Fantastic find - loved our stay and we will return.
Location, comfort, access to the swimming pool and spa, food, staff - all excellent!
There was no plug near a mirror which made drying/styling hair difficult and perhaps a couple of shelves in the wardrobe would have helped.

Not a big issue, but didn’t realise it wasn’t in a village centre.

Great little hotel in a picturesque location
We loved the bed (four poster, wasn't expecting it!), and the room was cosy, comfy and warm. The breakfast was exceptional, cooked to order and had no issue with me asking for extra sausage and hash brown with my eggs benedict! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We also made use of the free pool and sauna facilities, which were a great added bonus, clean and nearby to the hotel. Would thoroughly recommend staying here, we aim to come back again in the summer 👍

A lovely relaxing location with many nearby places of interest in the Yorkshire Dales
The staff at reception are extremely helpful and friendly. The facilities, spa, pool, and gym are clean. The location is perfect, we ended staying 6 nights originally intending to stay for 2. Food in the Gamekeepers Lodge is lovely and not over-priced. The 1940s event in Grassington was excellent!
The Wi-Fi connection was poor in our pod (good in the Woodland Cafe and Gamekeepers Lodge) and no hot food was available in the Woodland Cafe due to lack of staff (they are currently recruiting).

A lovely place spoiled by a poor bed
Just five minutes drive from the beautiful village of Grassington (where All Creatures Great and Small is filmed) and in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales. The room was spotless, warm and modern (yet with a country cabin feel) and the large bathroom was lovely. The included breakfast was nice too. Fast WiFi everywhere is a bonus when there is little phone signal in the Dales. A great stopover during our road trip around North Yorkshire.
Only one thing…. the four poster bed was really uncomfortable. Way too low to the ground and the mattress was really soft. Sadly we didn’t sleep very well. We would have preferred less style and more substance from a Premier Inn type bed, after, a hot shower and a good sleep is really all you need.

Nice friendly place to stay, great facilities and well located.
The building and bedrooms seemed recently built, both were in good condition and the bedroom was warm and very clean when we arrived. The staff were really welcoming, we checked in at the bar which was fine, the staff spotted us as we came through the door and were ready to check us in even though it was relatively busy. She showed us to our room which was in a separate building but still only 30 secs to the bar/restaurant. There were sensible features in the room, an umbrella and somewhere to put wet shoes/boots also plenty of storage. We ate in the restaurant on the evening, it was relatively small so good to book, the staff were really friendly and food was nice, it had a nice feel with a tree and crackers to add to the festive vibe. Breakfast was also really nice, you help yourself to drinks, cereal etc. and they serve you cooked food which was fresh and tasty. We spent some time in the pool area which also seemed recently built so everything was nice and fresh, there's a gym, large pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. It was pretty busy, I think it must have been peak time when we were there but not a problem.
The restaurant was a bit cold, it was -5C outside so it is understandable but given it is mostly glass and metal it would be better to have some more effective heating in there to make it more comfortable. There were a number of little lights around the bedroom (2 x fire alarm points, the fire alarm on the ceiling, the fire exit sign and the TV) that were on or flashed all night which when you aren't used them are a bit bothersome overnight. Also the bathroom fan, which came on with the light, took ages to turn off. Could maybe do with more staff in the leisure centre, there were a couple of groups of lads who I guess were day guests and were a bit loud and chucking a ball about, not a major problem to us but would have been good if someone was there to have a quiet word with them...also to mop the changing room floors which got rather wet.

Ok
Clean but small room. Nice swim & spa available
10am check out is way too early, especially when you cannot check in until 3pm! 9.30 breakfast finish is also too early on a weekend. We were there to relax
