Really nice breakfast and a lot of choice including vegetarian options. Comfortable bed. Very central with good phone reception and also wifi available. Very friendly and helpful staff. I didn't leave my luggage, but I believe you can. Beautiful building. Lift was out of order which was a shame but there was the offer to help carry my bags up to my room.
It would have been nice to be able to open my window as it was quite hot and the air conditioning was noisy. I didn't use the air conditioning because of this. There was some confusion as to whether the bottled water in the room was free, but the price cards are slowly being updated to show that it is.

Location
Noise from the street, stuffiness of the room, cold water in the shower, TV and kettle not working.
Also, the bathroom was not completely clean with hairs left over from a previous guest.

Super efficient friendly staff
Slightly tired room decor

Brilliant receptionist who was called Nicola or Nicole. I was having eye surgery the next day so she made sure I was on ground floor.
Overall a very quiet hotel with little noise.
Restaurant was closed on Mondays.

The bed was very comfortable and soft. The lap blanket and cushions in Scottish style were great.
We didn't have breakast at the hotel.
The room was clean and cosy. It had all the necessary things for a holidaymaker.
When we opened the right tap with cold water, the running water was very hot. You need to let it run for some time so that it becomes cold.

Location was good/across from the car park and away from downtown but very walkable
Breakfast: we paid 40$ sat for 20-30 mins and no one came to help us. We left and got a refund Looks like one waiter only

Great room, comfy bed and pillows.
Wee bit noisy with the generator outside

Wonderful interiors. Comfortable rooms with good tea and coffee making.

Beautiful hotel, good sized room with very large bed! Mattress a little soft and squishy for me, but slept well!
Clean, plenty of coffee /tea choices etc and lovely toiletries!
Exceptional breakfast...smashed avocado with poached eggs was sublime, tastiest I've ever had!!
Staff welcoming and helpful.

Breakfast and staff excellent.
Very poor access to hotel. Could not drop luggage off from rental car as road outside allows NO UNLOAD without a parking ticket. No staff helped us transfer luggage to hotel. Very frustrating after long journey and with elderly guests.

This is a nice hotel. The rooms are nice, the bathrooms are good, if a little dated. Showers over baths I'm not a fan of. My room this visit had a noisy radiator, I slept through it, others might not. The breakfast is exceptional, and I mean that, it's very very good. Overall its good for the money, I use it often.
My room this visit had a noisy radiator, I slept through it, others might not. The lift is a pain in the neck!

Location
Breakfast food (not staff)
Air conditioning useless.
35 mins to serve toast and croissant
45 mins to serve cooked breakfast and it wasn’t busy only 8 people in breakfast area

Room was very comfortable, spacious and full of light (when it wasn't overcast). Bathroom was very nice, bath and shower combo was excellent. The amenities were fantastic too, no complaints when you get free coffee bags for a little morning wakeup!

The room was decorated nicely and the building was beautiful. Good location.
Light switches including for the bathroom were near the door at the top of a tiny staircase in the room, which was inconvenient. The room smelled like chemical fumes when we arrived, which may have come from outside. There didn't appear to be services or food in the hotel.

The building, the size of the room, the temperature, the nespresso capsules.
we missed a piece of furniture or something to put our things in the bathroom.

Beautiful original features with the decor. Room is compact but has everything you need. Location excellent & parking right across the street. Staff very friendly & helpful.
Beds are very comfortable & pillows nice & squishy.
A lot of street noise, we stayed on the third floor but the downside to the fab location is the fact that the hotel is surrounded by bars. We stayed on a Saturday night.
Rooms comfortable but a little basic.
Overall I would stay again, as we did stay on the Coronation weekend so the city was busy!

Bed was comfy and the staff were lovely.
No fridge in the room to keep soft drinks cold or accessible ice machine.

The hotel is in a great location. The room was small but all we needed for a one night stay. The staff were helpful and breakfast was good too.
A guest had to close the door to the toilet in the restaurant but this should be monitored by a member of staff, no one wants to look at a toilet whilst eating. The wall lights in the room flickered when on and should be checked as this is a Health and Safety issue. (A family member is in the fire brigade and has attended electrical fires on many occasions where people have unfortunately lost their lives)

Comfy bed
Good location
Bar in hotel was closed.
Wheels on the bed caused it to move when you sat down .

The bed was particularly comfy, of course, but that is subjective. Breakfast was excellent no square sausage was the only surprise. Table service not buffet which was nice for a change.
Room although not large had everything we needed.
And of course the Half price parking at the Q park opposite was a bonus
There was nothing I didn't like, but as mentioned above Square sausage in the Scottish breakfast would have went down a treat

Rooms were nice and clean.
When I reported an issue with the room it was sorted in the same day.

Lovely staff. We stayed two nights and during the first night we discovered there was a leak in the roof - when we notified the reception they immediately moved us to a lovely suite which was an upgrade on the room we originally booked. They also helped us with the adapter. Really friendly.
The building itself and the little old-style lift were incredible.
Everything was perfect except for the view from the window. Unfortunately it was a patio inbetween buildings so a bit dark and nothing to look at except for a brick wall.
