Need a get away? Welcome to our second home we call "The Georgia Peach."
Whether you are looking for a quiet relaxing family getaway or an adventurous ski, lake or hiking vacation, the Georgia Peach is close to it all and can not be beat.
The Georgia Peach was built in the 1920's when Big Bear Lake was a roaring gold mining boom town. In the 80's the Peach had some major additions added including a master bedroom with bath and a garage which doubled it's size. The Peach is located on Georgia Street and is one of the most beautiful streets in Big Bear Lake.
At the turn of the last century when Big Bear was a gold boom town, Georgia Street was close enough to the town (now called the Village) for the miners to walk to and from, but far enough away, that the law didn't care what went on. It is said that back in the 1920's and 1930's that Georgia street was considered the wild west of big bear.
Now this quiet historic street where the Georgia Peach sits, boasts peace and serenity. The perfect place to get away from the traffic and noise of the city. You will first notice the beauty of Georgia street when you enter it. The tall trees that flank it on both sides block the sun and give it a storybook feel. When the winds blow, the trees sway and it sounds like the forest itself is speaking to you.
When you first arrive at the Peach you will notice how quiet it is except for the birds. The sweet smell of the mountain air will let you know you are truly in the national forest.

The Peach is within walking distance to many of the fun spots in Big Bear. You can walk to the ski slopes or even mountain bike there to enjoy the trails. The lake is at the bottom end of the street, and you could walk to the village where you can eat and shop. Hours of great family fun await you at the Georgia Peach.
The Peach is a 2 story rustic cabin approximately 1300 square feet with 2 bedrooms, 3 beds that can sleep 6 people comfortably. We not only wash all the linens and bedding but sanitize before the guests arrive.
The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser, closet and wall mounted TV. There is also a bathroom with shower located downstairs.
The huge upstairs bedroom has a king size bed, as well as full size bed with dressers and closet. There is also a full bathroom with bathtub shower combo upstairs. The huge room upstairs is perfect for the kids to share and have access to a bathroom. With a tank-less water heater no one has to worry about getting a cold shower or bath.
The living room and both bedrooms have flat screen high definition televisions with free local TV, and streaming services.
There is a full kitchen with a dishwasher and the basic essentials. We provide a coffee pot as well as a coffee bar, which includes teas and fun stuff for the kids. The kitchen table can expand to accommodate 6 guests.
We have included a professional Poker top to fit over the kitchen table for the poker players out there. This can be found under the downstairs bed. Nothing beats a great Poker Party in the woods.
There is also a washer and dryer for your convenience.
There are lots of great activities to enjoy inside the Peach, including a Foosball table, watch TV or a movie. We also include an Ethernet cable and an HDMI cable to (Bring Your own Gaming System) plug your favorite gaming console in for hours of gaming on the Den TV.
Outside the peach there is a long driveway. This driveway can accommodate trailers. The Peach also has a garage and a carport to keep your cars out of the snow and the rain. The garage is a great place to store your bikes and kayaks between rides.
Imagine sitting under the stars in your very own hot tub after a long day of skiing or biking or just hanging out. There is nothing better than enjoying the quiet grandness of the forest while relaxing in a bubbling hot tub.
In the summer you can walk to the lake and enjoy a nice sunny day on the sandy beach and if you get too hot jump right in. In the winter you can enjoy the slopes near by. Snow Summit also has a free shuttle to Bear Mountain.
To make sure you and your family and friends have a safe vacation, the Peach is has smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the house.
Rest assured as we do have security cameras that cover the outside of the home for your safety.
For security purposes, we have 3 cameras outside of the home. We had a great stay at the Georgia Peach! The house was very nice and clean in a quiet and quaint neighborhood almost at the end of the street. Everything looked like it had been freshly cleaned and laundered. The owner was very responsive to all messages prior to our stay, and we did not have to message during our stay at all. They had very straightforward rules throughout the house that were easy to follow. A hiking trail was very close by. We were able to walk approximately a mile into a nice area in town that had several shops, restaurants and bars. Many of the establishments were dog friendly too! Our only disappointment with Big Bear in general (which had nothing to do with where we stayed! The house was great!!) was that it was our first time visiting Big Bear Lake, and we were ready for boating and swimming and fun in the water! ....However they have a "no swimming in the lake" rule that caught us off guard.... Our fault for not reading the fine print with that part. So, if you are looking for water activities, but no swimming in the water, totally worth a visit! We were still able to enjoy the mountain air, a hike, and good food and drinks! And had a very peaceful stay at the Georgia Peach

We all enjoyed our stay at this property.
Appreciated all info about the Big Bear area that was in a binder for us to look over.
The welcome water, cookies and popcorn was a treat.

The Georgia Peach truly is a peach 🍑 the place has a genuine rustic feel and is very adorable! The owner is good with communicating. The place was very clean. The only issue we had was that the driveway is not meant for every kind of car and one of our cars scraped really badly getting in and out of the driveway and ended up having to be parked in front of the place instead.

We rented the Georgia Peach for 3 nights, as we were participating in the Big Bear Fun Run car show. Having a garage to park our classic Nova was essential , and the cost was reasonable. 4 adults were plenty comfortable. The beds were great, and the location is quiet, easily accessed and very close to the Village.

Very nice and comfortable cabin/house in Big Bear Lake area in a quiet neighborhood. Close to everything - the Village, the Lake, restaurants, shops, etc. Cabin has everything you need, plus a hot tub. Owners were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. I was just up for a day to do some practice hiking at higher altitude and they let me check in a little early after my hike. Highly recommended. You really can't go wrong.

We really enjoyed staying here, it's dog friendly and a great romantic spot to escape the city life. The place was very clean and we loved the hot tub. It's super close to the lake and downtown with a nice trail at the end of the street. We'll be trying to come back real soon!

Perfect family getaway. I've only been to Big Bear for skiing. This was our first time up here during the non-snow season, and this cottage was absolutely perfect for my family of 5.
It was extremely easy to communicate with our hosts, the cottage had a wonderful, cozy feel to it, and we absolutely loved the foosball table that kept our family entertained every night. The hosts also equip the property with a very detailed binder of things to do, rules, and options. It was better than a typical hotel. I was initially concerned about the summer heat, but they equipped the upper bedroom with a box fan that easily blew in the cool breeze for comfortable sleeping nights.
I definitely look forward to coming back here again!

lots of space , great location, we enjoyed our family vacation owners very helpful left information in cabin and answered when had questions. The weather was hotter than usual for big bear and no AC but we had fans.

The Georgia Peach is a wonderful place. It was just the wife and I and a couple pups so we had more than enough room. It was very hot up the hill over the 4th of July so we followed the directions the owners left in the binder to keep the place as cool as we could. With temps near the 90s during the day, the upstairs was 78 and downstairs 76 inside by bedtime and continued to cool from there :) The location is great and it’s very quiet since it’s near the end of the street. We will definitely keep this place in mind when we come up again.

I highly recommend this rustic cabin. It is tucked in a wooded area with wildlife abound. The cabin was built in 1940 and was solidly built and well maintained. It is minutes away from hiking trails as well as restaurants.

We loved the remote nature of the space and the cosy rustic feel of the cabin. It had everything we needed and more!

Georgia Peach is a very comfortable home- older and a little dark (paneling) but has everything you need. It Is in a fantastic area if you like being in the woods, near town and a great trail. We even had a resident coyote wandering around. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to big bear and our stay at the Georgia Peach.

The location was great, the kids had fun sledding down the hill up the street, although it was a bit confusing to figure out which hill to sled down. It's not very clear as to which direction to go in, and it's also as if youre sledding down a hill that's part of someone else's property. The listing advertises it as free range, but it doesnt feel like it. The cabin itself was ok, had a bit of an odd odor to it, kids also expressed it smelled a little off, not your typical cabin smell. There is no poker table as the pictures show. My 19 year old brought his poker chips to play with my husband, so we were a bit disappointed. At the end of our stay, the host charged us an extra cleaning fee for absolutely no reason. He claimed the jacuzzi was left "milky", as if someone had lotion on when they went in. I received photos and couldn't see any indication that called for an extra charge. It seems like the host got his jacuzzi drained and serviced at our expense, OR, the host just pocketed an extra $125. All in all, we all felt a bit toyed with during our entire stay from beginning to end. We definitely won't be staying here again.

We took out granddaughter to the snow for the first time. The cabin was cute and cozy. We especially loved there was a sledding hill within walking distance.

We just stay one day, very quiet, near shopping and village. House is clean.

The cabin is exactly as described. It was clean and cozy. All the amenities you need are there. There’s a place for the kids to play in the snow just two properties away. I highly recommend this cabin for your stay in Big Bear

This is a nice older lodging that is close to Snow Summit and downtown. All 3 of us enjoyed the hot tub but unfortunately the snow was at a minimum so we couldn't go sledding. The beds were comfortable and we had unlimited foosball for the evenings.

My little family of 4 and our little dog stayed. We had such a greay time! The location is right next to the village and theres a perfect little area at the end of tve dead road to go sledding or even the driveway was perfect for our 4yr old and 10yr old. They were up every morning out there! We go back if we come back to Big bear!

Cabin space, furnishings, supplies and location exceeded our expectations. Host delivers on everything a family with dog might need. Children of all ages will enjoy foosball table and other games provided. Each floor has own bedroom and bath. Upstairs has a king size bed as well as another full size bed with plenty of floor space for a porta crib or kids to play board games. Each floor and bedroom is equipped with own TV’s. Host provides dog bowls, leash, charging cables, umbrellas, and whatever one might need or forget to bring along. Furnishings and beds are comfortable, and you will likely find flannel sheets on beds in winter months. This is not new construction, but a cozy place with well maintained amenities. Bathrooms have updates, hot water on demand, and everything is super clean. This cabin was the perfect fit for our two families, (four adults and two children.) Host is extremely attentive to details to provide guests with a great experience.

Going to Big Bear with our family, this was the ideal home and location. We go every winter and this home felt secluded but was just down the block from the main roads. We felt like we were in our winter wonderland AND it was easy to get everywhere.
Inside, the house was clean, nice, roomy, and felt great. Everyone had a blast.
4.0
We were so disappointed in the Georgia Peach. From the uncomfortable couches & beds to the lack of hot water in the shower it was totally disappointing. The cookware was so old & scratched up that we didn’t even use it The bath towels are several years old not to mention small, course & scratchy. Most of the outlets didn’t work. A sign in the kitchen says do not put anything down the kitchen sink threatens that any plumbing issues you will be responsible for but provide no means by which to catch food from going down the drain. The handle of the toaster has to be held down in order to work! It wasn’t snowing when we were there & thank goodness because I’m sure the driveway is a disaster in the snow!! The wrong address is on the listing & it took us a long time to realize it was the house across the street!!!! We will NOT be back here as there are so many other places that are really nice to choose from!!!!

It is a beautiful and comfortable cabin, very well-equipped and clean.
A small recommendation: change the toaster because it no longer works well.
For those who want to spend a few beautiful days in Big Bear, "The Georgia Peach" is the perfect place..!!
We enjoyed it a lot as a family..!!!

Super convenient location with everything needed. Was looking for tranquility and was delighted to find it but would be a great place for an active family or group, too. Nice size hot tub. A bit intimidated at first by the angle of the driveway due to low clearance passenger car but managed just fine. Have already recommended to friends and very much hope to stay again. Thank you!

We really loved this space. It's great for a weekend stay, but would be even better for a week or more as it has everything you need including the soap.
We really loved having indoor washer and dryer so we could keep everything clean, and we were able to cook all our own meals to save money. The large upstairs master suite is perfect for parents and small kids, while the downstairs bedroom would be great for a teen.
The 6 person hot tub is a real treat, especially on cold nights.
The owners have amazing communication and made us feel incredibly welcome. They also greatly minimize the amount you need to do to check out. Just put your dishes in the dishwasher and your trash in the large bins in the garage. Way easier than most stays.
We had two small children with us and they both loved it. Also having a TV in every room made life much easier.

I needed to escape the city for a bit and found this gem of a cabin. The location was amazing - right near the forest and gorgeous trails. The cabin was fully stocked, we had everything we needed and more! The owners made sure there were many homey touches everywhere we looked. My kids, my dogs, my husband, and I were all satisfied! We'll be back!
