Better than the Devoncove, which isn't saying much!

1. The breakfast room is very nice, as were the waiting staff. The buffet is small but good. 2. The bathroom was small but nicely appointed and with good water pressure.

1. The guy at reception only grudgingly let me check in and out. He gave the impression I was inconveniencing him a lot. 2. When the reception is shut, which is often, they leave open the fire exit. This was right by my room which meant people were traipsing past the door talking loudly late into the evening. 3. The bed was passable, but could not be described as comfortable.

Unhelpful staff member

Excellent location to attend events at the OVO hydro arena Really comfortable bed but pillows too hard and gave me a sore neck.

Unwelcoming staff member at reception desk. Checking us in seemed like it was too much hassle for him. I had not booked to have breakfast the next day but when I asked him if we could book it , he told me to come to reception before 7.30am the next morning to arrange. After being at a concert the night before, getting up and ready for breakfast at 7.30 am is not what you want to do!

Good place to stay if looking for a budget-friendly hotel in central Glasgow!

Clean, comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Smart HD TV in the bedroom which was great. Staff were friendly and lovely vegan kitchen and bar downstairs. Very central, quiet location nearby to lots of restaurants and pubs and easy access to transport links. Great location if you are going to the OVO Hydro as well. LED lighting mirror in bathroom was nice.

Room got a little cold, especially at night despite having the heater on full temperature. Not ideal for winter stays. Bathroom toiletries were very limited, the “liquid soap, shampoo and body wash” all in one product was disappointing and poor quality. No complimentary soaps or toiletries to use during the stay. Lift was not in the best condition to use, didn’t always work and didn’t feel the safest when using. Bar and kitchen in the hotel are only open on certain days and not open till late. Limited food and drink options on the menu.

Peu de place de parking avec l’hôtel. Et parkings aux alentours de l’hôtel très chers (0,80p par 15 minutes, jusqu’à 18h).

Sehr nettes, bemühtes Personal. Eher familiär als die übliche professionelle Atmosphäre von Großhotels.

Es war alles gut. Selbst wenn das Frühstück nach Maßstab eher dürftig war, hat es satt gemacht und hat vollkommen ausgereicht!

Great value for money and staff super helpful

Good location, around 30 mins walking from city center, but there’s loads of buses around so you can basically go anywhere. You can pay the buses using contactless payment which is great. Also there’s a great plant-based restaurant connected to the hotel. Staff super nice, friendly and helpful.

Slept well, good location for the University and Kelvingrove

The beds are very comfortable and gave a good nights sleep. The shower was great, proper shower, not a shower attachment to a bath, and not a dribble of water as is common in hotels. Nice and powerful, you can just a shower, a massage shower, or at maximum an exfoliation shower! :-)

Breakfast was OK, there certainly was enough, with buffet service. It could be improved though: proper sausages rather than Lorne sausage, and need better coffee. On the positive side the breakfast room was spacious and well decorated and the staff were very pleasant and helpful

Very good

Pleased with my stay. Booked a single room. However, im pretty certain the bed was a small double which was a plus. Close to many shops and restaurants. The bus stop being so close was a massive bonus. Clean room and tasty breakfast.

Very comfortable, very happy with the room(s) and an excellent location for us.

We had 2 stays, a standard room at the rear which was delightful, quiet and comfy. The second stay was in a four poster room, more space but we preferred the standard room.

The staff were efficient but cool, not offering anything extra. We stayed at other hotels in Scotland including Glasgow where the staff bent over backwards to be helpful.

Everything was fine during my stay, however at around 8.30am of the morning of checkout (check out was at 11am) a front desk staff member briefly knocked on my door and entered without permission. He apologised and swiftly left without explanation for his visit. I found this disconcerting as check out was not until 11am and not long before this I had been in the shower and getting changed. This is a massive invasion of privacy and makes me concerned there have been other times staff (non-cleaning) have let themselves into my room without me being there, especially since on the previous days I had left my room before 8.30am for work and stayed out all day. I had intended to stay at the hotel again during another trip to Scotland in February, however after this incident I don’t feel safe to do so. I emailed the hotel directly to address this invasion of privacy however they didn’t even care to acknowledge my email and I haven’t heard back from them since - it’s been 2 weeks since I checked out.
