Breakfast was great and varied.
Very close location to Central Cardiff, only 10 minute walk.
The surrounding area is a little rundown.
4.0
It met our expectations as far as comfort, cleanliness and peacefullness. It was good to have secure parking for£10
The snack machine was poorly stocked

The Hotel is in a Good Location, with all sites only a 20 minute walk. The facilities were Clean and staff very helpful and welcoming. A reasonable breakfast was provided, although the seating area rather small for the number of rooms and not conducive to lingering or relaxing.
having to Pay £10.00 per night to park my car when I paid £520.00 for 2 rooms for a 3 night stay was rather frustrating, especially as there is an on site Car park available?

staff were excellent and professional, there was a problem with the coffee machine and the lift button to ground floor didnt work

Close to stadium
The air conditioning was broken and it was 28 c plus outside - the actual room we were in was extremely hot . We were not told when we checked in that it was broken - we went to reception later on and were provided a small fan which did little to help the problem. We hardly got any sleep as the heat was unbearable.

Beautiful location, very clean

Manager was generous to offer us a discount on the nights stay due to the Air conditioning issue. Complimentary breakfast which was inclusive in the tariff, was excellent. Staff were very friendly and quick to follow up on any requests. Lovely people, a hotel with a great team.
Although advertised as Air conditioned it had no Air conditioning on" Cooling" setting.
The onlly setting available was"Heat" setting. In other words a system that didnt cool to required lower temps. It was the start of a heat wave with temps getting up to high 20's. So quite uncomfortable. The delivery of a portable fan on request to the room helped, but it didn't deliver the same comfort level as proper cooling air conditioning would have.

Good size room, comfortable bed, good shower, excellent breakfast.
Lack of air conditioning, communication with reception staff.

Great location, room size, cleanliness of the room. Staff were fantastic
Slow lift

Nice simple rooms and decent breakfast.
The car parking is very expensive and the hotel does not inform you ahead of entering the car park.
Breakfast could have some more variety.

Quarto com chá e café.
Quarto pequeno para 3 pessoas, chuveiro com pouca força de água.
Pequeno almoço muito fraquinho, pouca variedade e pouca quantidade para tantas pessoas. Cama pequena para 2 pessoas.

The room was very pleasant and the surrounding area was great with a shop nearby and the city within 20 minute walk. The room was very nice with lovely lighting and comfortable bed. The staff were all very friendly and polite as well as the surrounding area was very nice and suitable for a nice walk around the area. The hotel seemed very clean and the breakfast was quite nice but may want to go down there around 7 - 8ish as they seemed quiet with a variety food available.
Even though the staff were very polite and friendly, they seem unknowledgeable, i asked for 3 towels and was given 3 hand towels as well as my boyfriend and I asked for 2 single vodka redbulls and the individual behind the counter was not sure which can was redbull and my boyfriend even told him how many shots to put in a single and even then he ended up putting in a shot and a half in each? Other than that it was very pleasant and we would visit again.

I booked for 4 occupants. The soft bed was not ready. I had to call the reception to set it up. I found the sofa bed was dusty, but it was set up alright after my request.
The hotel was not aware of the fact that I booking for 4 and forget set the room before I could occupy.

Location to Mermaide Quay was excellent, nice and quite, and draught beer available at the bar.
I didn't like paying for the parking and was disappointed there was no refrigerator.
4.0
Comfortable beds, clean rooms and a decent breakfast included in the price.
Dove toiletries in refill dispensers in the bathroom and breakfast condiments in a large dispensing container meaning single use plastic was negligible. Very welcome!
Nachos did not have any guacamole, as was listed.

Perfectly located for what what we needed.
All good, my only problem was the wait in the morning for a coffee, only one machine that isn’t very quick and a line of people waiting to use it so my breakfast was cold by the time I got there.
4.0
Reasonable walking distance to/from Cardiff city centre.
Comfortable enough bed.
Carpet was marked/grubby, as was the upholstered chair (badly stained)
The 'wet room' shower completely floods the bathroom floor, with no mop etc, rendering the sink/toilet after showering practically unusable.
No available seats/tables at breakfast, with a number of families/guests waiting to be seated before me. Gave up after about 10 minutes and just had a coffee in the end. I realise that busy periods can occur, but this was unacceptable.
No staff at the reception desk to speak to on check out, so had to just leave key without having the opportunity of bringing up the above.
Paying an extra £10 for parking - in an actual hotel carpark, especially bearing in mind all of the above, was a bit of a p*** take to be honest.

View and area was lovely, close to train station and easy to get to centre. Lovely and quiet with everything you need. Shop just around the corner to get anything you want. Would definitely stay here again.
Breakfast wasn't very nice, scrambled egg very grainy, just generally didn't taste nice. Room had a slight sewage smell but probably the location.

Breakfast Exceeded expectations, location was great. Being on the river was beautiful lovely look out at night. room was clean and tidy and staff were very friendly. They let us leave our car parked early so we could visit Cardiff castle and sightsee, without the hassle of finding parking.

Nice and clean.
Lovely helpful staff
Toilet was very low
Shower needed a bit more power in it
4.0
The staff, bar area, breakfast and cleanliness.
The bed not as large and pillows not as comfy as other budget hotels but still good value for money.

Excellent staff, room and breakfast, the hotel was spotless, easy to find and the parking is a massive bonus... just a shame it's at an extra cost!
Sadly the hotel isn't actually in the bay itself (my mistake for not checking) it was downpour after downpour so I didn't want to walk to the bay... however, the gentleman at the front desk had a taxi arrive for me within minutes which was very kind! It was under £10 each way.

I liked the location plus there was a shop around the corner and you can walk to the city centre
Having to pay for parking, being a hotel resident as I parked my car away from the property and having to wait for the coffee machine, could do with two at busy times

In Cardiff to see show in the bay hotel nearby and done the job for us bfast was stunning hotel quiet and clean
Nothing couldn't fault it and will stay again even just for a night bout in the city centre

The hotel is very clean and well furnished. The room was comfortable and well worth the money; however, being in a cold snap it did take a while to figure out how to get the room warmed up - some instructions might have helped. The evening menu was excellent and very tasty. Breakfast was well laid out with every option available and without doubt was one of the tastiest full English breakfasts I've had...anywhere. A small glitch occurred on checkout when the receptionist said I couldn't have an invoice as I'd booked via Booking.Com (I require an invoice for my expenses). However, I emailed the hotel when I got home and an invoice was emailed to me directly...excellent service.
No major negative comments at all.

The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.
For me personally because i have walking difficulties the location was to far away from the city centre, and all though we had a disabled room with a walk in shower witch for me was excellent we were on the top floor and the lift wasn't working witch ment walking up and down 3 flights of stairs.

We've stayed here a number of times now, and as always the staff were friendly and professional. The lady in the breakfast area was particularly helpful although rushed off her feet. Our room was warm and the bed comfortable. The breakfast buffet is good, although the toasters never seem to be on quite the right setting.
I didn't like being in a room with an adjoining door, although I know this is sometimes unavoidable. I would prefer it if it had a proper bolt we could pull across.

All good apart from 1 thing.
All mainly good (apart from the bar being shut in the afternoon). The issue was there was a strange noise like a large extractor fan (as in a commercial kitchen one) running, stopping for a few seconds then starting again. I assume something was malfunctioning. This continued all night. Also talking to another family of guests in the morning they also were kept awake by it. I'm hoping it's been fixed by now...

Lovely room, great view over the water.
Breakfast was basic. Tomatoes, mushrooms, and fried eggs would have made it better.

Breakfast was fairly good, and locational was good.
Lounge was basic but adequate.
And room was generally clean
Toilet could have done with disinfecting…toilet bowl was stained

Nice modern rooms
Bit of distance from the centre

For a family if 4 the room was small and only enough towels given for two people
4.0
The breakfast was very good, tasty and hot, especially liked the scrambled eggs. The shower was much better than many places we have stayed. The location would have been better experienced at a different time of year or much less rain
Staff around more often, we had to wait and then chase for forks at breakfast plus no at the reception desk to get a reminder as to where and how to get somewhere nice to eat dinner at

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is good for both the bay and the city centre. There is a handy little convenience shop a couple of minutes walk away. The breakfast was very nice. The shower was easy to use and the water hot.
I found the bed rather too firm, however my husband liked it. The pillows were too hard for me. Also the duvet only just reached each side, so it wasn't big enough to cover us both properly. Fortunately it wasn't too cold.

Excellent breakfast
A little way to walk to the Bay area

Close to Cardiff Bay for a gig we were attending.
Very small room with dirty windows. Had to pay £10 to park in the car park which wasn’t explained until we arrived. Breakfast area overrun by staff eating their own breakfasts! Had to wait in queue behind them to get coffee. No apologies.
