Highly reccomend this property. Stayed here during my trip to Acadia National Park. Booked the first floor studio. Very clean, quiet, and had everything I could possibly need for the stove and grill. Incredible communication with the property owner. There's an intimate patio to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast on. Located about 20 minutes from the Park, very close to Beal's restaurant (also highly reccomend). Don't book a hotel, book this Vrbo!

Peaceful location close to Acadia and many hiking trails. Host was very responsive

While this is a studio apartment, it had everything we needed as a home base for our first visit to the Acadia area.
Eric was very kind and understanding when we called on arrival regarding an issue we had with accessing the apartment on arrival ( operator error).
The location was so beautiful, with Acadia NPS trails less than a mile away, a NPS lakefront beach also less than a mile away. We were quite active visiting the park everyday and this was such a convenient homebase, away from the crowds of Bar Harbor.
One thing to be aware of is that the apartments are not air homebase. I’m glad we did not notice that, because we otherwise would have passed on this gem. My husband does not do well with the heat, and although it was very hot and humid the first couple days, we were outside, and there’s excellent cross ventilation in the studio.
Highly recommend, and we hope to be back soon.

Close to Acadia, and has everything you need to feel at home!

We stayed in newly updated accessible room. Loved the bed & bathroom. Suppose to be ocean front but balcony view was 90% blocked by brush & trees that needed to be trimmed. Property under renovation but currently outdated. Would have been nice to have coffee maker & microwave in room. Currently not worth the $$$ paid for the night.

We loved the property inside and out. The host was so helpful. Great location to see all the beauty of acadia national forest.

We really enjoyed our visit to this property. The upstairs neighbors were polite, and the view of the trees was really lovely. Having a small kitchen and especially access to a grill was really nice for this visit.
One thing to note is that the listing did say when we booked there was air conditioning, but the owner confirmed it wasn't being installed until August. The owner was super responsive when I asked how to lower the temperature, and this may not matter most of the time in this part of Maine.

This studio was perfect for us. Spacious, great shower/bathroom, easy controls, the guidebook and all of Eric's communications prior to arriving made it seem like home quickly. In and out (after 4 days) seamlessly. Will definitely repeat when back in the area.

Apartment was wonderful for my family and dogs. Very private road to walk the dogs, and apartment was very clean and had all the items we needed for our stay. Would stay again Eric was very helpful before we were there and during our stay. Was a great location easy to access Bar Harbor and sounding area. Thank you

We enjoyed the cozy studio apartment which was perfect for two! It was fresh, clean, and well supplied with everything to make our stay comfortable. We loved the secluded location in the woods which was close to activities and not far from Acadia National Park. The host anticipated guest needs and wants, and stayed in touch to make sure everything was good. We highly recommend it!

Great location in regards to Acadia National Park. Home is located on a nice private road. Very quiet and peaceful. The host did a great job communicating on how to check in and was very responsive. There were, however, a few things that did disappoint us. Firstly, it was listed that this property was dog friendly. However, once we were reading the welcome book provided by the host, it stated that “dogs were not allowed on any furniture and if there was any excessive barking that you would be asked to leave without a refund.” This gave us some anxiety as dog owners with renters upstairs who also had a dog. We feel dogs will be dogs and they bark naturally. Secondly, the house was clean upon arrival, however the floor had a slippery, slimy feeling to it. We couldn’t walk around barefoot. Not sure what cleaning products are used. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the surrounding trails!

Our visit could not have been more perfect. The space was exactly as described - clean, thoughtfully set up with everything we could have possibly needed. The location was just the right combination of quiet and off the beaten path a bit but close enough to everything. Communication was fabulous - had all the information we needed in plenty of time.
Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about it! We will recommend to our friends and family too!

This was a great location for a visit to Acadia. The home is on a quiet, wooded street with trails nearby. We were able to view the sights and escape the crowds of Bar Harbor, which is a 25-minute ride. I recommend bringing your groceries or stopping on the way as the local store is limited and expensive. This is a first-floor apartment with a 2-bedroom unit above. If you are sensitive to noise and light this may not be the place for you. As a studio, there is light from the appliances and you may hear the upstairs guest. The host was responsive and worked with us during our stay.

My wife and I stayed in Eric's studio apartment in Southwest Harbor this past week, and overall we enjoyed our stay. The appliances were all new and the shower was excellent. Having a washer/dryer on premises was a lifesaver after hiking in the park. Eric was excellent at communicating with us throughout our stay.
Some feedback regarding the cleanliness of the unit:
- there were some pet hairs on the couch and bed when we checked in. I'm assuming these were from a prior renter's pet, since the property is pet friendly.
- the floor of the unit was dirtier than we expected, even upon first inspection. The house has a gravel driveway, and it was very easy to track in dirt on the hard floors. A waterhog (or similar) entry mat inside the unit itself would go a long ways towards managing the dirt.

The property is a new build in a beautiful wooded setting and very close to Acadia National Park trailheads on the "quiet side" of Mount Desert Island. Eric was very accommodating (especially with respect to our dog). He kept in touch with us and was very responsive to our requests. (He let us know the other renters on the 2nd floor also had a dog and when the renters checked out and the new renters checked in.)

This home was perfect for my husband and I to stay in. The studio had all the amenities we needed, including things to cook with and the ability to do laundry. The home was away from the busy part of the island, yet also close to a really beautiful hike.

Quiet area but still near the local market and the town of southwest harbor. Apartment was the perfect size for my boyfriend, my dog and I. Easy walk to the flying mountain hiking trail. Would love to come back!!

This was a great stay! The owners have thought of all the needs, from kitchen supplies to even an emergency kit in the bathroom. The location is great for park access and the owner was very responsive and informative of the area. We would definitely stay again!

The studio was such a nice place to stay. We loved the location. Acadia is all around with hikes within walking distance. Bar harbor is also only a short drive away. We visited from Chicago so we loved the quiet location and being surrounded by trees. If we visit Maine again we would definitely look to stay here again.

This was such a great stay! Everything was comfortable and clean. Studio was accurate to description, and Eric was a very responsive host! We will definitely be coming back!

The studio was very nice and well equipped.
Most problematic was to get to it the first time, since road does not exist on the maps.. Ask for GPS location, so you get to it correctly (there are written instructions that explain, but we all tend to write the address in navigation-app and expect to get there... THIS DOES NOT WORK).
Another issue are the chairs (stools), in bad shape, hopefully will be replace by owner.
Acadia trip was great, we were at 'end of season' (oct 12-14), thus many places are closed.. so we end up going back to the studio for our dinner (as the only restaurant in the area had a very long waiting line). With the food we had and the utensils etc in the place - we had a great evening... The trees already had great colors..

Eric’s place is such a gem! The location in Southwest Harbor is fantastic. There are less people yet we were still close to things to do and see in Acadia NP including trails less than half a mile from the place. The town is small yet the people are nice and food is wonderful. The unit itself is clean and cozy with just about everything we needed to feel at home during our stay. Eric was a great host- super responsive and helpful.

Property manager Eric was terrific to work with. Great with communication. We nearly had to cancel our trip and when I contacted him he offered several options to help us work out our stay. We contacted other reservations along our trip that did not offer any help at all. We will return to this cozy cottage in the woods.

This was a very nice place and we enjoyed our stay there! Convenient location. The host gave us names of restaurants to try and we did enjoy Beal’s lobster place. Ate there two nights!! But accommodations was great!!

We had a great time! Wishing it was a bit closer to Bar Harbor though. Super easy check in and out. Definitely would come back

We loved our stay in Southwest Harbor. We opted for a location a bit further from Bar Harbor for more quiet, but it was very easy to get pretty much anywhere on the island in just 15-20 mins from this location. There’s also a nice short hike just a quick walk from the house, perfect if you’re traveling with a dog.
Overall the studio is great — it is very clean (basically felt brand new!) and the kitchen is well stocked for any cooking needs. Also a bonus that there is shared laundry with the unit above.
Would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay! The location was perfect, quiet wooded area, but not too far from Bar Harbor. The studio was the perfect size for two of us. The outdoor space was nice with plenty of seating, bag toss and a grill.
