The property was clean and peaceful and the shower was hot. The location was only a short 5 minute walk from restaurants and local shops - but it’s a 10 minute tricycle journey to cloud 9 surf spot - you should pay no more than 40-50 pesos per person to get there. Neil was great and contactable via WhatsApp with any issues. The resident dog is such a sweetheart.
The wifi barely works which is a shame because the rest of the stay was perfect.

The location is good… very clean and quiet place at the center of Gen Luna. The owner himself was very accommodating and very helpful when had problem with the internet since we were working remotely he even came late at night just provide us different kind of modem for us to get a good connection. The care takers were very helpful too. We stayed at the hostel for 8 days.

We were accommodated earlier than the checkin time since we arrived very early. Very kind staff.
When we came nobody is in the reception area. Perhaps you could install a ring/bell so you would know there are guests waiting.

I like the vibes of the cottage....its native feel and the space is just enough. The location is also good its in the centre of GL.
The pressure on the shower is very low....hard to take shower. They said the pump was broken....should fix it for the next guests. Also the persons attending are not very knowledgeable on places to visit in Siargao. As a recommendation, they should train or put someone who can be helpful to give tips to guests on where to go in Siargao.

Staff went above and beyond to help us when here. They let us check in early and when we got a package delivered here (which was delayed to after we left) they really helped us out. Rooms are comfortable with nice porch with beanbag.

Huts away from the main roads
Very small bathroom and bed
Staff not always present at the reception

What you see is what you pay. I mean, austere room with bed confortable.
Price is ok. Not far.away port o restaurants( aprox 10.minutes walking) through streets with no light and no asphalted
Cleaning has to be improved. We have to ask for sheets because the only put on the pillow and we have to change because the was little
hairs.
Not stables plug
A/c is working but was noisy and the wall and bed trembled and it was difficult sleep.
Not toilet paper
We told the staff we want a van to the airport at 04.00, but se said at 04.30 because of the airport was near.
At this hour nobody came to us. Nobody answered WhatsApp. Nobody answered phone because was off. No body open the door we thought the boss was. A neighbor got.ip because of the noise we did and tried to help us.
We thought we were going to lose the flight.
The driver came at 05.00,.then she went to pick up a friend. We was going to the airport at 05.15. the doors opened at 05.55.
It's not serious to have an hotel and switch off the phone.

The location was really close to the center of the island.
When we arrived the room was full of ants, after we found also cockroaches..We booked the room for 5 nights and no one cleaned or change the towels. When the toilet paper was finished we were not even able to find the receptionist to get one new. Addinionally, the reception staff was not very helpful, it was the first time we were at Philippines and Siargao and they have no useful information. Even when we cambie back from a day out we were saying hello to the receptionist (one day that she was there and we did not get a reply back because she was watching the television. Honestly, there are a lot of hostels in Siargao and I do not think this one is valued for the money you pay. I would not repeat the experience.

we could check in earlier than announced
We booked a queen room 25 m2 but we were assigned a standard room 15 m2. The owner just said it is an error in the description and ignored us.

Room, wifi, kitchen, free washing machine
power off during my stay for almost 2 days. no water, no light...

Very nice place. The rooms are amazing. Beds are big and you have a lot of space.
Loved the kitchen, where you have a fridge so you can buy and cook your own food.
They have a washing machine that you can use FOR FREE! And a big line where you can hand the clothes after.
Lockers are ridiculously small. It even didn't fit my small 3L backpack
I've rented a scooter and they charged me extra for the 2nd helmet. I find this ridiculous.
