Great location, charming property, helpful staff, and we loved the historic vibe. It was a lovely change of pace from a typical hotel.

A wonderful and unique stay. We loved having a private space inside the fort, and the flat was excellent. We would recommend anyone stay at Elizabeth Fort and would stay again in the future.

Very capable and friendly host. Excellent location and accommodations. You stay not near or around but actually in the fort. I would highly recommend it.

The property was in a historic location.
It was warm. An air conditioner in the bedrooms would have made it much more comfortable.

The property was beautiful. The house was good.
There were no instructions on how to use the appliances. We had to ask for help or look up how to use something.

location was superb, central to Cork with everything on your doorstep, the fort itself is steeped in history we walked the walls and visited the women’s history element which we enjoyed, the property itself has everything you need to enjoy a self catering break, it’s also authentic comfortable and beautifully presented, there is a lovely courtyard garden to enjoy with small table and chairs to relax on, we would definitely recommend this accommodation and would look to book again in the future, Geraldine was a great house manager and very responsive to any questions

The property is a genuine time capsule and beautifully decorated. Lovely wood burner and comfortable living room. There’s a lot of love in the house and attention to detail. Loved in but clean and stylish.
I really couldn’t fault anything. Location is excellent for walking into town. Will definitely recommend and look to return.

Geraldine, the host was great. We checked in early and checked out late. Very accomodating, excellent situation.
Unfortunately, alarms went off at 5am. first night. This was due to work going on elsewhere in the Fort. Lasted 30 mins but did go off.

I think the location was my favourite part. It's very central and lose to a lot of services. Not to mention, it's in a fort which is definitely a unique experience.
While the fort was open there would be people walking past outside (on the kitchen and bathroom side of the house) so it didn't feel very private at times.

Great location for exploring Cork. Geraldine the host was great at communicating and the staff on site were very friendly and helpful. For a feeling of what it was like to live here 70+ years ago it was unique but very comfortable.

An oasis away from the bustle of Cork City. Super host. Great to have a backyard.
I live in an older property and understand the challenges, but this felt a little bit neglected.

it was very nice and quaint, nice change from an hotel room, lots of space. I enjoyed the theme of traditional home along with modern living. it is not too far from town and there are shops and bars nearby. very peaceful , everyone very friendly
whilst it was a short walk to town, there is a bit of steep hill

Great location; nice to stay somewhere unusual.
No parking, no wifi, no TV. Very expensive for what it was. The curtains were useless, they did not block out any sunlight. Lots of things went wrong, e.g. the fridge and other kitchen sockets stopped working so the fridge defrosted itself; the heating did not work - issues that should have been noted before we arrived. The host was okay but provided no guide to how the house worked, e.g. where the bins were, how the heating worked. Loads of small things could be done to improve the house without great expense e.g. blackout blinds, proper doorstops at each door.

The house was lovely and the location was perfect - a short walk to anywhere we needed to go in cork!
It was a bit strange that visitors were just outside but this was not a problem

The house was charming and comfortable. The location was unique and quite convenient to everything. We enjoy walking. Although there were small groups of tourists during the day after 5 we were completely alone in the walled fort unless there were other tennant’s next door in the adjacent apartment.
It was cozy an decorated beautifully with. all the modern conveniences.
