Great location and a car park… excellent breakfasts
The room we had - Tiddley Pomme - was at the back of the building and had no flow through air. On a warm day it is very uncomfortable sleeping.

Great variety and served with a smile

Room was a little on the small size but just about big enough

La ubicación muy bien, en pocos minutos estabamos en el centro, la habitación muy limpia y la señora Ling al igual que su esposo muy agradables, el desayuno excelente. Estabamos como en casa

The breakfast options were delicious. We had the full English breakfast and also the Scottish salmon. Ling was a lovely host, an easy conversationalist and happy to share local recommendations as well as snippets of her (interesting) life story. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The antique Asian decor was lovely. The location is fabulous - a short walk to the Bath cathedral and Roman Baths. We parked our car at the local Cricket club car-park and left it there for our two night stay. It's a short walk from The Apple Tree (and on the way to Bath city), but we offloaded our suitcases first then headed to the carpark. It's fine for able-bodied adults, but something to bear in mind if anyone has disabilities.
Not criticisms but considerations: The parking wasn't an issue for us (and was very reasonable as we weren't using the car during our stay) but is a short walk away. Also, consider the stair-cases to guest rooms for less physically able guests. We managed just fine.

If you can chose Royal Gala room.
4.8
Very comfortable, bright, room (Royal Gala) with a sofa. Easy 10 minute walk to city centre. Owner Ling is very welcoming. Excellent choice for breakfast- cereals, fruit, omelettes, full English , Benedicts etc. Ling very helpful on local attractions and restaurants.
Parking can be a problem as Bath has cracked down on non-resident street parking. There is 24-hour car park nearby, though.

Beautiful and very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. The owner, Mrs Ling, is a lovely and generous lady.

The hostess, Ling, is charming and friendly. The bed and room were very comfortable. The place is spotlessly clean. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The house and decor are very charming. The location is convenient for seeing the main sights in Bath. Highly recommended.

The location of the property. Ling the owner was superb. Was willing to do anything to make your stay better. The B&B was very comfortable and the breakfast was really good. You where slippers while in the hotel which was a nice touch.

Ling is the most wonderful host. Delicious breakfast, great location.
Nothing.

Great breakfast, comfy beds, nice host.

The host was very attentive and did her best to make sure our stay was the best it could be. We enjoyed lovely food as well as good conversation at breakfast. The rooms were comfortable with one of the best showers on our trip. Apple Tree is conveniently located close to the city but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing.

It was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was amazing. It was very close - few minutes walk - to the centre of Bath so a great location. The owner was lovely and friendly. Tea and biscuits in our room was also nice.
The room was not big but it was ok

Excellent location, few minutes from the railway station and within easy walking distance from the city centre. Miss Ling, the host, had welcomed us warmly, serving us a very tasty breakfast every morning! Our room was clean and well equipped. Recommended
4.8
The location of the Apple Tree made it an easy walk for us to see the main sites of Bath, also Ling had been able to allow us to park at the property for most of our visit, which resulted in a saving on parking costs. Another plus was when our car was iced up, Ling was very quick to inform us and assisted in de-icing. Ling checked with us on a daily basis with regards to the restaurants we had booked for our evening dinners, ensuring we had chosen well. A final parting gift from Ling was a bar of chocolate for our journey home-a first class host.
All aspects of our stay were positive- therefore, we have no negative points to record. The only aspect that could have improved our stay would be that the temperature of Bath could have been higher, but what do you expect when the whole of the country is below zero?!

Lin was a good and very helpful host always willing with local advice.

Choice of fried English breakfast or other options was great. Situated on a quiet road just off a main road but could not hear any noise at night. Not on a student "way home" path and only 5 mins walk from the town centre

This boutique hotel is beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated. The location is excellent as one can walk by the river to the town centre. The proprietor was extremely helpful and friendly and she made us very welcome. The breakfast was delicious.

Excellent bed and breakfast just outside the city center of Bath and on walking distance from Bath Spa train station. City center is just 5 to 10 minutes walk away. Compact rooms, check the website for the various sizes, with comfortable beds and excellent bathroom facilities (en suite). Breakfast is freshly cooked, with a nice menu to choose from. Friendly staff and very clean rooms. Walkers (Cotswolds way or otherwise) are very welcome we noticed.
Rooms are compact. A little more facilities to store suitcases and / or clothes would be nice.

We loved everything about Apple Tree. The location is excellent, a short (safe) walk to the centre of Bath. The room and facilities were perfect and provided everything we needed and more. The breakfast was lovely, with a great range of options and all beautifully cooked.
The host, Ling, is amazing. The perfect level of friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Ling gave us really helpful recommendations for our short stay, and made our experience of Bath extremely memorable.
Will be recommending Apple Tree to all our friends and family, and hope to return soon ourselves!
We loved everything. The only downside was being unable to stay longer!

It is truly a place one would where one would love to come back right away after having left! I enjoyed my stay immensely and would like to thank Ling from my whole heart - she is not only a wonderful host but in first place a wonderful person! Attentive, sensitive, caring and always ready to help. And since for me the most important ingredients of happiness were to be found in this house - a piano, a cat (to die for… the most beautiful kitten I have ever seen) and classical radio at breakfast - I certainly do hope to return!
It is a PERFECT place - go and see for yourself!

Ling was a lovely host and we had several interesting conversations with her. We also loved her cat and kitten and appreciated being introduced to them both. The house was spotless and Ling's breakfast omelettes were excellent.
We were surprised on arrival that we had to remove our shoes in the hall but soon got used to wearing the soft mules that were provided.

Breakfasts were fab
