Good breakfast
Reasonably priced
Could do with a little maintenance here and there

Stayed before, great location…
Very very tired… requires a lot of painting and maintenance… really desperately requires new carpet through out… a complete disgrace and just total greed to charge for parking for clients…

Listed as a luxury hotel but dog friendly rooms less than luxury. Very small and unclean

Hotel room and breakfast
Didn’t advise us that there was a wedding on. Woken up early hours with doors slamming and music playing. Car park was horrendous. Hotel was on top of a steep hill. Breakfast tables were sticky, unclean. Bar wasn’t staffed.

We loved the location and lovely views of Lake Windermere from our room. Our room was spacious, clean and well maintained, with a nice modern bathroom. Every single member of staff we interacted with was so friendly and welcoming, with a special mention to Jake,Jonathan and Persia. The morning Breakfast buffet is great with lots of choice for everyone, a great way to start your day! The restaurant is busy each evening,so I'd recommend you book beforehand. Overall The Ro is a lovely place to stay, and we'll definitely return.
The lack of parking places for a hotel of this size plus the daily extra charge of £7.50,I'd prefer the cost to be included with the price

Good location - only 5 minutes walk to the centre.
The room didn't have air conditioning but we did have a fan and that was adequate.

Location was fantastic, with a very nice view. The decor itself self was fantastic as well the room was comfortable and modern and one thing I always consider important- very good shower.
The television in the room didn’t work. On the evening none of the channels would work - it said I could cast from my phone. That wouldn’t work either. The breakfast was poor - failure to restock items at a peak time for breakfast, the coffee machine was not working, and the pastries may have well been just that - the fillings were a little more than a smear.
The staff were none existent and out of the 3 members of staff I actually saw one was relatively pleasant. I was abruptly questioned by a staff member late on in the evening if I was actually a guest here and was unable to dine in the restaurant on the evening. Very disappointed you couldn’t find space for a solo diner in a restaurant that was far from full.

Breakfast was absolutely great, room was excellent and clean.
The lift from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor, the door was a bit rickety. Although the hotel was excellent the steep hill up to it was very steep, not for the unfit or very elderly.

Loved the view
Staff are very friendly and exceptionally helpful
Room was spacious
Comfy big bed
Good view of the lake from our room. 110
Good deal in the resturant
Bar was cosy
Place is a bit tired but they seem to be doing renovations.
Lots of noise through the walls from above and room next door.
Our shower was mouldy and I knocked the drain cover off with my toe to try and get the wafer to drain before it flooded over the shower edge..it came out and was full of urgh!
Dropped something that went under the bed..it was also filthy under there.
Need to get on top of their cleaning staff..obviouy cutting corners.

location was good.
Property requires updating, eg carpets etc. seems a bit run down and probably not worth the money. Requested to have the room decorated for a small fee of £10 for a retirement celebration but got birthday decorations instead and they still tried to charge for this on checkout despite the error. Would not consider this a four star Hotel, due to customer service, interior appearance and maintenance.

Our room was beautiful a lot bigger than expected the bed was so comfortable and the views of the lake were outstanding the seating at the front of the hotel was great with lovely views .. The staff were friendly nothing was too much trouble the breakfast was gorgeous.. Highly recommend this hotel we will definitely stay again.
There wasn't anything to dislike!

THE RO SUITE.
The room was beautiful. Scenery from windows is incredible.
Staff very friendly.
Home made cookies in reception a nice touch.
And as a cat lady meeting Barney the hotel cat made the trip complete
Only thing I'd say is could be higher to allow better view from window as the view is amazing

Auperior double Lake view room was a nice view of thr lake and the room was spacious
Unfortunately stretched themselves thin and they had booked too many guests for the duration of our stay and on top of sickness this means that we could not have rooms cleaned/Fresh towels/cups changed orr 2 days. Beer off one evening and this was important for my partner as was one of the reasons for booking this hotel with nice bar enabling to sit out. Room key randomly adopted working, whole hotel needs a freshen up, carpet loose in room which was trip hazard. Charge daily for parking even though paying to stay

Beautiful room and views - great location for Post Knott and Brant Fell we couldn’t be happier with our stay!
Booked via here for a 30th Birthday Night Away and they upgraded our room to a balcony view which was just amazing! Also they offer a birthday package which was a lovely surprise for my boyfriend on arrival!
A lovely hotel stay they’re renovating and updating to a more modern look. Some parts of the building feel dated and could be polished up to match the modern restaurant and entrance!

The hotel is situated up a steep hill, which may cause an issue with anybody with a bad hip or knees. The breakfast is rxcellent
Nothing.

A few issues with room but nothing that would spoil break.

We had a very loud generator behind our room. This was running until 22.00 then in the morning it was switched on at 6!!!

Rooms clean and modern. Very quiet at night.
A bit scruffy in hallways. Carpets need a shampoo and walls painting. Brightening up, paintings etc. just lacking a bit of colour and style.
Foreign receptionists need some training in customer service. Need to be told to smile at customers. They look miserable and a little too casually dressed.

There's very little I could fault the hotel for, it was almost perfect. Value for money, dog friendly, central location, great staff & clean.
The only gripe, and it's a small one is the hotel need an additional coffee machine at breakfast, it was so busy and you would queue for some time for it to run out of coffee/breakdown.

Location, Bed and Bathroom
Room not to standard expected for price. Described as a room with a view whilst two of the blinds on the three windows don't work so no view. Shower glass far to short so having to use towels to mop up water on floor and no house keeping so had ask for more towels. Disappointed.

Loved the location, and the room was amazing hoping we’re in the same room when we visit again in April 😂🤞🏼
The only thing I would say is that the room isn’t very sound proof and we could hear a lot of the building work going on while’s trying to sleep early morning, sometimes parking can also be abit of a struggle when party’s are going on

The location. The tv and all the mod cons.
The blind was broken in the room.

The property was in a great location 😊
Breakfast was terrible.. Only one coffee machine for everyone. The buffet breakfast wasn’t big enough for all the guests. Had to keep waiting for food to come out. At one stage there were several guests waiting for food. Not to mention the queue at the coffee machine 🤪

waiters / bar staff very friendly
The £50 deposit taken when booking in , which give the hotel the facility to take £444.34 after I left the hotel for no reason ,which I'm still waiting for A refund 1 week later.

I never leave a review but felt needed to the photos advertise this as a modern close to centre hotel and it most definitely feels like that when you walk through the main door … until u go through the door to the corridors for rooms it resembles a nursing home the smell in our corridor was absolutely disgusting like sewers
When entering the door to the rooms it’s very run down plaster hanging off walls and smells like a nursing home the room was tiny and way to hot the window didn’t stay up breakfast the service was absolutely shocking 10 min to be seated one member of staff who spent most of his time on his phone no cups left for a brew and the French toast was that burnt you wouldn’t even give it your dog to get to the venue you have to go up a huge hill would not recommend this for the elderly and definitely not worth the money we paid won’t be returning

Lovely view - fabulous breakfast!
Being picky - the parking was disorganised; maybe there will be clearly marked bays eventually.

The bedroom was clean and a good size
Breakfast was horrendous and extremely poor quality. We went out for breakfast on our second day as the hotel food was so bad. The staff were not friendly and they took £50 deposit which will take 7 days to return to my bank
