I love the Linthwaite, it’s a beautiful peppery in a gorgeous area. Views of the lake are amazing. It feels very luxurious.
There nothing not to like, although I don’t like the sculptures, the beauty of the garden and views is enough.

All meals taken at Linthwaite were fabulous. The atmosphere and facilities overall were exceptional. We have stayed at LH many times and have always come away anxious to return.
All was fabulous.

The property and grounds are exceptional. The staff are well trained, understand service and polite. For us this time Anthony has outdone the service to exceptional state. Thank you all.
The rooms can be sometimes overly warm and need to open windows. Thermostatic would be greatly appreciated in smaller rooms.

Great location, away from the hustle and bustle of Windemere. Located on a hill, it provided beautiful views. Staff was professional and helpful.
The entire breakfast was below average, but especially disappointing was the coffee. It was watery and mild. The staff tried, as we were provided espresso drinks, but they too were "off". For an establishment that is focused on quality, the kitchen needs to provide a higher quality for the breakfast and coffee. The hotel would benefit from a concierge for explicit suggestions and instructions on the Lake District - directions, what and where to visit, where to eat, etc.

Great location overlooking Lake Windermere. Easy to travel around the Lakes. Food was excellent, dinner amazing and the full English breakfast didn't disappoint! sat on the terrace having a drink before dinner, great view of the lake. The resident ducks made an appearance!
Because the rooms were rather small, there was no seat at the 'dressing table 'which was stuck in a corner of the room and nowhere else to sit except the bed. Other than that , no complaints.
4.5
Outstanding location with brilliant views - the extensive and beautiful grounds were an unexpected bonus, especially the large lake hidden at the top of the property. The restaurant, bar and quality of dining were outstanding
Extended delay for breakfast service on our final day was a little disappointing and perhaps cheaper wine options on the wine list could be made available.

gardens, view , internal finish and staff very good
lack of bar food … which they used to offer in the bar / Conservatory and it was excellent .. and benefited from the view . not having this leaves you not other option than Henrock which doesn’t always suit as more formal or with kids .

The location is ok, 20min walk to the city centre. A good view of the lake on the middle of hill.
Worst experience I've ever had in a luxury hotel. Definitely not worth the money. The room is only business standard (3-star). Cleaness is terrible. The bedsheet is dirty and we noticed it until my wife feeled itching on her knee. Although, the reception decided to upgrade the room after observing the dirty bedsheet, but this completely ruined our holiday mood and I never expect such things happened in a luxury hotel. The manager team is very bad, we didn't receive any formal apologies from them. It's just like nothing happened. The staff is ok, but definitely not at the level of a luxury hotel. I will never choose this Leeu group hotels, and I would recommend you many other wonderful luxury hotels in Lake District for your holiday.

Every member of staff was exceptional. The staff were incredibly courteous, welcoming and the high levels of customer service really made our trip that extra bit special.
The hotel and grounds are stunning, and we found the hotel to have a peaceful and gentle ambience.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

Super beautiful hotel and property. The common spaces — the bar and sitting room — are picture-perfect. I can imagine the patio is amazing in summer.
Our door was extremely close to our neighbor's and the noise cancellation was not good. We could hear them explicitly both in the evening and in the morning and it was not pleasant.

Everything. It was a beautiful setting, an experience, adventure into how the other half live, Uber clean and an efficient attentive team of staff who looked after and anticipated every need. The concept of curated art works by the owner in the rooms and grounds is stunning to behold with fantastic views of the lake and the sun going down. Well worth pushing the boat out you won't regret it. Simon Rogan inspired menu that was at Michelin star level and just divine to experience eating such fine food.
The sausage at breakfast. I like sausage and this was average everything else was great.
