Views were great from balcony, dining table, and living room. Downstairs queen bed was very firm and downstairs shower needs to be caulked it leaks on the floor when you shower. Wifi is very weak not working most of the time. Checkout is early, 10am.
Location is great and beach was awesome! Would consider staying again but not a slam dunk.

We loved this house! It was slightly outdated with furniture but no issue to how we felt being there. Would have liked a dead bolt on the home since the lock box key code is available for everyone who has stayed there. The dead bolt would be an added layer of safety for those in the home.

We arrived at the rental 15 mins after check-in to find the cleaners there. My elderly mother tripped on the road when we parked on the curb instead of the driveway (resulting in a trip to urgent care). The house was shabby & scuffed w/ about three glasses, one a martini glass and one a sherry glass. The upstairs toilet flooded & my mother had to switch bedrooms, bandaged leg & all, so she could access a bathroom in the night. Lockbox impossible to use. Upsides were comfortable beds & super ocean views. This place needs an upgrade.

This view can't be beat. Stunning. And the updated kitchen is very nice. The primary bed was listed as queen but seemed small, like a full. If this unit had a king bed, we would definitely be repeat off season guests here! Seating in Living room could use updating. Internet was slow and dropping out for most of our visit, with no modem in sight to re-set. Nevertheless, the view trumps all and we had a very nice weekend. :)

This was a lovely place to stay during a stormy winter weekend. We loved that both the dining area (AKA the puzzle table) and the living room area have generous views of the ocean. We could keep an eye on the incoming weather and easily access the beach for quick walks. It's an easy walk to the main street area shops etc. I appreciate that it's pet friendly without smelling like it. Very clean. Lovely new kitchen with a couple of design quirks. It was very nice that basically every bedroom could control its own thermostat, and I liked being able to bring the car into the garage. The duplex neighbor had two dogs, which we heard when they barked at other passing dogs, but otherwise we did not hear them. Maintenance note: the downstairs shower door sealant has worn away which results in a lot of water on the floor (or soggy floor towels). Overall, a very nice stay. Would recommend and stay there again.

Every mattress in the house was originally of very poor quality, and after many uses they are now basically a pile of knotted rags and random metal. After attempting two nights in what became known as our “torture chambers,” we left early so we could get a good nights sleep in our own beds.
Further, the listing did not make clear that the location was a duplex, and we would be hearing neighbors on the other side of our wall. In spite of paying an exorbitant fee for cleaning, the floors were filthy, and we even found random pieces of cereal underneath the bottoms of the cabinets in the kitchen. Finally, the Internet connection varied from poor to non-existent.
I make these comments with regret, because I believe this property has the potential to be a valued get away for its guests. The location is lovely, the beach access is flawless, and the lovely tourist town of Manzanita is in walking distance. To earn the vast fees they earn for renting out this property, the owners should respect their guests more by providing them with comfortable sleeping accommodations, reliable wi-fi, and hire and make accountable a responsible cleaning crew.

Beautiful view! Awesome location! Wonderful and friendly town! Plenty of parking. Weak Wi-Fi and could use tv’s in every room. Had a great time!

Perfect vacation spot at the beach!

Overall this stay was great, our family had a blast on the beach. It was beautiful weather for our stay. The kitchen is pretty well stocked and the deck was wonderful. The beach access trail is right in front of the house which was convenient.
It is an older home, as are a lot of beach homes. I do wish it was cleaner feeling. The bedding is old, the couches are old. I noticed one of the pillow cases on the bed didn’t look washed, it had some toothpaste or some kind of food on it. There was also what looked like a big smashed bug left on the wall, not from us.
So I’m not sure if we would choose to stay here again, because of the cleanliness issues. I also had reached out to the property about check in weeks before our trip and never heard back.

Great location & easy check in. Both upstairs beach facing window wind outs broken, seal on glass behind wood stove broken and sweating, old furniture with thread bare pillows, worn out mattress upstairs, old bedding, musty downstairs from wet sheetrock in garage with mildew. Our downstairs guests left after two days to rent a room at the motel two doors down. Very nice clean, modern kitchen and appliances. The place was okay but does not command the price being charged. Not even close.

This house is on an amazing location and the functionality of it is great!
However, the house wasn't really clean which:
1. Is in contrast with the fee that was over 25% of the total cost and;
2. Made the wear and tear of the somewhat older furniture even more visible and feel-able.
Cleanliness is a big part of comfort, so that's why the title is "decent".

As others have said, there's a lot of deferred maintenance not captured in the pictures. The water damage in the lower level made my allergies flare and I would not recommend adults stay in the 3rd bedroom. There doesn't appear to be a lock between the en suite doors connecting to next door townhouse. Views were great, but we'll look for a different spot for our next visit to the coast.

Phenomenal location and views!!! The deck and wooden stove were a nice touch. The carpets, furniture, and kitchen need updated but overall it’s a great property. I would recommend this property 6 people or less.

Great location!!
This is a great house - right across the street from the beach and only short distance to downtown. We didn't have to use our car once we arrived. Views of the ocean from the living room, dining room and kitchen were outstanding. The only thing that could have made this better was a hot tub, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Breathtaking
There is absolutely nothing to say except wow! Everythung you will need is in the home! The view is spectacular! Baldies, whales, and waves sitting indoors on a rainy day was a bonus! Beds were super comfortable! There were some minor issues, broken blind and managment team sent someone next day!! Strongly recommend!

Perfect Location!
We had family visiting from out of state, and the proximity to the beach and the sweet town couldn't have been better.
The kitchen was appointed fairly well (we could have used some smaller plates, but no big deal), and bunk bed room was definitely made for kids...my husband and I took that bed to accommodate my 70 year old mother on one of the regular beds and my visiting family member on the other. The mattress was very thin, but kids probably wouldn't mind!
Overall, a lovely place to stay.

We would stay there again:)

Mid-winter break
Location is fantastic as it's across the road from the beach and there are large windows with views to the beach and ocean. Home is dated. Kitchen is adequately provisioned (knives could be better) and dining table is good for larger groups. Home has high ceilings and upstairs and we noted lots of cobwebs up high and on the track lights. Having the washer and dryer in the 3rd bedroom downstairs makes things a bit tight especially if there are 3 staying in that room. But overall we made it work and chose it for the location. We got lucky on the weather with only 1 day of rain and 1 morning with a frozen beach but the clear skies led to great stargazing at night.

Manzanita Beach View
The view of and access to the beach was fantastic. The deck was stellar. We enjoyed hiking at Oswald West State Park as well.

Perfect view & right on the beach
Affordable rental right on the beach with the most perfect view. Couldn't ask for more. Interior has not been updated in decades but everything worked. Recommend for anyone who just wants a place to stay with nothing luxurious.

Relax, refresh, reset
This property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the location overlooking the ocean was the cherry on top! We spent hours strolling the beach and taking the short walk to the shops in town. We loved watching the kite surfers and beach goers from the living room and deck. Also, biking from the house to Nehalem Bay State Park was a great ride and an unexpected highlight to the trip. This was the perfect place to relax, refresh, and reset!

Mother's Day on the Beach at Manzanita
I brought my brother, nephew and mother to this ideal beach house right on the beach front in Manzanita to celebrate our mother's 91st Mother's Day. We all agreed that this was the best-equipped rental we've ever stayed in, and the perfect location, the ease of check-in and check-out made this an ideal spot to honor our mother and enjoy time together.

Great location
Pros: location, view, bedroom set up, sunny decks
Cons: the house smelled like old shrimp. We think it was left in the freezer from previous guests. That smell is really hard to make go away but the housekeepers should have addressed it. We stay in vacation rentals a lot. This one needed some attention.
Issues: the downstairs heat in the bedrooms did not work but management got a portable heater to the house right away.
We got a really good deal on the house so we were happy with our stay (great location and great view). I probably would have been disappointed about the smell more if we were paying a higher rate.

Location, location, location!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The beds were very comfortable, with lots of extra blankets to cozy up with. The kitchen was clean and offered open space and lots of light. We loved that there are 3 separate outside areas and while they are modest in size, it added to our ability to get some solo reading time when needed. A pet sanctioned home, it was just perfect for us and our dog. Best of all: the unobstructed view of the ocean and the walk across the street to the beach! Thank you for sharing your home! We can't wait to go back.

Quiet and relaxing
We enjoyed our 3 night stay. It was nice to have quick beach access across the street from the rental. Lovely view of the ocean. Kitchen was equipped with what you would need for a full functioning kitchen (decided not to cook on this mini vacation). Plenty of games and books. We have rented vacation properties through Vrbo several times, however this was the first time that the check out process entailed extra duties. I had to start the washing machine with a load of towels that we used and strip all the beds (we used all 4 beds) of the sheets and place them by the washing machine as instructed on the check out list. Not the way I wanted to end my stay by spending the last hour starting laundry... but I did it anyway. We always leave everything clean and tidy no matter where we stay.

Amazing view and steps away from the water made this the perfect place with unpredictable NW weather. Good value and highly reccomended.

The location of and the interior layout were superior for enjoying the Oregon Coast. Manzanita is a charming town with just the right variety of services and stores. Housekeeping was poor. Everyone complained about the musty and questionable cleanliness of the bed comforters. During a mid-stay housecleaning visit, I left a hand written note for the housekeeper asking if the comforters were washable and let her know that I was willing to do this. She never answered my question. The shelves in the medicine cabinet were dirty upon arrival. It was obvious from patches of sand on the foyer floor, that the floor had not been mopped.

January Beach Trip
We wanted someplace on the beach and on the second story so we could see the ocean despite the weather. This place was great. Not fancy but clean and a great location

Location is extraordinary
Perfect summer getaway. Well stocked beach house on an expansive, beach with a fraction of the crowds we have seen along the coast. Saw whales, seals, and enjoyed watching surfers/wind surfers all day. Home furnishings are a bit rustic but beds were comfortable and it all just added up to a relaxing weekend. We did not need maintenance while in the condo but saw management and maintenance during our stay and they seemed to be close by and helpful. Walking distance to shops and restaurants which out 3 teens loved after a long time staying close to home during Covid. Locals and visitors were widely respecting mask requirements in town and maintaining respectful distance on the beach.

Great place with some issues
Beautiful view; close to delightful town center; manager quickly responded to heat issue. Heater didn't work in downstairs bedroom; stove vent didn't function causing smoke alarm to go off; firewood was green, so had to buy wood at grocery store, kitchen needs a knife sharpener.
