Location off Burford High st is perfect, Food at dinner was very good.
Breakfast was unfortunately not up to the standard of dinner, the avocado was inedible.
4.3
full of character
member of staff who greeted us on arrival was very unwelcoming. a shame because the rest of the staff were very good
4.3
Almost everything (allowing for the fact that this property is hundreds of years old!)
The shower. TINY! I had to rinse, turn off the shower, step outside the cramped space, lather all over, then step back in to rinse off!
4.3
Charming place, charming village, and wonderful staff.
Shower was confusing, hard to regulate water temperature.

I had a really friendly reception from the staff, who were really helpful - I was able to check in even though I'd arrived a bit early, and the bulb was changed immediately in a lamp. The room was smaller than I expected, but very comfortable. It was a bit stuffy at night, but I couldn't open the window (it was stuck, but also on the ground floor). The bar has a lovely atmosphere and is really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with a good range of choices, including for vegetarians.
The room was a bit small for the price, but I guess you're paying for the great location as well as all the other facilities which were lovely.

When we arrived we were checked in by the lovely lady behind reception who then showed us to our room. The room was nice and bright and had so much character with the beams above. Very comfy bed and bedding - it was like sleeping on a cloud!! Modern bathroom equipped with a fab power shower and also shampoo, conditioner and shower gel which was a plus! Breakfast in the morning was very smooth and eggs were from a local farm which made it even more delicious! Just a short walk to the main high street. Highly recommend! ✨

lovely grounds and friendly staff.
old shower over a bath that took an eternity to get to the right temperature as it either scalded or was freezing and no pressure.
4.3
It was comfortable and very clean.
Very overpriced. The price paid did not reflect the experience of staying.
4.3
Warm and comfortable room. Lovely dining room and good breakfast.
Only one real ale on offer.

Room was amazing with exceptional high end extras. The whole ambience. Have stayed in 5 star accommodation nowhere near as nice as this
The only little niggle was having to walk through the bar/seating area with your luggage
4.3
lovely historic in with loads of ordinal detail
not keen on bedroom that is outside of the main inn
4.3
it’s a quaint and attractive building in a lovely town the open fires and cosy seating areas were lovely
the walk outside to the bedroom was odd and unexpected. the restaurant food was disappointing. the bathroom was dirty with lots of in gathered hair and the skirting boards were dirty. there was dust in all the surfaces I. the bedroom.
4.3
bar was full of charater with a log fire burning where we had lovely fresh sandwitches for lunch , other public rooms just as nice but in different styles
Bedroom was very pleasant and in keeping with the hotel ,but the shower in the very small bathroom was a bit of a joke! it was hardly big enough to turn round in and the shower head was fixed and hard to adjust which made it almost unuseable

A fabulous place to stay, loved every minute. Dinner was amazing, breakfasts fab, log fires beautiful, great position. Had a lovely quiet room.

We like everything about this house: breakfast and dinner is awesome and the bedrooms, front office, reading room etc. are cozy, like the interior and everything about this old house and staying here.
One thing that we don't like are too many doors going to the bedroom. Actually, no issue with us if we have to go through many doors from outside. The problem is when we are in the bedroom and many people go through the doors, it will affect the quietness that we have had during staying there.

The public areas were lovely as was the breakfast
Very small bathroom with pealing paint and room was dusty
4.3
The shower was a little challenging as the bit that holds the shower head was broken.
Would have liked a vegetarian option for breakfast. There was only an option for a full English or vegan.
4.3
Food very good and staff very nice but short on the ground
Bathroom a little small
4.3
The food was very good - as expdcted.
I understood the two rooms I booked would be near one another
4.3
The building, the ambience and the setting. Have visited on and off over at least 16 years.
Cooked breakfast was far too heavily salted.

Lovely comfortable cool little room in the ground floor, ideal escape from 40 degrees heat . Breakfast was healthy with many choices. My gluten and dairy free diet was thoughtfully catered for. Staff friendly and helpful despite working in a heatwave! Looking forward to staying again.
The Lamb is an old favourite and my local . It goes through phases but seems to have improved enormously in the last year or two. Food is good but could be a little more imaginative, especially the pudding choice.
4.3
ideally located in the lovely market town of Burford & to also explore The Cotswolds.
The Lamb was very comfortable and everything was of a high standard.
Easy to recommend.
