I stayed at the farmhouse with a group of 7 adult hikers. Everyone in the group was absolutely thrilled with the property. The house is spacious, laid out well, and very homey.
The interior is nicely furnished and the kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals and dining.
The grounds are nicely landscaped and deer roam the upper reaches of the property. I would definitely recommend this house for larger groups, and my group has already asked me to rent it again for next year’s trip.
The town of Bolinas is also very unique. There are some nice shops, a well-stocked grocery store, and an excellent restaurant.
Two minor recommendations:
1. Put a sleep sofa or rollaway bed in the downstairs study for extra sleep space and privacy.
2. Provide wine glasses

We had a great time at the property. Property is very comfortable, very tastefully decorated and well stocked. Bolinas is a very cool quaint town with welcoming residents,

We’ve stayed at BoHouse several times and the experience never disappoints. We love the art, the books, the mix of old and new furnishings that reflects a certain beachy Northern California vibe that is both stylish and laidback. The hot tub rocks. Rope swing for the kids and the steps to the top of the hill for ocean views just send it. Many memories have been made here… we hope to have many more over the years. The only problem is… we never want to leave! Thanks BoHouse! We love you!!!

This was our fourth stay at the Bo House. We are a multi generational group and we all love the house. In addition to its perfect location and proximity to the beach and town, we so enjoy the house itself. There is always the perfect place to recreate, play games, catch a nap, read in peace or gather and party. We all appreciate the casual but very tasteful style. Thank you Bo Jouse!!

Our group of 6 women friends enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home in comfortable, large space. Very well equipped kitchen; long dining table, cozy breakfast nook. Loved the big hot tub on the deck. Easy few block from the beach. Hiking and access to Point Reyes. We would happily return!

We were in awe as we arrived, even before entering. The yard is stunning with fruit trees and flowering bushes, the huge decks are inviting, checkin was easy. The house was the perfect size for 11of us. We old folks had our room downstairs next to the incredible bathroom. The next senior slept in the downstairs den. The young man had his cottage up the hill. The 3 giggly girls the bunk room, and the rest had what they needed including space for doing computer work.
Plenty of space, so not to get into anyone’s way.
Easy walk thru town and along the beach for surfing and playing . We do this every summer, the farmhouse was the most perfect so far, well stocked with beach towels, games, music instruments and kitchen everythings. Thanx for sharing this amazing historic home.

Small family reunion to Bolinas including daily hikes, beach time and lots of space in this gorgeous house for music making, games, lovely dinners and discussions. Would return in a heart beat to make even more memories.

This spot was perfect for a family gathering, accommodating ages from 2 to 70. It was our first visit to Bolinas, and we were charmed by this delightful town with its organic farm stands, local markets, a top-notch restaurant, and more. A scenic loop walk from the house takes you through town, along the beach, and back home.
If you're visiting Bolinas, this house is exceptional. It has ample space for a large group, and the spacious dining room was perfect for hosting meals and games. The kitchen was well stocked, including sharp knives - a rarity in rental properties. The living room's comfy sofas were ideal for napping after a day at the beach, while the hot tub was just what we needed after spending time on the sand. The yard behind the kitchen was a great spot for bocce games. Nature lovers in our group loved the quail, hummingbirds, deer, and raccoons on the property. We loved it so much we hope to return next year.

This hidden gem of a retreat is special. In the heart of Bolinas, walking distance to everything, you are spoiled with a sanctuary that no one knows exists. So grateful to have been able to experience it.

This is a beautiful house and a beautiful property! We enjoyed the amazing native ( mostly) plant garden and all the birds it attracts. We walked to downtown Bolinas for smoothies and drove to beautiful trailheads leading to a tide pool beach, Muir Woods and views of the ocean. We were here for the Miwok100 trail race and it was ideal for our family/friend group. The Manager was very helpful and accommodating when we had questions or needs. We all loved staying here!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful property. We were four adults (my husband, sister and her husband) and three teens (17, 15, 13) to enjoy a weekend away. The house is just as described -- beautiful and so much space to relax, enjoy one another's company and play games. Stacked with books and cozy furniture, we very much enjoyed our time, evevn thought it was rainy all weekend! Beds are comfortable and everything is clean. Kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked most meals here. A short walk to the lovely town of Bolinas and the beach. Absolutely recommend and will definitely return if we are in the area.

The house is large and comfortable and sufficiently divided to give everyone some space without feeling distant or isolating. The property is magnificent with trees that must be centuries old and trails abound with beautiful views. The house is a very short walk to both grocers and a liquor store; another few minutes to the beach, and a short drive to another beach with cliff-side trail.
Unlike Stinson, Bolinas has maintained its small-commune atmosphere. Even though we stood out with seven children, the townspeople were very kind and friendly, albeit many were eccentric as most denizens of west Marin seem to be. It is a very beautiful place and one everyone should visit at some point.

The Bo House is truly a unique gem. A place where you feel immediately at home, including because the beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking family meals, and the game cupboard is stocked! We had a wonderful 3-generation family vacation at the property. The location is excellent for a Bolinas stay.

I cannot wait to come back here! This home is absolutely stunning - it's surrounded by nature and designed in a way that makes you immediately relax when you arrive (the hot tub, the decks, the comfy sofa for reading, the wonderful kitchen, etc).

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. The owners thought of everything to ensure everyone has a great stay. The house is settled atop a hill walking distance to the cute little town of Bolinas and the beach. The kids had the best time exploring the property and playing with all the puzzles and games included with the stay. The hot tub was perfect for every age, the large dining table was great for family dinners, and all the beds were incredibly comfortable. We all would absolutely stay there again!

We love the magical and unique Bo house and property. There is always just the right space for gathering, chilling, working, playing or creating. We could always find what we needed!! It’s perfectly located for surfing and exploring town. All ages had a perfect vacation and did not want to leave.

Special property, secluded but somehow right in town. Magical hillside, meadow and pond/gardens. Family and friends were very comfortable with enough room to spread out. Kitchen and rooms well stocked, and everything worked, which is always appreciated, and pretty darn rare in even the best rentals.

Close to the Bay Area, but worlds away from the hustle and bustle, we love spending time in Bolinas, Point Reyes and Stinson beach with our adult kids and grandchildren. This house provides a perfect space, with a family table that makes for great communal meals, prepared on the Viking stove in the kitchen. A large hot tub on a sunny deck is a great place to recover from long hikes, or for the kids to get warm on a cooler foggy morning. There's lots of outdoor space for the kids to explore above and below the house. Giant banana slugs to hunt for in the shady garden - and deer visiting the front garden. While it is an old farm house, the bathroom have been fully remodeled and brought up to date, and the kitchen has a dishwasher and great sink. This was our second stay here -- and we plan to return next year.

Bo House was perfect for a group of 5 friends and a toddler. Beautiful home with a great kitchen, plenty of eating / living space to spread out; upstairs bedrooms especially show off farm house charm. Great location to enjoy Bolinas and explore the area.

One of those stays where it feels like the property is one of the characters in your weekend. Delightful, considerate, stylish, like that cool auntie everyone loves. I can't say enough about how perfect our weekend was. Thank you, Lyn, for your kindness and the opportunity to stay in such a magical, storied home in the chillest town in California.

The Bo house was absolutely perfect. We had a large group of 12 and we were all very comfortable and never felt cramped or crowded. Beautiful home, lovely touches throughout, comfortable beds and linens can’t wait to come back.

I rented the BO house for a short weekend stay with a small group of moms ready to escape for the weekend. We had planned hikes, walks to the beach, outdoor activity but it rained all weekend so we stay in cozy, cooked meals together and chapter by the fire place. The house was so welcoming, has so much charm and is well designed and furnished with mid century pieces. The hospitality was perfect, everything was well described and communicated! I would love to return on a sunny weekend!

This is a lovely home and property! We stayed comfortably here with 9 adults and 2 children under 2. Kitchen and communal spaces are awesome for hanging out with a group. We enjoyed the large dining room table and chalkboard for parlor games :)
I will say, the cabin is a bit removed from the main house with no bathroom access. We didn’t have any takers in our group who wanted to sleep there, but we also didn’t need that room to accommodate our group so it was not a problem for us. I think a brave pair of people would be best suited for that room as it gets dark up there at night. :)
Thanks for a wonderful trip!

Although the house was lovely, the owners were very difficult to reach, we did not receive confirmation emails with instructions until the day of arrival, which was very challenging given the limited Wifi in the region and folks traveling from multiple places. We fully trusted the owners and did not inspect the property ahead of time and then were charged for damages not caused by us and a complete refusal by the owners to discuss the matter. It was very frustrating and unnecessary. Hopefully other guests have better luck. I highly recommend inspecting the property yourself upon checkin to avoid similar situations.

Bolinas isn’t just a place to visit, it’s an experience and a state of mind if you do it right. The Werbach’s home is quite simply the perfect reflection of the best bolinas has to offer. Can’t say enough for how lovely it was, and I really don’t ever use the word lovely. There was some love put in to this one. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely old house with well maintained main areas with newer kitchen & baths on a magical piece of property right in Bolinas. We so appreciated the large fridge, great stove, the kitchen well stocked for cooking baking, serving and eating. ( Note that as of New Years week 2023 there is no microwave ) The house is comfortable and well maintained - beds are good (although do note only one is a queen and it was the only one comfortable for our tallest family member ) - some furniture is a little less comfortable for those with bad backs or knees. The lines are great & the beds have warm bedding but note that there are no throw blankets so bring your own if you come in winter. The outdoor shower is great. We love the place and are immediately working on booking again. Note - I’m listing comms with property manager as good because we had no need - everything was clear to us based on written info in the app and we had no issues when we were there. Do note however that if you don’t know Bolinas may have a hard time finding the place if you arrive after dark,

Our family had a wonderful holiday in a very comfortable home, cooking and eating meals together, playing board games, hiking on trails and beachcombing. Amazingly, once I inquired about reserving the house, I learned that it was my great-grandparents and grandparent's home (up to 1971). To be in a house where three generations of ancestors lived, where my dad grew up, was priceless. I'll be forever grateful for the opportunity to connect in the present, but also to remember our family of the past.

We’re 10 SF women in a book club that’s lasted 30+ years. The property is very cool. Great location, with groceries and pizza available. We wished the double beds had been queens. At our ages, a double bed just sleeps one person, so some slept on couches and wished there had been warmer (fluffier) blankets available. The kitchen is very well stocked, and we were very pleased with the stove and appliances, as we definitely cook gourmet meals for 10. We were authorized a later checkout which was much appreciated. Thank you, Lyn. We’ll be happy to book the Bo House again.

This property suits us perfectly! It’s roomie, well appointed, extremely tasteful and appealing to all ages! We are multi generational and have plenty of room to spread out and lots of wonderful places to come together. We felt supported and though we did not need help during our stay we knew it was there! We hope to make this an annual family trip!

The house has a beautiful aesthetic! Expansive window panes in the living and dining rooms offer gorgeous views onto the hills, shrubs and trees...You can pick ripe plums right off the trees in the front yard and freshly baked plum pies are just waiting to happen in the beautiful and well equipped kitchen! The house is very roomy, well taken care of and beautifully furnished. We had 8 adults and two children and it was very roomy for us. The roomy dining room with its long table accommodated all ten of us very easily. There's a third bathroom in the laundry room area (including shower). Everything we needed was at our finger tips, including a 2 minute walk to the local grocery store and a couple of restaurants/cafe's . We had 3 cars which did make getting out of the driveway a bit of a challenge...but we managed. There is a commercial outfit right beyond the driveway; it may be a door manufacturing business, so occasionally we did hear a bit of construction noise but it was minor. We would definitely return to this house! The "Zen" feel is a ten out of ten!!!

My family had an incredible week at The Bo House. Steps from town but surrounded by nature.
Spent each morning watching a family of deer eating plums off the ground while drinking coffee on the porch…best part of every day.
It’s an incredible house, will rent again soon!
