About this house rental
As featured on HGTV, as a headliner to Mexicolife, Villa Cuatro Monos is the perfect Sayulita Mexico vacation rental for a family or group of friends looking to enjoy this small Mexican village from an exclusive yet centrally located home. Villa Cuatro Monos highlights an incredible array of skill, workmanship, and materials showcased in the perfect vacation villa environment. This 5-bedroom, 4-bath home is perfect for large families or close friends.
The house is located less than twenty-five steps from the main Sayulita beach in front of the surfing break, Don Pedros, and the small characteristic fishing fleet of pangas (open-bowed boats). A lush tropically landscaped stone walkway leads from the parking space to the enclosed private courtyard and waterfall pool.
The architecturally designed estate layout includes three levels plus a separate guest house thus ensuring privacy for each of the five bedrooms. Of course, in-ground and potted tropical plants lend to a perfect jungle-ish environment.
A newly renovated roof deck provides expansive 360 degree, private views not to be missed!
The majority of bedrooms and all living/dining areas are treated to expansive views of the Pacific Ocean, beaches, Sayulita village, and surrounding jungle. Villa Cuatro Monos comes complete with a full-time staff available for cooking meals*, provide babysitting*, house cleaning and gardening. The house also comes equiped with beach supplies to make your trip easy and fun. Private boats, surf boards and SUPS are available to rent just a few feet away.

My siblings and I stayed here and the location is fantastic. It's right by the beach and close to all the action in Sayulita. Everything works well too. The only negative was that some of the bathrooms had really bad lighting and were missing light fixtures above the sinks which made it hard to see at night.

We spent 5 days in this amazing home and it was perfect for our family of 7. Everyone loved their private rooms and very comfortable beds. The pool and roof top “living room” were out gathering places to cool off and visit while on the property. We walked to town for shopping and dining and to different beach locations daily. And beach dining options were so fun and delicious too! We hope to enjoy the property again! The owners and property manager were so communicative from the very first time I contacted them regarding the property and through our entire stay. Thank you!

This property was perfect. It was an easy walk to the Amor hotel where the event was located. Steps to the beach. Steps to wonderful restaurants and shopping. We all really enjoyed the property, it was perfect for our family!

The property is just steps from the beach & steps from town. Great location!!!
We had a fantastic celebration with a group of girlfriends. Spectacular times were had on the rooftop with amazing views. Such a fun extended weekend. Highly recommend!

Best VRBO I’ve stayed at in Sayulita, the manager was extremely attentive and helpful, and the location and amenities were outstanding.

As with many other reviews, this house is amazing. Are there a lot of stairs, yes, but you get a roof top on the 4th floor with an amazing view. Location is great and walkable to the beach in literally 1 minute.
So, the reason for the 1 star review is that there is major construction going on next door. There was a tile saw or concrete mixer running from around 730/800 until 1500 on Monday to Saturday. There is a layer of concrete dust floating over to the kitchen and dining table. I did message the owner and they apologized, we both acknowledged this is out of their control. I did not ask for a refund or concession of any kind. I am leaving this review, only so others will understand that as of late February 2023 there is MAJOR noise and dust just meters away from where you will sleep and eat. It is not relaxing in any way.
I am sure you can message the owner and ask about the construction, but again, we all acknowledge that is out of their control. If you are reading this and have booked, I would cancel, it was that bad.
To the owners, sorry for a 1 star review on a great home but the construction ruined 6 of our 7 days stay at the home.

Great property! Close to everything. Although you might not want to leave. I wanted a welcome dinner at the Villa, after a long day of traveling…. We ate a fabulous catered dinner on the roof top Cabaña. It was customized and very affordable!
The cleaning staff was friendly and thoural. Everything and every corner cleaned. We saw it!
We day tripped with Chica loco. Excellent! We all loved it !

Amazing Villa in Paradise
We had such a great time at Olga's villa in Sayulita. The villa is spectacular with the most amazing views. The villa is centrally located - a 2 minute walk to the main square in town as well as the beach. On top of that, Olga is the most helpful host out there. She helped us plan a yoga session, dinner with a private chef, and a tequila tasting all on the villa's deck overlooking the ocean. I highly recommend staying here!

The house is more beautiful that the pictures can capture. Everyone in my party was beyond happy!
Olga was so great to work with prior to our trip. She then handed us off to Tony once we arrived and he was just at great. They helped coordinate rentals and activities- planned and last minute!

Wonderful place for the wedding party!
Thank you Olga for sharing your beautiful home! I stayed here with my 4 bridesmaids and their spouses/kids. It was absolutely perfect. We spent many mornings drinking coffee on the rooftop deck overlooking the ocean. The house was so well stocked and clean. Olga helped us arrange for a private chef to come make us a delicious breakfast one morning. The house was an easy walk to town and in a great location, not far from the beach. Most of the rooms were shielded from the noise of the town but the guests staying in the casita did mention being kept up by that a few times. Overall, the house was perfect for us and we would stay again in a heartbeat!

Worth your $$!
We had an amazing experience here! The location could not be more prime, just a few steps from downtown and from the beach. The locked entrance made us feel very secure. The rooftop area was the best to lounge and get the full Mexico feeling without all of the people. Any issues we had with the house were promptly handled by Tony, the property manager. The maid was great and kept the house looking so tidy. The house had enough supplies like towels, kitchen tools, etc. The beds were comfortable. Like the listing says, there are a lot of stairs which may be troublesome for kids or older adults but we had no problem with them. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone!

Ubicación de toda la vida
I do not have enough good things to say about this house. From beginning to end, my stay at Olga's house was phenomenal. Myself and 5 of my friends came down for my bachelorette party, and this house was the perfect landing pad for us. The house itself is luxurious with an open floor plan that allowed for lunches and dinners al fresco, and night caps on the roof overlooking Sayulita. Each of my guests had their own rooms with safes, fans, and air conditioning. Most rooms had a view of the ocean. The house also had a plentiful amount of full bathrooms fully stocked with shampoo and conditioner, soap, towels of all sizes, and a plentiful amount of back stock for when anything ran low. The location of the house is exactly where you want to be in Sayulita. Leaving the house, you are mere steps aways from all the water sports, sunbathing, eating, and shopping you could want. The town itself is very easy to navigate with the house being in a place that felt central to everything the town had to offer. Olga was incredibly helpful when helping us book reservations, and was prompt with any and all questions we had. Her concierge offerings were clutch when planning the trip making the overall trip go off without a hitch. Tony (the house manager) was available for any issues that may have arisen, but this house is so well taken care of and managed, we didn't have any. Nuri (the private chef should you choose to book one, oh, and you SO should choose to book one) made delicious food. Communicating with her was seamless, and she also gave us some great local spots to enjoy which was an added bonus. From top to bottom, our time in Sayulita was unforgettable, and a big reason for that was this house. It was the best home away from home in Sayulita we could have asked for. The worst part of the house? Leaving it. It's the kind of house you never want to leave.

Amazing views and location!
My husband and I reserved the villa for 10 days over Christmas and New Years with our 6 young adult children. Olga arranged for our transportation from and to the airport and they were there and waiting upon our arrival - very easy to find! Unfortunately there was a problem with van, but after a short period of time, we were loaded into another vehicle and on our way. We stopped at a grocery store to pick up some items to have for the next couple of days and arrived at the villa right at dusk.
A previous review mentioned the stairs, and it wasn’t a problem for our group - but there are ALOT of stairs. The house is situated on a hill and is multiple stories, all accessed by an exterior staircase. My husband and I stayed in one of the two 3rd floor bedrooms with a amazing view of the ocean. The other bedrooms are all nice, but were a little dark for our preference. One of the rooms is a stand alone casita with its own bathroom inside the casita, but it’s quite dark and off by itself, surrounded by foliage.
The overall presentation of the house was very clean and the housekeeper did a great job. However, this is a house, in Mexico, with the wildlife that comes with the geographical location. Just keep that in mind if you have never stayed outside of a resort.
The rooftop is AMAZING and we spent most of our time there. One thing however, there were 8 of us and there really is no where to gather and hang out comfortably all at the same time, unless you were at the kitchen table or dining table on the roof.
The pool was not heated, but was turned on when requested, but then we ran out of propane, so had no hot water for a couple days. That was fixed once I figured out the issue and brought it to the property managers attention.
We did pay peak time prices for our stay - and this was an extravagant, once in a lifetime trip and I’m not a high maintenance person, but I did feel the property lacked a few things for the price we paid for our stay. There were no basic pantry items like salt, pepper, spices, a reusable coffee filter or paper towels and we ran out of toilet paper toward the end of our stay. Also there is no satellite TV.
I would stay here again, if I was sharing the cost with other couples and it wasn’t peak time prices. The location is amazing and Olga the owner was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay.

Two Weeks in Paradise
One week with my family of 10, and the second with with my partner and three other couples. EVERYBODY loved the Villa. Great location, just steps from the beach and the center of town. The views from the open air, palapa covered top floor cannot be beat. We spent many hours there relaxing in the cool ocean breeze. Immaculately clean villa. Housekeeper was wonderful and everything from floor to ceiling was pristine when she left each morning. Olga, the owner, was the most friendly, helpful and caring host I have ever experienced in many decades of travel. It was like her mission was to make our stay perfect. And she accomplished that. We will be back..

Best Vrbo I’ve stayed at!
We rented this amazingly beautiful home for a girls trip to celebrate some of our birthdays and Olga went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated and set to have the most perfect trip! The house manager Tony is incredible and extremely responsive and was there for everything we needed. The pictures of the house don’t even do it justice this house has such a gorgeous view and is so well kept and is in the most perfect location - walking distance to everything and anything you need. Olga also gave us great recommendations for a chef for a rooftop dinner on the home and places to eat and go out, and it was a trip of our dreams! Beyond our expectations and we had the the BEST trip and experience we could ask for. Would not reccomend this home and Olga enough! :)

A gem in Sayulita
This multi-story beauty was an incredible joy in our 5 night stay in Sayulita. This was the first time I traveled to Sayulita during the summer/ rainy season which had me nervous about the rooms not being cold enough or the open air common areas getting wet from the storms but that wasn't the case at all!! Each room had it's own AC and it was amazing sitting on the roof and watching the lightning storms. The pool on the first floor was inviting to jump into after a sweaty trek into the city. I loved it here. Olga and Tony were so gracious and amazing. Tony even drove one of my friends to the airport because we had a mix up with our scheduled Taxi. Thank you, I will definitely be back.

The house was great and in the perfect location if you want to be within walking distance to everything. Olga and Tony were very responsive and helped with any questions or issues that came up. We loved Sayulita and would definitely visit again.

Awesome Villa, great location
We loved this home! The location is perfect and allows its guests easy access to the beach and town center. Tony the manager was simply fantastic! He was more than friendly and quite responsive. While the home is amazing the roof top palapa is the best space in the home. Tranquil in-door/out-door living at its best. Thank you Olga, we will be back.

GREAT LOCATION!
Perfect location for beach and downtown access! Lina was very helpful for our first visit to Sayulita with recommendations and arranging airport transfers. Villa is secure, but not necessarily private on all floors. The second and third floors look directly onto the neighbors balconies - a bit strange when you are sitting at the kitchen table and they wave at you. The music from the clubs downtown was bothersome and goes all night long. Each bedroom has a safe and a keypad lock on the room door, which is great. AC works very well in bedrooms (other spaces are open air), water pressure is not great in all showers. TV didn't work during our visit (an issue with the broken remote) and there is no satellite TV. The casita is dark and we opted for a room on the third floor as our "master bedroom". Only the casita has an en suite bathroom, all others are shared bathrooms. There are a LOT of stairs which was a challenge for my older parents. The villa is four floors, 2 bedrooms at pool level, up a flight of stairs to the kitchen area, another flight of stairs to the 2 other bedrooms, different stairs to the casita, and another flight of stairs to the rooftop deck. Parking in the driveway is available but the space is quite narrow and we had to unload luggage and groceries on the street. We ate out almost all nights and really enjoyed Rustica and Public House. We loved the proximity to the plaza area. We appreciated having a washer and dryer available. Golf carts are everywhere in town, but not needed for this location. Definitely stop to shop for groceries before arriving in Sayulita. There are very convenient small markets in town for one-off shopping. Enjoy!

Location, location, location!
We stayed for 6 nights at this beautiful property. We had 5 couples and everyone was very happy with our choice. The house is perfect for space and privacy. We loved the upper deck and the open kitchen. The house is very close to the beach and the down town action. We walked everywhere and felt very safe. There a so many great restaurants to choose from. We really enjoyed Don Pedro’s, La Rustica and Barracuda. I would highly recommend this property!

A breathtaking View
We had a fantastic and wonderful vacation. The Villa is in the perfect location and extremely close to everything that one needs on a vacation. We walked almost everywhere but to the airport and a few stores. Our most frequent stop or I should say, our daily hangout was the Agave Liquor store. We took the recommendations of Mitch and Esteban and spent our pesos at the restaurants and bought lots of tequilas!!!!
The Villa....the Villa....the Villa... well it speaks for itself. It was the perfect size for our family of ten. We enjoyed every floor, the accommodations and the view was breathtaking and leaves a lasting memory for each and everyone of us. Not sure about the ‘others’ but I enjoyed the local music that pipes it’s way to the villa at nights.
Sonia did a fantastic job at cooking our first dinner upon arrival and it was simply divine.

We came to stay with 4 other couples and we loved this place. We packed a lot of adventure into our trip so we weren’t at the house much, but we had a great time.

Great for couples!
We celebrated my husband's 40th birthday in Sayulita with a bunch of friends and family. After looking at lot of different homes, this one offered queen/king size beds in most of the rooms instead of bunk beds or twins. Which suited all the adults and couples that were staying in the house. Lots of stairs and levels which creates a good amount of privacy. The house was just off the main strip and the beach, really a great location! The pool is nice, just wish it was in the sun. The rooftop terrace is beautiful, spent lots of time up there! Wish that there was drinkable water on every level...like some kind of water jug station. The owner helped organize transportation to/from the airport, everything was on time and well organized.

Lovely home, great hosts, perfect location
I stayed here in January 2020 with a group of friends (8 total) and every single one of us enjoyed our stay. Most of us had been to Sayulita before so our expectations were pretty high, but Lina, Mitch, and Villa Cuatro Monos blew us away. Lina and Mitch are super-friendly and accommodating. They know a tremendous amount about Sayulita and made us feel so welcome. The house is beautiful and Sonia (the maid) keeps it looking good.
For those looking to stay close to the beach and the heart of town, this house is about as a good as it gets without being too close. You're steps from the beach and the central plaza, but not so close that you lack peace or privacy. On the weekend, I could hear the clubs as I went to sleep, but they didn't keep me up. And during the busy beach days, I could still relax on the gorgeous palapa and read/nap. The house is large and multi-leveled, with room for everyone to do their own thing or be all together, as desired, and the palapa is a great place to host dinner or drinks with a larger group.
Thanks, Lina, Mitch, and Sonia! We hope to stay here again on future visits to Sayulita!

A great vacation venue.
This is an unbelievable ome and exceeded our expectations. Location is the best for access to the beach and town. Owners and staff were great and always available to assist. Mitch took care of all our needs with transportation and any issues/questions with the home. Sonia kept the home clean and is a wonderful cook. This whole vacation was hard to top for a vacation experience. Communication with the owners before our arrival was also perfect. Would highly recommend this property and plan to return.

Sink Family Vacation 2019
The pictures on the website accurately depicted the property. 5 BR's and a separate Casita that was a large suite. Security was good. Physically less than a block to the beach. We spent a lot of time in the palapa and kitchen. We would return.

Amazing!!!
This property was excellent. The location was perfect. 5 minute stroll to the plaza and 2 min Walk to the beach. The house was exactly what the pictures showed if not better. Everything is really close. We walked everywhere and didn’t need to rent a golf cart. Lots of stairs but we did not find it to be a problem. Everything was really clean and comfortable. The house keeper Sonia was amazing. She cooked us dinner one night and it was phenomenal. Any issues we had were we taken care of immediately. No one got sick in our group we ate everywhere and drank bottled, filtered water and ice the house provided. We all loved everything about the house. There were 9 of us and there was more then plenty of space. I would definitely recommend this property.

Great house, great town but you will get very sick! Norovirus is going to make you sick.
The house is absolutely in the perfect location to the beach and town. Decor is stylish and the rooftop is to die for. Sonia the housekeeper is terrific and wonderful to talk with. This property is peefect if you are planning a visit to Sayulita.
I would definitely advise doing your research and thinking twice about visiting this town! Unfortunately, my entire family of 6 and our 16 month granddaughter got the “Norovirus”. This is extremely violent and lasts 1-3 days. It is airborne and is everywhere in the ocean, town, restaurants and house. No one really wants people to know and is not forthright about explaining the truth. We were all very sick and unfortunately lost a lot of our time trying to feel well. Sayulita has grown too much and isn’t in the position to handle the situation that is causing this virus. I would not recommend visiting Sayulita without exploring more about this! It’s too bad because it’s such a fun and beautiful part of Mexico.

Perfect Location
Awesome house! We had a group of 10 and had plenty of space for all. Great areas for gathering (pool area and palapa) as a group or spots you can find to be by yourself (if needed). Like others have said, I would caution with really little ones. Glass walls around the palapa, staircases, and low walls all around the property were always a worry.
The location could not be better. being only a short walk to the beach really came in handy for emergency diaper needs or nap time.
Don't forget to stop by the Friday weekly farmers market in town. Which just happened to be started by Lina (the house manager). Great place to get your produce.
5.0 / 5.0
Outstanding comfort, location, views, staff, and ambiance.
Location could not be better, within a quick walk of the beach and central Sayulita. The villa is luxurious but low key, a great gathering place for an adult group or family. The support staff is awesome, especially Sonia. All issues, and there were only a few, were speedily addressed by Mitch. One of the main providers of recreational activities (Mi Chapparita), is posted on the beach out front, so making arrangements for sport fishing and canopy zip line was super easy. Sayulita is crazy festive during the Christmas holidays, but the villa is a peaceful refuge.

Wonderful home. Great location and exceptional views.
Fabolous property, clean and very secure. Excellent location, close to town and the beach. Everything was within walking distance. We had trouble with the lighting in some rooms but overall the property is amazing. We will go back for sure.

Location, Location, Location
When you go to Sayulita this place is in the best location. Steps to the beach and a very short walk to the downtown shops and bars you can't get much better. We were there with several 5-9 year olds and having a short distance to everything was of utmost importance. Keeping the kids entertained was no problem.
The top floor is a great place to listen to music and barbecue. The property is right in the middle of the action but is still quiet and private. The house is very spacious and people are not crawling on top of each other. We had 12 people and still had plenty of space. There was a couple small issues with the shower in one room but it was resolved very promptly. There is a housekeeper that will cook meals and babysit. She prepares some tremendous chile rellenos!!!
We had never been to Sayulita before so we really did not know what to expect. We were surprised to see a lot of places with organic food and drink offerings. The weather was perfect for November, typically high 85, low 70. Overall a wonderful place.
