Large room. Large bed. Large bathroom with large shower. Space to put stuff out in bathroom. Tea making facilities in room. Really good breakfast and helpful staff. Great central location just minutes walking to Blenheim Palace main entrance.
Extreme slope of floor in room so sitting on sofa watching tv is not comfy as falling sideways! (Position tv opposite bed?)
Smaller doorway at entrance to room so easy for tall people to bang head on exiting the room.

Location, easy check in. Nice comfortable room, all clean. Friendly staff

Location was good. Room was clean. Staff friendly.
There is no place to hang or put things away. The price was high so I expected better.

Room was really well decorated and clean. location excellent .
Shower pressure was really poor.
Due to the location of our room above the kitchen the extraction fan was outside the window and so room smelled of frying.
Pillows far too hard for me personally as was the bed ( appreciate this is a personal preference)
Drinks quite expensive.

All staff were very helpful, I had a excellent cooked breakfast. Breakfast cost £12.50. I also dined in the evening at the inn and found the food to be good.
I found the room very comfortable.
The location for the Inn is very good, I had a little walk in woodstock during my stay and found it to be a very nice place.
There is a small Co-op supermarket opposite the Inn.
My only slight complaint is the carpark is very small and tight. But as Woodstock is an ancient place it is to be expected.

Great proximity for Blenheim Palace, room very spacious. Breakfast average unless you preferred the cooked option
Had a front bedroom and no double glazing, had to have the window open and it was so noisy with traffic but if I stayed there again I would ask for a room that wasn’t in the front of the building

Great location, if you are visiting Blenheim Palace.
Friendly welcoming staff.

The staff were very friendly and made us welcome. Everyone was really nice. The room was a good size and everything was very clean and neat. The bathroom was very smart but the shower was a bit of a disappointment.
The pub and restaurant closed at 9.30 in the evening and we were encouraged to go to our room at that time. Breakfast on the Saturday morning ended at 9.30 which seemed a little bit early. We were asked if we needed our room servicing and did we need any more tea bags, we didn't realise that mean that the room wasn't cleaned at all. It made us feel that everything was set up for the convenience of the staff not the guests.

Hair in food at dinner, complained on email and was told it was a fibre from the vegetable - it most definitely wasn't!!!
Exceptionally loud room right on the road with no sound proofing, unsuitable for sleeping. Had to check out at 2.30am and was met with bad attitude from owners. Avoid.

The Punchbowl was in a good location for our visit. It was very dog friendly and the staff made us feel very welcome.
Dog friendly, Clean and comfortable. The food was good too, although we didn’t have breakfast.

very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly
the price can be lower.

Car park very small so it pays to arrive early. Very efficient and quick check - in despite a very busy restaurant service.
Our room was very contemporary and cosy. We didn't have any meals there so can't comment on food or food service.
Staff went beyond standard service when they kindly despatched some costume jewellery I had inadvertently left after our departure.
Would have liked to have been able to open the sash window for a little fresh air.

overall lovely room and great location.
late check in and early check out. No staff on hand in the night to sort problems.

The property is in a great location and the rooms were really well finished with a modern look. Food at the restaurant was good too.
In my opinion the rates charged were way over the top. We booked a room for two adults and 2 children under 10 for one night stay. The charge was well over £450 and that didn’t include breakfast. Disappointed with that to be honest. The location might be a factor for the high rates but still it’s not zone 1 London.

Breakfast was excellent and plenty big enough
Room could have been cleaner, there were cobwebs on the lights.

The room was excellent, quiet, decorated to a very high standard. Very comfortable bed, everything we needed was in the room. Bonus having space in the car park for free. Based in town not far from Blenheim Palace although we did not visit this time. Stayed enroute to a driving experience next day in Bicester. The bar/restaurant was tastefully decorated, lovely menu and various choices of gins etc.
Unfortunately it seemed like the bars in the area all closed around 10-10.30pm which was a shame, as it was the start of the holiday season.

We have stayed at the Punchbowl on numerous occasions over the years and are very pleased that it is still keeping its high standards. It is perfect for Blenheim and Woodstock is a beautiful village with plenty of pubs and restaurants.

very nice looking pub and good spot in town that all i can about this place the rest was not good!!!!
never in all my time have I been spoken to how I was in the morning ,staff don't want to be there.
I also treid to call to check my booking a week before no one ever picked up and i called about 20 times
so I decided to send some emails nothing back again
finally after a long week off not knowing I had a room or not they picked up and she said i can't talk long and just about confirmed my room
what is a shame is that the hotel/pub is in a great spot in town
I think this a pub/hotel has got the wrong people working in it
I spent close to £500 a night for this and would have got better service from the holiday inn !!!!!!
