The rooms were modern and clean
The pools were good
Was chased down by a staff from the buffet because I wanted to take a plate of food up to my room for my sick Vegan friend. She literally grabbed the plate out of my hand. Told me that it was room service and I had to pay more for that. ITS AN ALL INCLUSIVE. A sick person shouldn’t have to pay more to get a plate of food.
The resort very much caters to the locals. Which is fine, except they get preferential treatment. I saw many locals leaving the buffet with food … not being chased, being given reservations first at the specialty restaurants… which brings me to the ridiculousness that is trying to get a reservation. Up by 7 to log on and grab any time at any one you can find. It’s like trying to get concert tickets!
Finally the biggest disappointment was the beach… no sandy entry - rocks everywhere it was painful if you tried to get in. Then the mass amounts of seaweed was gross. They did sort of try to remove it but it kept coming back. I’ve been to Mexico so many times and wouldn’t stay in Puerto Aventuras again.
Overall this is a three star hotel at best.

The buffet was great and fresh fruit at all times. Accesible to walk to the beach.
That some services we're only for the privileged. I did not know about that option when I Booked

It was small and felt safe. Despite language barrier everyone worked hard to help us out.
When we first walked into our room it felt a bit musty, but I think that is to be expected being so close to the beach. After turning on the fans and opening the sliding glass door it went away.

The staff was great.
I didn't like that you can only book the good restaurants early in the morning and only for the next couple of days, making it very difficult and inconvenient.
Also the limits to when to use the pools.

Didn't want to replace more food after they ran out..
Very slow
The service...they served my Grandkids that wore kid wrist bands Alcoholic beverages during dinner

The staff members were great, they’re all friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful and the wildlife was great.
The food is not great, there is very little variety, and they do very little to address food allergies and dietary restrictions.

Pools were the only thing worthy at this stay
The staff were not kind. To be all inclusive they were quite Stingy. The restaurants were fully booked every night of our stay. We received a courtesy booking and the restaurant staff made adult drinks for my teenagers. Once I was upset that he confused fruit punch with rum punch he laughed. The managers apology was not at all genuine. I've been to 6 all inclusive and have shared stories with my children just for them to go and get not even half the experience. Bare minimum of activities and was not much fun. I will not return nor recommend.

Our room attendant Pedro was Amazing and went above and beyond. The store clerks were amazing and helpful as well. The first three days of food was good; however it went downhill from there.
Spending my vacation with local rodents was not what I pictured as a relaxing time. They stole my chips while I was relaxing at the pool. :) Being booked on the wrong excursion was very disappointing; (however we made do because it was my son's 8th birthday).

Loved the Beloved. Found it very accommodating.
Cheap alcohol was used in the drinks. Made them taste very bad. Steam from shower went through vent and soaked the floor in the main room. Also only two bottles of water in room and was not replaced when used.

Check in was super easy. Front desk staff is very friendly. Roger the bell boy, made sure we were processed smoothly and quickly and he took our luggage to the room. The Entertainment staff was Amazing! *(Arturito, Jared, Emilio, Fernanda, Delmy), and all the other pool staff was so fun and friendly. We played lots of games with them, and our last night had a beach party that was a lot of fun. Breakfast Buffet was great. The specialty dinners were very good, and the BLoved lunch, and dinner options were fantastic! The privileged Pure Bar was really good, better quality drinks and not a long line ever. Cesar, and Vince did a great job of taking care of us and remembering what we liked to drink. You could walk anywhere in the resort in less than 2-3 minutes. Very easy to navigate. Having the two pool bars was a nice option as well. The crepe center was nice, and the sausage/hot dog cart near the pool was great to have so you could eat by the pool and not have to dry off or put on a shirt to go into eat. We met some great people there from England, Canada, Portugal, Poland, Brasil, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and USA. Overall was a really nice trip and look forward to going back there again.
There were no elevators on our side of the resort. It started to become a little hard on our knees since we are older, constantly going up and down stairs. Would be nice to have the option or a blend of both. The 24 hour room service was shut down two nights due to bad rain9Obviously they can't control that), however 1 night I was very disappointed in the only 3 options ( Hot dog, Ham Sandwich, and a salad) to choose from, and none were good, but I will not complain, and that certainly did not ruin the entire trip. All other food options were above expectations.

Loved the layout of the resort, how clean it was and friendly staff. Everyone was helpful and the resort was enjoyable and relaxing. I loved the many restaurants available for dining.
The reservations for dinner was the only negative as well as some restaurants being closed on different days.

The ambiance is very nice. Well-manicured grounds and groundskeepers keep the landscape up daily. The restaurants were all open in the evenings which was great and had enough variety of food options. We had favorites at each meal and really enjoyed the Mexican restaurant and Bloved for "privileged" guests. Cocktails were good - most complain they are watered down but we found things to drink and enjoy. During the day the pool food was pretty good! The crepes were great but had a bit of a line but the hot dogs were awesome! For breakfast we did one buffet one day - it was comparable to a hotel breakfast buffet in the States with a bit more expansion of fruits, cold cuts, and pastries. Staff was very good and accommodating. Drinks were good - and you kind of find your bartender over time. We loved hanging out at the Yucatan side of the pool which was quieter and had a swim-up bar. The other times we hung out at the lagoon/privilege bar. We like that the spa came with free hydrotherapy and a 25-minute massage with our package. As well as two bottles of champagne delivered with a fruit plate as part of the romance package. We did mimosas one morning with room service. The resort also has snorkel gear and kayaks to rent out to guests. That was a fun afternoon exploring the lagoon. We enjoyed having access to the lagoon and the beach which they really work on keeping clean with staff and the barriers for the seaweed. The town is gated and has a marina that is within walk distance from the resort. We walked in under ten minutes and felt safe and enjoyed the dolphin feeding and window shopping. Our room (privileged romance) was comparable to what we would have at a standard room in the States. It was comfortable and got dark and stayed cool in the evenings and was relatively quiet on the first floor. Nothing to write home about - the canopy bed was kinda cool. We just wanted a place to rest and recharge at the end of the day.
The downside was my husband was still a little hungry after one meal which we learned you couldn't order more than one entree but we did do room service later that evening which was totally fine. Despite only serving alcohol after 11 am we noticed more people overserved at this resort than at others we've been to. The wildlife is plenty - we were not a fan of the Agouti running around the resort. One almost tried to sneak off with our room service breakfast on the patio. The Privilege Romance room did have a bathtub thing (no jets so not a jacuzzi as we hoped) - we tried to use it even with maintenance coming to spray, but the ants were pretty bad and the drain was slow so was a little disappointing.

Good breakfast
Requested room near pools and restaurants due to wife handicapped in wheelchair. Front desk put us in a room farthest from pools and restaurants. When we asked for a closer room the front desk staff said NO.

We had a wonderful time! Great service and friendly employees, great restaurants and food and drinks available everywhere around the resort. The resort has a wonderful and amazing atmosphere. Nice snorkeling possibilities around the resort and easy to book some wonderful excursions.
Rooms were a bit small and we were located close to location with a lot of noise in the mornings. But don’t need that much space as we were not often in our room. Some people made a lot of noise during the night, when arriving to their rooms. Not much spaces left around the pool/on the beach if you arrive later in the morning

Cozy hotel. Pretty tasty food. Positive and friendly animators
The volleyball net is constantly removed for weddings and other events (need to change location for volleyball place or events place)
The map of the hotel shows 2 tennis courts with a fence, but in fact there is only one and no fence (tennis balls fly out very easily)

Patricia was very helpful through out stay.
When checking out we approached the desk and said good morning and the attendant didn't even respond. Than we were told that we had not paid and that they needed to see our receipts. Which I didn't have available. I logged in to my credit card account to show them the charge on my credit card which wasn't enough for them. We had a taxi waiting and were trying to get to the airport on time. The later called my guess and told her that everything was cleared and apologized to her for the inconvenience.

The little agouti animals walking around. The Staff was friendly.
We didn't like a lot , I have to say. First off, the Exclusive Trailers Club . It was a push to sell it to us. It is very pushy and the only way to have exclusive privileges at the resort. We looked it up, and it is a time share. But they tell you it isn't. There were areas of the grounds you weren't allowed to go. It separated people by money. We didn't like that. There were different color wrist bands, and that meant different discounts. The food , you couldn't make a reservation. We got up at 6 am and couldn't get into any of the specialty places. The food was not always available, and there were times when the restaurants shut down. The food was always lukewarm or cold. The room service was only 4 things on the menu. There was only water in your room fridge. No pop or beer. So if you want a snack you have to go out and buy it. The restaurants shut down from 10:30 pm to 7 am .The pool always had a greasy film on it. There were even sectioned off areas of the Beach for the privileged. And a separate pool.

The reserving of chairs in the morning is VERY disappointing. We stayed at another resort that did not allow this.
