The location. The scenery was amazing and the staff so lovely.
The garbage had not been emptied before our arrival. We had to request towels for 2. We couldn’t book certain activities because they catered to a large group making us feel less in spite of paying the same price per room.

I liked the peace and beauty, and the lovely staff.

Everything, possibly the most incredible place I have ever stayed at. It seems another worlds, in the midst of the jungle. Rooms, restaurants, surroundings, gardens, spa, yoga room, pool, everything out of this world.
Nothing but bear in mind that you are remotely located so you go there for total relaxation and disconnection. Going to Ubud city is possible and I did it often but it takes time.

The property is remote but beautiful. It feels like you are in a jungle valley. The little paths and streets on the property can get very quite steep. But they have drivers to get you around on the property. The restaurant is open daily and serves good food, but nothing extraordinary.
If you are interested in massages, please book your sessions before arrival. During our stay, we barely managed to get any treatment. We had to schedule our other activities around the last remaining time slot. The staff organized an excellent scooter for us, and the laundry service worked well. The massage we received was excellent. The meditation class was so-so. WiFi on the property is okay.
In general, the Villas are dated and require restoration. We received an upgrade to a Deluxe Spa Villa due to a large group that blocked all Superior Villas. Still, we didn't feel that the price would match the value. One wardrobe was damaged. The rooms smelt slightly moldy. Some corners and edges in the Villa were dusty and had dead insects. I understand it's in the jungle and presents challenges, but I have seen it better in other accommodations in Bali. What we didn't like at all was the shower area. We didn't dare to use it barefoot. This should get a proper cleaning treatment first.
We consciously decided that we won't let these shortcomings spoil our mood, but I guess it is better to know beforehand what to expect.

The place is magical. We booked 2 nights to relax and we did! Walking through the gardens, sunbathing by the pool, and having a massage was so wonderful and good for our souls. We had an amazing view from our cottage and enjoyed the very good food in the restaurant. All of the staff were extremely nice. The joga teacher did a challenging but manageable session for us. We would recommend staying 3 nights here to fully enjoy the place and make use of all it has to offer.
We got free upgrade, but the bathroom was a bit older in the cottage we got. Everything worked well, so it was still ok for us.

Location & breakfast were wonderful. Staff couldn't have been more helpful & polite.
The book in our room with information about the property did NOT include info regarding shuttle service. Because of this the first days we were exhausted climbing up the hills including 50 steps from our Chalet to the road. Other people that we met at breakfast told us about the shuttle service. I think when we arrived we should have been told about the various services offered. We mentioned this to the person at the front desk when we checked out & hope the info in the room was updated.

The grounds were beautiful. A lot of effort goes into their maintenance. Staff were helpful when we asked to move cabins due to the state of the first one we were given.
Almost everything needs an update. The cabins are old, dirty and mouldy in places. The gym facilities are falling apart and unusable. The pool was cloudy and there are numerous abandoned spa beds buried in nooks around the pool area that need to be condemned. The food in the restaurant - the only place in the area to eat due to its location - is marketed as ‘wellness based’. It needs more than a few juices on the menu for it to qualify for that. The shuttle into Ubud is free on the days that you stay at BG but not on the day you check in or out - which felt a little cheeky.

amazing, such sweet loving people

The place is amazing! So so beautiful it looks like paradise. It is very var from the Ubud center but they provide transportation if you need to. The rooms are so fancy and the bed is really comfortable. I loved doing the free activities during the day like the nature walk, yoga and making Canang.
The gym is not good, it is old and dirty and there is no ventilation or air conditioning. Also, they provide a schedule of activities when we arrive but it changes a lot and things get cancelled so you have to confirm the schedule with them all the time. They should give us the updated daily schedule every morning, this way it would be easier to know whats is actually happening.

Just amazing. Beautiful staff, great yoga teacher, good food.
Nothing against the property.
But it felt the staff was overworked. Hope they take care of their lovely, always smiling staff. Other guests felt the same.

It was a lovely location amazing staff. Perfect for solo travellers and for healing. Budda's yoga session was amazing. They were kind enough to upgrade me. I wish I could extend my stay for a longer. It was that lovely ❤️

I had a great time at Bagus Jati as this was my 2nd time in Ubud. I would not recommend it to someone that wants to go everyday to the city as it is a 45min-1hour drive.
The yoga classes were very good, much better than I expected.
What I think they could improve is the dining - quite expensive and nothing special on the menu.
Rooms were spacious and clean, staff was very friendly.

The staff was amazing! Very friendly and genuine. Food at the restaurant was great. Loved the yoga classes and the grounds/pool are beautiful. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The spa area was also great.

Healthy food in a beautiful, quiet setting. Had my meditation awakening there!
The morning yoga is a bit crowded and repetitive, I think more yoga options could be added during the day. Targeted food diets could also be offered. Chalets are not as good as the regular rooms.
