This beautiful waterfront home offers 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths and is located in the village of Owls Head, Maine (just off Route 73) with amazing ocean views. It is the perfect vacation home for a large family or two families that enjoy traveling together. The home has an open concept living area that is filled with light, and a large deck that spans the full width of the home, overlooking the harbor. The kitchen is fully-equipped with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances.
The home has just been completely renovated in 2016 with brand new furnishings, linens, and kitchenware. The location is perfect for you to enjoy everything that Midcoast Maine has to offer…museums, restaurants, light houses, shopping, hiking, and beaches. It’s just minutes from Rockland’s vibrant downtown and only a few miles from the Knox County Regional Airport.

The expansive deck overlooks the harbor and is outfitted with a barbeque, outside dining area, and rocking chairs. The house is beautifully situated on Rockland harbor a short kayak away from a beautiful beach. The house was a little dirtier than we would have liked upon checkin with a fair bit of black mold in the upstairs bathroom and on the window and doorframes. Other than that the house is well provisioned and in a great location

We had an amazing week stay at this house. The only negative part about the trip is that we only rented it for a week, we didn't want to leave. The check in was super easy, and we were encouraged to reach out to the management company if we had any problems, which we didn't. The view is spectacular. If you have not visited Maine before, the tide change is quite extreme and at low tide the cove is empty. The three men/boys that are in our family enjoyed that as they searched for crabs and anything else left behind. The cove was a great place for kayaking, and we brought a few of our own. The neighborhood was super quiet and the property provides full privacy. The house provides all that you will need to entertain large families for meals and relaxation. The time on the deck was relaxing, and we had a back yard fire multiple times. We had 7 people and there was room for more. So glad we picked this house, and it was worth the money for an amazing vacation. There is so much to do in the Rockland area, either land or sea based activities.

Beautiful home right on a small bay in Owls Head that our families enjoyed. Close to Rockland and several interests there, Breakwater/Owls Head lighthouses, and ferries/boats nearby to head out on the water. The home had some fun games and large gathering places inside and outside. Highly recommend staying here!

This house has the most amazing views from the deck. We saw beautiful sunrises, rolling fog, and scudding clouds as the tides came in and out.
The beds were comfortable. Location is great, close to Rockland, Rockport, Camden, Owls Head and Thomaston.
We had great meals at McLoons and Ada’s Kitchen. Hiked at Camden Hills Stare Park, Owl’s Heads Lighthouse, Beech Hill Preserve, and Rockland Breakwater.
Only disappointment is the ability to kayak. We did not feel safe using the steps down to the water, never mind trying to carry a kayak down.

We were looking to get away and relax. This was the perfect vacation for us! The house was very comfortable and clean. We experienced several beautiful sunrises, each one different. We explored Rockland and Camden. Lots of little shops and great restaurants.

Location was as good as described and expected. No complaints other than minor cleanliness that had to do as much with the recent weather (very wet and rainy) and the hurricane that came through on our departure day. Amenities were excellent with nothing that we found needing. We highly recommend anyone considering this property.

The house was very clean, and essentially as described in the VRBO listing. The main living area is on the second floor, with large sitting and dining areas, complemented by a very spacious deck across the entirety of the water-side of the house. The location on the southern outskirt of Rockland is excellent for quick access to the town's many restaurants, shops and cultural sites, and for day trips in the area. One thing to be aware of if your party has members who have any difficulty walking, is that the main/second floor is up a very steep set of stairs from the front door and garage.

My family enjoyed this property: its location and views, and the fact that the house was well equipped. The bedrooms were comfortable, living areas, open and cheerful, and the back porch, yard and access to the beach, enjoyable. We would recommend this property to families.

Very comfortable home with a fantastic waterfront view. Well stocked with kitchen items, smart TVs, and kayaks. It was incredibly easy to get into to town. It was nice to have air-conditioning when the weather started to warm up. We had a top-notch experience.

The rental was exactly as shown and described on VRBO. It was an extremely clean property, furnished nicely, and the kitchen was well stocked. The view of the water was especially nice at high tide, the deck is quite large too. The only concern was the steps leading down to the water to launch the kayaks was steep and cumbersome. For our age group being older, it was a chore to go up and down the steps with the equipment. However, very pleased with our week long stay !

This is a great location for short drives to nearby harbors, restaurants, and lighthouses. The view is spectacular and there is plenty of space for birdwatching from the back porch. Definitely a top notch place!!

We had a great stay in this property! The house is sunny and more than roomy enough for the four of us, with a truly excellent, well-equipped kitchen. The deck and yard overlooking the large inlet are more delightful than the photos can ever tell. Kayaks got a workout, and at two minutes into Downtown Rockland, the location is perfect--quiet but close to the action.
BTW, the property managers were great--answered a couple of small questions, even after hours, and were thorough and efficient before and during the stay.

You can't be in a better spot. Great views, a chance to experience to large tidal variations, wildlife and birds. A seafood shop and butcher shop just down the street. Only location issue is the next door neighbor wo can be a bit overbearing if you aren't very attentive to your parking.
The house itself is in need of some updating. Stained rugs; some kitchen stuff very well taken care of while other stuff is overused, missing or broken; blinds that didn't work; a grill that requires special handling, an outdoor railing with exposed nails, etc., are what keeps this from being a 5-star visit. The rental management company was very helpful more than not, but didn't address all our issues. The mini-splits in the upstairs weren't as effective as we had hoped, and the back screen door is a total pain as it operates poorly and has a gap to let bugs in.
Despite those minor issues, we had a wonderful time and would definitely consider staying here again.

We enjoyed our stay with three families.
Waterfront and lawn perfect. Quiet location. Kitchen well stocked with good knives and all you need to cook and eat lobstahs.
Only thing we'd change would be a swap out the charcoal grill for a gas one!

Disappointing
Location and view are excellent, but closer attention to detail would eliminate problems. Ice maker in the refrigerator still not functioning properly despite and earlier critique, blind in in the master bedroom broken, and TV system is absolutely useless. Can NOT get LIVE shows,sports,etc. (only news from NY or FL). Property management individual didn't seem too interested in addressing problems directly (text message only). No physical presence since she must be in Portland. Will not be returning to this property in future visits. VERY disappointing in comparison to other properties in the area.

Everything was great. We basically used the house as a base and traveled out everyday.
The house was very clean and was as it was advertised. There were a couple of things that needed fixing which we discovered after being there a few days. The ice maker was very unreliable, 2 of the rocking chairs had cracked rockers so we didn't use them, and the front screen door had a separated screen on the left as you go out. We did not see the elderly neighbors but the ones directly across from the house were overly nosey and even took photos on one occasion when we left the van in front of the house for a couple hours before heading out again.

Fabulous Maine Retreat!
We had a house full of family including two children , ages 4 & 5. Everyone enjoyed this week of vacation! The house is lovely, clean (and fully equipped), and well located at the center of all our activities, allowing us to take easy day trips further away, such as Portland (headlight) and Freeport (LLBean & shopping) and Acadia/Bar Harbor. Owls Head and Rockland of the nearby towns (Thomaston, Camden, Rockport) had so many cute shops and restaurants. We loved being able to hike Owls Head, Mount Battie & Acadia. We all enjoyed a few nights roasting marshmallows at the house firepit and seeing planets appear and shooting stars. Plus, some in our party enjoyed taking the kayaks into our gorgeous quiet cove. All in all, a beautiful, memorable week!

Perfect Week in Maine
The home had everything we needed and exceeded expectations. We were able to make wonderful meals like shrimp and scallops dinner, fish tacos, lunches for day trips, and serve coffee and beverages from dawn until dusk; so many cups and glasses! The open space was perfect for the family that came from three different locations in the Midwest to gather together. Wonderful stay!
We had a great time in this VRBO in Owl's Head. It exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well stocked, the house was clean and beautifully decorated, and that view- WOW! We will definitely look at renting here again if we are back in this area.

Perfect four-bedroom, comfortable and spacious. Everything you needed in the kitchen. Beautiful view from the back balcony. Make sure you stop and five firewood because there’s a fire pit outside right on the water.. The house & property were absolutely lovely! The view from the deck & windows was incredible! The house was very cozy with great amenities. The beds were so comfy! There were 8 of us, ranging in age from 21-80. Everyone had their own space but the common areas were perfect for "hanging out" together. I would love to visit again!

Everything was exactly as expected and as pictured in the listing. I would book this property again. The tide goes a long way out. I can just imagine kids playing in the low tide in warmer weather but water shoes are a must. We visited for Easter, joined by our college kids. Maine in April is cold and so most of our time was spent inside with puzzles, games, cooking and movies. The view was spectacular, the living space very comfortable and a well stocked kitchen. We worked a bit and kids had online classes - no issues with internet or cell coverage.

Wonderful home Stunning Views
This is a lovely home with simply stunning views. We visited with our three young adullt children and everyone loved it. It was a real pleasure to wake every morning to the sunrise over the water. Because of covid, we didn't eat out while there but the kitchen was perfect for cooking and eating in the dining room with the views of the bay was better than a restaurant. We would definitely come back.

Maine Vacation!
We had a great time at Sue’s house.! It was a nice location, and the property and home were beautiful! We had fun with the kayaks and family dinners at night. The house is a perfect spot to go find things to do around the local shops in area, or in the little towns along rye one. Day trips to Acadia or down to Boothbay were easy and fun! We had lots of fun there! The house is beautiful, and nice and neat and clean- not to mention beautifully decorated. Sue was really awesome to deal with! Lots of great memories were made there...:)!
