Good location and nice stuff
Besides the bathroom, the room I got was old. Some will find it charming but I didn’t appreciate the lighting, the decor and no power outlets near the bed.

Very comfortable room in an ideal location for a very reasonable price.
Breakfast was £15 but exceptional value for what we had. Cereal followed by cooked breakfast and unlimited tea / coffee
We stayed in toom 103 and we couldn't lock it from inside or out. Which was concerning

Hotel was in a great location & staff were great.
Room was awful..... tiny to the point where the bed must have been shoe-horned in. It was literally at the end of the room so you couldn't walk around it. Had no space at all. Room was red hot with no air-con so had to open window but then we had the noise from outside so couldn't win! No parking so have to use nearby overpriced car parks @ £18 / day & the hotel doesn't even validate or offer discount off the parking.

Location, quirky and clean
Couldn't open the window to let in fresh air, no air con, hot room, one bath towel for two occupants, really the size of the room should be a single bed as the had no access on one side and reduced access at the bottom, meaning it very difficult to move around the room with two people. Two coffee sachets for an overnight stay is a little tight and it wasn't very nice. The shower gel and hand cream wasn't a very nice smell, cheap smelling.

No parking so had to park in multistory car park for 2 nights what adds to cost

Liked the location, staff and the bed was very comfortable
The pillows were poor and a little uncomfortable - bathroom was a bit tired and not what expected for the price /
I tried to rebook the only rooms available were over 270.00 - totally NOT worth that amount.

Location
Damp smell in the corridor and in one of our rooms. Noisy dehumidifier. Other room was ok

Interior design was good. Nice bathroom, but very small shower cubicle. Staff at reception very helpful. Good location. Pub next door had very nice staff and good food.
The cosy doubles were disappointing. I was allocated room 6, but when I tried to open the blind, it was broken, so could get no natural day light from a small slit widow at head height which looked onto a flat roof. I asked to move rooms and was given room 26. This had 3 windows. two, you couldn’t open the blinds as the corridor looked straight into them across a narrow corridor. The other window did allow you to look out, but opening the Austrian blinds was a challenge. The room was small (cosy) and well appointed. it was noisy in the rain as the guttering didn’t work. You could also hear people in the next room talking and watching TV.If you are out all day and just want a bed to sleep- it may be fine. I was exploring Nottingham and so had some down time in the day and the room was dark and claustrophobic. I choose this hotel rather than a chain, to get a more interesting experience. The website showed rooms with lovely big windows, views and lovely design. I assume these were the more expensive rooms. I wouldn’t book a cosy double at this hotel again.

Excellent Location, fab facilities, Air Con is a massive bonus especially in this weather.
Breakfast isn’t included in the price.

The breakfast and options were really lovely. Fresh fruit salad and bakery items were truly fresh.
Cooked options were very good, and the chef did a lovely poached egg (which is rare to find!).
Coffee out of the machine hit the mark in the morning too!
Toast arriving with the breakfast would have made it perfect... getting your own toast in advance meant it went cold, getting it once the breakfast arrived meant the breakfast got cold !

The location was perfect, parking very close, everything I needed was a short walk away. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly and helpful.
The decor is dated now and could do with an update. The sash window in our bedroom was wedged open and didn’t shut. The plug got stuck in a sink full of water in the bathroom. I used a tea spoon to prize it out.

great building and location
the standard of renovation of the building is more that of a cheaper motel in terms of quality. the room was dark lacking natural light.

Welcoming staff and a lovely, well equipped, quiet room.
Had a couple of drinks in the Cock & Hoop, which was equally as pleasant, with the added bonus of it being happy hour!
24 hour reception, which was handy as we went to a gig that night and returned late.
Had some issues with the water while we were staying there, it didn't ruin our stay though and we reported at checkout and they were very apologetic.

Great position in city centre. Big and clean room. Very friendly staff helping with all I needed, from details about the invoice, to booking a taxi. I also reported that the radiator wasn't working properly and they fixed things quickly.
Nothing too bad. Mattress a bit soft for my liking and walking on the uneven floor felt a bit strange.
