maine. The pictures don’t do it justice. We loved being so close to the Scoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia and enjoyed the local sites in Corea. The cabin was spotless and the amenities and information were appreciated! We definitely hope to be back one day! Thanks again for a great trip.

We had a wonderful time in this cute cabin! It was perfect for our family of four and was located in a cute, quiet village that’s convenient to the Schoodic side of Acadia National Park. The cabin truly had everything we needed, including information about Corea and things to do in the surrounding area.

We had a lovely time at Barb & Jim’s cabin. The space was perfect for our family of 5, with the big kids sharing the bunk beds and the baby rooming with us. Barb & Jim have everything you need and the place is spotless. The outdoor areas are perfect for kids—tether ball, two decks, and a gorgeous pond through the woods. The location can’t be beat! We can’t wait to return.

My husband and I are currently rebuilding a house in Corea and have been coming up the last year and a half to work on the house with the builder. This is the first time the log cabin was available for our dates, and it was perfect for our needs. A lot of care has gone into providing everything you need, and the cabin was spotless. The weather was quite cold for June, but the heater warmed up the cabin quickly, and the overall feel is cozy and comfortable. We used the second bedroom to store our clothes and had plenty of room. I don’t have a single complaint, and would rebook, but hopefully we will be neighbors soon! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

The cabin was clean, neat and very well equipped. All you need to bring is the food you want to cook. Some good restaurants are nearby in Winter Harbor and Acadia NP is an easy drive. For us, the best feature was the feeling of seclusion, a little cabin in the woods, that was nonetheless within easy access to all the attractions of the area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it .

Jim and Barbara have done everything possible to create a pleasant and trouble free stay for their guests. From their initial e-mail and throughout my entire stay they answered all my questions and offered tips on how to make my vacation adventure complete. The cabin is immaculate and stocked with all the amenities a person might want, from fluffy towels to indoor/outdoor games to an electric flyswatter! Lol! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning in the future.

A fabulous place to stay in Corea, Maine. Everything you might want, and possibly more, were provided. The host. Jim, was a phone call away at all times. We particularly enjoyed the front and back decks so that I could read in the sun on the front deck while my husband read his French novel aloud on the back deck. Lovely towels, great shower, superbly equipped kitchen. Got cooked fresh lobster at the Lobster Pound shop at Winter Harbor (also great for fish and shellfish, the Lobster Bisque was wonderful.) A quiet, peaceful place within walking distance of the charming lobster-fishing village of Corea.

We had the most lovey stay in this adorable cabin in Corea, Maine. The house had everything we needed and the location was perfect to explore the Schoodic Peninsula. There is a lovely beach and a nature preserve about 2 minutes away, and the Schoodic part of Acadia is about 15 minutes away. Also don't miss Jones Pond for beautiful swimming/fishing/kayaking. Jim was a wonderful host and stopped by and gave us all the information we needed for a perfect stay.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this quaint cabin. It had everything that we needed and everything that was promised in the listing. Jim and Barbars were perfect hosts, checking in with us shortly after we arrived and answering all of our questions. This property met our needs perfectly and was in very close proximity to all of the beautiful things that the local area and all of Downeast Maine had to offer. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a quiet place in the woods, with all the comforts of home.

The cabin was very clean and quiet, Mr James was very helpful, quick phone call away. We had everything we needed. The worse part was everything was 1 hour to 2 hours away, but I would definitely go back if I was looking for peace and quiet to relax.

The cabin had everything we needed for our family and toddler. Jim was a wonderful host. He was very insightful and shared a lot of trip ideas and local info with us. You can tell the hosts love the area and want you to do the same. The trails behind the cabin to Mill Pond was a pleasant surprise!

This adorable rustic cabin "in the woods" was exactly what we were looking for with our twin 15 year old boys while exploring the area. The cabin is very quaint and clean, and it was equipped with everything we could need and more. Jim and Barb are the perfect hosts and live next door so he was very helpful and informative about everything in the area. Per his advice, we also bought some lobsters from the local lobster co-op one day fresh off the dock and coked them in the lobster cooker on the back deck. It was delicious! His son is also a local oyster farmer and can provide delicious oysters on the half shell if you don't mind shucking them. The Pickled Wrinkle and Chases restaurants were nearby and good as well. We rented bikes and biked the Schoodic Peninsula loop of Acadia National Park one day, and hiked and toured the main island another day as well as Bar Harbor. There is so much to see and do and the natural beauty is everywhere. This cabin was close enough to everything while giving us the rustic cozy cabin feel we really wanted at the same time. Jim and Barb are the perfect hosts, and we will definitely return!

Beautiful, comfortable cabin with everything there for living away from home.
This cabin included everything needed for staying away from home. Only needed to provide food. Purchased our fresh fish and lobster from the local fishermen. All the cooking equipment for cooking everything was there. The beds were the most comfortable we've ever had at a summer rental cabin. The
washer and dryer was really appreciated as it took care of the wet swimwear and sweaty adventuring clothes. It's located within minutes from all of our favorite sites in the area as we like the sparsely populated places.
The hosts were very friendly and had many suggestions for meeting our desired activities of the area. The RED INFORMATION NOTEBOOK was very helpful. We would return to this awesome cabin again.
