The beds were comfortable
Room was shabby & tired looking, in need of redecoration with chipped paintwork and furniture. The dark decor and lack of any decent lighting adds to the general air of neglect. This continues in the shower room with black floor and dark grey walls with one inadequate light. The bottom of the door and frame rotting away due to water contact from the shower.
The buffet breakfast was best described as warm certainly not hot.
Why do hotel guests have to pay for parking when it is free to casual users of the pool & gym etc ?

I liked hotel and staff were brilliant breakfast very good it did not put me off going again best of welcome and they sort complaints out straight away
Staff were great but unfortunately they had a football presentation there and was loads of trouble but fair play hotel sorted it all out

The staff were exceptionally friendly, both at reception, the lady who made up the sofa bed, and some of the bar staff were friendlier than others. The breakfast was nearly depleted when i went to it and a tad disapointing if honest.
The TV did not work and just kept scrolling the home page.
The cold tap on the sink in the bathroom was impossible to use it was solid stuck.

Cleanliness and very friendly and helpful staff
Restaurant service was very slow otherwise a very good stay

Location was good as we were going to a concert at Millennium stadium and we didn't want to be in the centre. Breakfast was acceptable for the buffet style it was.
The price. Cheaper than centre hotels but over £240 for 1 night without breakfast.

The location is good just off the motorway but not too far from the city centre.
The price point suggested higher quality than provided, the room was dated and in need of work. Little things missing such as no glasses or beakers provided and the shower was useless.
4.5 / 5.0
The room and facilities were excellent although I thought the £5.00 payment for use of the pool/gym was really not satisfactory, I always thought if you stayed at a hotel you had free access to the facilities.
The hotel was very busy at time of visit and the design of the buffet breakfast area was somewhat chaotic, queuing for coffee created a bottle neck so anyone who wanted breakfast couldn’t get around to access the plates and food.
You have to ask for a fried or poached egg when going for a cooked breakfast or just have the scrambled egg which is on the counter

No breakfast .. location fine
Broken sink in room , no towels , cold water tsp not working… what a shoddy start … noisy bar ..screaming children and adults .. not a cheap hotel … not our type of hotel I’m
Afraid .. better for young families… staff friendly snd quite pleasant but housekeeping need to be more diligent like leaving towels and making sure taps work!

Location and leisure facilities
Where we had our dinner on the Saturday evening.
Sports bar grill - TV screens around the bar. Limited selection on menu - very disappointing.
Breakfast also disappointing. Requested 2 poached eggs on the Monday morning, never had them.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Huge car park. Liked the cinema seating in the bar area in front of the huge TV screen. Loved the wallpaper in the lift re etiquette! Husband enjoyed the breakfast. Unfortunately I woke up with migraine so didn't make breakfast. Loved the chocolate Welsh spoons.
Would have preferred a shower instead of shower over the bath. No bath mat for use in bath and bath was slippy. Bathroom could do with updating. Didn't like the dark walls in the corridor.

The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Just when we were getting into the pool a staff came and told us the pool for the kids closes at 18:00 on Sundays but on the timesheet in the room it says 19:00. So disappointed! The other thing is the menu... Not much choices.

the staff was lovely
the service for my room was so poor, they don’t give us paper for the toilet, no napkins, no coffee, and they didn’t do the bed. bad experience and the pool was with to much cloro and now I’m sick

location was good as was the hotel. Food in the grill was great and breakfast was delicious.
The price was extortionate. we paid it,as we already had our tickets for the game at the Principality stadium. To top it all we had to pay £15 for early check in. So feel our stay was overpriced.

location was good
Rom needed updating. Bathroom had cracked sink and could do with an upgrade. Could do with offering a couple of drinking water glasses.

Rooms ok.
Very upset and extremely disappointed. We booked and paid for 4 double rooms for a family to stay before a funeral. we arrived at the hotel from different parts of the country, and as each member registered, there was a reference from the staff on duty as to how many more from the same family to come.
when the last family member arrived, he was told he hadn’t got a room, even though it had been prepaid. He could have a free drink and then was taxied to another hotel in a different part of Cardiff.
We particularly wanted a family get-together and a discussion at breakfast.
A hotel not to be recommended for bookings.
