Fabulous quirky cottage in prime location, fully furnished with everything you need.
The steep road to the car park area which is in need of repair, but saying that it’s much better than no parking !!
4.0 / 5.0
Great location, plenty room, clean and tidy, homely.
Lovely touch with the welcome wine and chocolates.
Well stocked with washing and cleaning products.
Slight damp smell under sink where cleaning products are. Wasn’t massively confident with security, just the snub lock however there were no issues.

The parking, it was nearly inaccessable

Location was perfect right next to the cafes bars and shops the cottage was immaculate and had a lovely private patio area too
We had two elderly guests with us although there were stairs they were manageable
Anne Marie was lovely very helpful and reccomended a few places to eat
Great pub right next door too which serves some fantastic cocktails
Would definitely come back
Really just as previous guests had said the drive up to Cottage is very steep with several potholes but that was it and I understand that the host can't really do anything else about it

The cottage smelt of damp/foul
Dirty carpets rubbish left outside from previous guests
Description of cottage not accurate bedrooms on separate floors 2 on ground floor master 2 floors up no handrails on stairs would not recommend for families with children or people with limited abilities
Carpark had fly tipping and very steep unstable surfaces
We didn't even stay in end saw all this then drove home with2 disappointed children and no refund of host

Location is great, it's 5 minutes walk to the lake with many restaurants and shops near by and it's a very quiet area. The cottage has a spacious living/kitchen area, great sized bedrooms and bathroom. Host was very informative and hands on with help. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a great location and a hassle free break.
The steep slop to the carpark was terrible and road surface was very poorly maintained, actually I couldn't drive my car up the slop to park and I drive a 4x4. I wouldn't recommend anyone to try to park there with their car. In the end I parked in a public carpark that is 5 minutes walk away which host has suggested and it was quite safe to park in that public carpark.

it was very comfortable and had every use needed.
the ramp was very steep to the car park. we almost didn’t manage it, but it can’t be helped where it is.

Fantastic central location and house with 3 good size double rooms. The house had all the facilities and equipment we needed and the welcome pack was a nice touch. Close to shops, pubs, restaurants and bus stops. Owner helpful with local information.
Not an issue for us but as mentioned by others the slope to the car park is steep which can be a little overwhelming for nervous drivers - however better to have a free car park space than not 😀

Absolutely lovely cottage in the most fantastic location in the centre of Bowness which was perfect for our group of 6 girls. Anne-Marie was great and gave us loads of top tips as well as replying really quickly throughout our stay.
Only difficulty was the parking which is up a very steep and gravely slope - which was particularly difficult in my very small car!

Top quality cottage, brilliant location. Loads of room even with 2 dogs.
Can’t fault any of it and can’t wait to stay again.
Ramp up to car park dubious, especially with the big pot holes to navigate round. However we were forewarned and could have parked elsewhere.
