This is an apartment/unit in a building with 4 rental options. The unit number was not listed in the checkin email/ details and cell service was nonexistent (Verizon is my carrier). We had to just guess which unit based on cars in the assigned parking spaces and then try door codes. Would recommend adding the unit number clearly to the check in details

The location is convenient to Southwest Harbor and Acadia, though you cannot easily walk to town. The house is on the main highway, so you are near but require a car. The unit is on the second floor, spacious and comfortable. The only downside is, again, the proximity to the highway. Open windows don't work due to the noise.
The owner is extremely accommodating.

Owner was great, location was great and the accommodations were great! Just a great place!

This was a very convenient location for accessing Acadia National Park and it was a very comfortable place to stay. There were plenty of cooking utensils in the kitchen. There was a minor amount of traffic noise. The line of site for leaving the property could be improved if the neighbor trimmed their tree.

Great property, wonderful hosts. Clean, cozy, and just a short distance from groceries, shops, lighthouses, & restaurants in Southwest Harbor. With easy access to Acadia and an easy drive to Bar Harbor, the peace and quiet found here is perfect...away from the chaos of Bar Harbor. Rent a bike in town and you have all you need.

Loved to location and convenience to the park.

This was a great location to get away from the crowds. Very pleasant stay.

Place was very spacious for two people. Clean and sufficiently appointed for us. Had to set up a fan to get the cool air from the A/C to the bedroom, but not a big deal for us. Don't understand why they don't put a sofa bed in the living room and allow more people to stay, such as a teenager who doesn't care where they sleep. Folks downstairs in unit 1 said our footsteps made a lot of noise, but we were just walking normally in socks. I think the engineered flooring needs some sound deadening below it.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. It was nicer and much larger than expected from the pictures. Everything was clean, comfortable bed, large living room with multiple sofas, well appointed large kitchen and dining area. It is less than a mile from Southwest Harbor and easy access to Acadia. I would definitely stay here for future visits to Acadia area.

Great location, clean and had everything we needed. Power outage happened, but the owner had a generator and didn't miss a beat! He kept us informed of progress of the work being done by the town until power was restored. Close to trails and some really great restaurants. Very pleased

Our research indicated that the property was close to a busy road and that was true. We kept the bedroom windows closed at night and didn't have a problem. The location was very good and it was easy to reach anywhere on Mt Desert Island. It would be nice to have A/C in the bedroom; the fan there was not very functional. The host was great and we enjoyed our stay. Much better than staying in Bar Harbor !

Comfy & cozy, spacious & clean. Had everything one could need, for a short or extended stay. Great location. Excellent value!

The property is as listed. Note that it is in a multi unit building. Be sure to be receive your unit number prior to check in. We were not given the unit number, but a phone call to Tim fixed that problem. The building is on Main Street but was not loud. Easy 15 minute drive to Acadia. If you want to catch the free shuttle to the park, the walk to the stop is over a mile but there is a municipal lot in downtown SW harbor in which to park to catch the shuttle. All and all, great place to stay.

On the quieter stay of the island so depends on what you are looking for. Was easy to get around the island to see different places and get to Acadia National Park. In our unit there were a couple of beach chairs and beach towels which were nice to have and we took them to Echo Lake Beach very close by and much less busy than Sand Lake. Asked a couple questions of the owner and he was very responsive. Place was very clean and well stocked. We would recommmend staying here without question!

The Vrbo was very clean, spacious, comfortable and in a quiet spot. The kitchen was well supplied with kitchen wares and found whatever was needed for cooking. Highly recommend Acadia national park and walking around Bar Harbor. Acadia has so much to do it's hard to do everything in one trip.

It is ideally located to Acadia (about 20 mins). It is located on the major road to Southwest Harbor [about 6 mins away] So some morning traffic noise but wasnt bad. Very spacious and comfortable.

We had a lovely stay in this spacious (at least for a New Yorker) and comfortable second floor unit. There was a full kitchen, dining room, and even separate living room with couches, in addition to the bedroom and bathroom. As vegans it was great to be able to use a well-appointed kitchen to prepare some simple meals after our long hikes. There were a lot of nice touches that we wouldn't see in corporate rentals, from the wide assortment of crockery to plenty of extra hangers in the closet. And of course the location is great: away from the hustle and bustle but no more than a 30 min drive to anywhere in the park. It's also one of the cleanest vacation rentals I've ever been in. Thanks to the Clements' and cheers!

Property was as described, very nice and spaciousness! Host was very responsive and delivered blender quickly.

We liked the cleanliness and spaciousness. And it was close enough to key access points of the park. Less appealing was the walk up the stairs to get to the unit. Still—overall a good place from which to visit beautifully Bar Harbor and Acadia.

This rental is one of four units in this house set back from the main road entering Southwest Harbor. It is convenient to the town as well as many sites in Acadia National Park. Everything worked and it was nicely furnished. Designated off street parking was a nice feature!

We loved our trip!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is outside of Bar Harbor but close to Acadia National Park and all of its beautiful trails. The kitchen and refrigerator were perfect to minimize eating out. Everything was in perfect working condition. We loved being able to relax on the couches after a long day of hiking. We would definitely stay here again. (Note that there is a flight of stairs to get up to the livable space)

Fantastic
This is an amazing little place to stay, very cute and much larger than expected. Easy to get to and very conveniently located. A little bit of a drive to Bar Harbor, but you get to avoid all of the traffic and parking issues that come with it. Very quaint place to stay, just be aware that there are steps to go up directly inside the door, so not very accessible; but we’ll definitely stay here on future trips. I highly recommend going to the Upper Deck for a lobster and Quietside Cafe for ice cream, both are just down the road from this place.

A week at SW harbor
We were meeting family in the area, and the location was perfect. This was a very nicely set up small apartment. There was no dishwasher, but with so many fine places to eat in the area in the area, who cares?? Will I be back??? high probability!!

Great place to stay on Mount Desert Island
A roomy comfortable place to experience Acadia. Most of our destinations in Acadia were a short 20-25 minute drive. We ate some meals in the unit. The kitchen was well stocked. The grocery store is a short two blocks away. We also went out for some meals, and were very happy with the restaurants within a mile or so of the unit. The communication with the owner was great. We would love to stay here again.

Great location, lots of space, very clean.
We were very comfortable in this rental. It was spacious and clean. We enjoyed easy access to Acadia Park, and were close to many wonderful trailheads. Southwest Harbor offered many good restaurants without the crowds of Bar Harbor, which is a 20 minute drive.

Perfect Location and Size
Very clean, plenty of space for my wife and I for our 4 night vacation to Acadia Ntl Park. Nice furniture, full kitchen, lots of natural light through many windows. About 20 minutes from Bar Harbor, and right on the north edge of Southwest Harbor. Location, price, and condition of the apartment were all excellent, and I would definitely stay here again!

Great property and perfect location
We had a great time in Acadia thanks to this property.. The location is perfect and the apartment was clean and much bigger than we expected. The bedroom is close to the road so you can hear some cars, but it was not an issue.
