Great breakfast (as good as Premier Inn in my view) and a cheap price for the stay. Just like Wetherspoons pubs.
Very small bath 4 to 5 ft long and over bath shower had no shower curtain so water went in floor.

Breakfast was okay,
room was very unfomfortable - broken fixtures in bathroom and rock hard bed
9.0
Location, breakfasts, very helpful and friendly staff, integral parking.
Room a little bit tired, required some improvements possibly restricted by it being a listed building. Otherwise basic and comfortable.

Rude argumentative staff. Embarrassed us in front of other guests following a misunderstanding (one room booked with breakfast and one without). Room stunk, bathroom door wouldn’t close, window wouldn’t open! Looked like a jail cell. Not central, rubbish location. Manager not interested in complaint. Avoid!!
Uninviting, smelly, shabby and dilapidated.

Nothing flashy but great location, clean and comfortable. We were a bit nervous after reading reviews but we were very pleasantly surprised. I think other reviews are forgetting this is a budget hotel and it’s absolutely fine.
Nothing really - it was perfectly fit for purpose.

Breakfast was fresh and tasty with a good selection in a relaxed dining room
There was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom sink

Beds were comfortable. Good location
No extractor fan in bathroom. Room was immensely hot with 1 fan that wouldn’t reach both beds

Good choice for breakfast, cleaning of room and staff very pleasant

Happy with everything staff were very friendly and helpful

Decor nice, family room spacious and modern with everything you need. Staff nice and helpful. Breakfast ok.
Parking, I understand there’s a lack of it but the car park is so tight and some of the spaces not accessible.
Worst nights sleep I think I’ve ever had, still aching now from the solid bed, plus on the ground floor I could hear every car/person that went past.

We did just have a standard room, but it was smaller than expected, very basic, chair in the bedroom was plastic so not comfortable

Lovely rooms and communal areas
Our toilet was blocked when we arrived which we had to sort ourselves, but it wasn’t a huge issue!

Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. Very close to the city, so excellent location for sightseeing.
Comfortable beds, acceptable facilities for the price paid.
Previous guests chips on the windowsill, 1st remote absolutely filthy and didn't work it was that sticky (replaced by reception). Needed to charge car, but non-electric car parked in electric car bay that apparently reception could not ask to swap places, so told me to block them in! Paid for 24 hours parking within 5 mins if arriving, only to find no spaces when we returned from going out! I understand they are first come first served, but surely they shouldn't be taking payment for more spaces than they have!
Pictures online are very misleading.

Nice and clean, room was very spacious with all the facilities u need
5.0
The main bedroom was kept generally clean throughout our stay, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Additionally, the hotel's fantastic location greatly enhanced the convenience and accessibility of nearby attractions.
We found the facilities provided by the hotel to be good enough, meeting our basic needs for a pleasant stay. However, during the check-in process, we were not informed about the location of the bar and the pricing details for breakfast. It would have been helpful to receive this information upfront to better plan our dining experiences during our stay.
Despite the room costing £240 for just one night, one of the main reasons we selected this hotel was the inclusion of car parking. However, upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that the hotel's parking lot was already full. This led us to spend an additional £24 for parking at a nearby NCP car park. Considering these inconveniences, we felt that the hotel did not offer good value for the money spent. In hindsight, we could have chosen alternative accommodations that included parking or made arrangements elsewhere, given our requirement to travel by car.
