The location was nice and the organisation was great.
Our room didn't have windows, which a very massive down grade for me. There were only 2 small sealing windows very difficult to open.

Staff were all super friendly and the hostel was a short walk from the bus stop from Galway.
Wifi was absolutely terrible and couldn’t use it at all. A couple of times I managed to use but then it would cut out when someone else decided to use it.
There seemed to be a large group of about 30 teenagers staying there for the night (Tuesday night) as well who were very loud and noisy until 1am. They were also knocking on randoms doors and generally just didn’t seem to think about other people staying there.

Great location despite the hill! The bus to Dublin was nearby. Friendly staff. Comfy eating area.
It sounded like my neighbours were dragging bowling balls across the floor!

The woman at reception was an absolute sweetheart.
She welcomed me with a wonderful smile.
People like her need to be protected at any cost!
Gem!!

Receptionists are kind and friendly. I appreciate it.
I stayed two nights.
Bathroom's door was closed since 9am as cleaning service, it's far from check-out time and I still needed so it was quite inconvenient.
The hand wash is never refilled in the bathroom.
The cleaning staffs also start cleaning the kitchen before 9am so it wasn't easy to prepare breakfast.

location and price very cheap

The hostel is in a central location and parking is free.
Because of the lack of affordable accommodation in Cork, Sheila's cleans up among those looking for a bit more privacy. I had a room to myself but a bunk bed without an en-suite. The room was basic, decor limited, and of course you're competing for use of toilet and showers. Vastly over-priced but they know they will get it.

A great central location in Cork city, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was as expected, clean and fairly quiet for a busy hostel!

Reception staff are the best of Sheila’s hostel
The room was extremely dirty, under my bed I found a bra I assume I was from the previous guest…
I only noticed because my AirPods fell under the bed, lots of paper and used tissue.
The bathroom, very very dirty.
Ladies from Reception you are the best of this place.

The location is wonderful.
This is the worst hostel I have ever slept in. The beds in the dorms were of pour quality, the mattresses were rock hard (I had severe pain in my shoulder the next days), the pillows were extremely thin. All night I was kept awake by people snoring in an unhealthy rhytm and volume, and people using the exit of the room and the bathroom. The bathroom was extremely filthy. One person pooped in the shower and when I used the shower the sink was stuffed with lots of hair and filth. The whole hostel was sticky and nothing looked clean. We booked 3 nights, but went away on the third night. The city is lovely, but the hostel is awful.

Location
Room was very spartan and little ventilation in the room

Super friendly staff! 14bed dorm was very spacious. Great location a little bit up the hill so you get nice views over the city.
Showers didn't drain at all. All my stuff got soaked cause there was also no extra space to get dressed or hang your clothes. Kitchen was way too small for that big of a hostel, always crowded and did not provide anything. No oil, no salt/pepper, no coffee or tea and not even sharp knives to cut vegetables. Everything could be cleaner aswell.

Helpful staff
Tiny room and cery crowded.

Location was fantastic, although the hill might not suit everybody. Good on site facilities. Very clean and staff were friendly
The size of the rooms were TINY. Very basic accommodation. I also was quite angry with the fact you could not sit outside after 11pm, Even to just read a book in the open.
