The buffet breakfast and dinner were amazing!
The larger swimming pool was too cold. It took some getting used to.

Room was perfect.
Breakfast could have been better.
Location was great.
I loved very much the Gregorian songs at the entrance hall!
Every thing was ok.

Great pool - nice people - good food.
I know the theme is ‘volcano’ but our balcony didn’t really have a view as there was plenty of volcanic matter around what would otherwise been a reasonable balcony and view. Less is more!

Location was excellent - close to marina, restaurants and bars. Room and hotel were clean. Breakfast staff, housekeeping staff and pool staff at adults only section were all very friendly and helpful. Spa treatment was lovely.
Firstly, this doesn't feel like a five star hotel. There seemed to be confusion with reception staff as to what was included in the Club Volcan adults only room package. Reception staff were also less than friendly during check-in and check-out (we dealt with the same staff member). Of the two treadmills in the gym - both were out of service. We had to request a conventional iron for the room, which we waited for over an hour to be delivered (there was a hand held steamer in the room but this was not sufficient to iron clothes). The provided iron had marks on the sole plate which badly stained and marked our clothes. Poor breakfast selection.

Superb pool areas and excellent location right next to Marina Rubicon. Hotel staff friendly and willing to help, comfy beds and cleanliness top notch.
Rooms starting to look dated, Fun Pub staff on the first night not "fun!"

Amazing hotel. Would love to return if we come back to Lanzarote. Super relaxing with lots of sunbathing and pool options. Felt very high end. Breakfast buffet was great. In the marina area of playa blanca which is more quiet than the more resorty main area. Which is about a 20 min walk away.

We really enjoyed our stay. This hotel is beautiful, very clean, staff is very friendly. Food was delicious, we had breakfasts and dinners at the hotel. Every night there is a show for those who love music. The hotel is close to the port, restaurants and it's about 15-20 min walk to the sandy beach. Excursions could be booked from the reception directly.

It was lovely. The room was nice in size; they were all super friendly.
The demographic was not my kind of people. Old white Europeans who stare at me and make me uncomfortable. Undeniably, I was not their target demographic (my early 20s and person of colour). The breakfast was very English, and the buffet wasn't well-seasoned.

the location is great, and the position of the buffet restaurant over the pool is nice compared to many large hotels that place them underground.
Our 4th stay and the hotel is now a faded beauty. The rooms are very dated and tired with old TV’s and hot water that takes a VERY long time to arrive, wasting a LOT of water, a precious resource on the island. The keycard access was faulty which resulted in 2 trips back to reception for reprogramming of the card - and other guests had to request this.
Losing 24 hours of the holiday to food poisoning from dinner on the 1st night put a dampener on our experience, repeated sickness, diarrhoea and sleeping all day with the feeling of having been stabbed in the stomach- not that the hotel were interested nor surprised when we mentioned it at check out - I suspect maybe a relatively frequent occurrence from their reaction - a manager sitting within a few metres of the reception desk and visible through an open door couldn’t be bothered to talk to us about the incident and offered a mere 6€ (10%) off our check-out bar bill as a gesture of good will - despite me having missed dinner one evening, which is charged at 25€ !!
The calibre of staff has diminished greatly since the pandemic and this is demonstrated clearly in the quality of the food. Whilst the breakfast selection remains good, inoperable equipment meant many items were stone cold and the buffet dinner was appalling. Desserts still frozen in the centre and the quality and selection, well below expectations of a 5* establishment.
We paid for access to the small spa, again very tired and dated with tepid water and underperforming steam room and sauna very disappointing. The massage was good but no pre-consultation regarding health or allergy issues and no preference of pressure etc were both a little surprising and concerning.
In the past year, vegetation has been removed along the boundary with the promenade through the marina.

Very spacious room and bathroom, good balcony views. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice. No additional charges for parking onsite or in garage.
Sound insulation from corridor and upstairs rooms during housekeeping activity does not reflect a luxury hotel. Was advised by reception on arrival that a gift would be sent to the hotel room (as I was a returning customer), however this did not arrive during my stay.

location
expensive, room allocated was up too many flights of stairs, entertainment at night very poor, drinks very expensive.

The resort architecture is magnificent and all pools are kept in excellent condition. Superb breakfast. Good room sizes. Convenient garage.
Complexity of this resort makes easy to get lost and it's difficult to find the right direction or get in & out quickly, there are some absurd rules about Service Room that aren't acceptable in a 5* hotel (getting an ice bucket into the room was really challenging). Road access isn't located in a prime position. Access for kids prams wasn't considered and there are no many ramps to move around, so we assume is not a family friendly hotel. Staff isn't particularly warm to guests, except for the reception manager (Juan) who was fantastic at arrival. In general, we think the hotel needs to pay more attention to service and perhaps provide a better guidance to clients to move around with additional signs, improving accessibility etc. We definitely expected more from the hotel's reputation and rates.

The Club was excellent, just as it was 4 years ago. Loved the quietness.
The complentary bar in the evening is always delightful.
Staff and facilities were excellent.
The quality of some of the cooked food was a little below standard, but this is a minor complaint.
Some of the other guests hogging multiple, unused sun beds was irritatingand frustrating . Beds are not for drying items of clothing, especially when there are guests seeking a lounger. Staff should've intervened.
