Bed and pillows very comfortable, clean, nice sized room, staff friendly, great location, managed to get a car park space underground
The lighting in the room is poor, shame you can’t open the window for some air, the room very stuffy and needed ventilation
5.0
Cleanliness and proximity
Nothing
5.0
Close to town centre and the water
Carpets on the landings have seen better days on the floor I was on
3.0
Pleasant staff, good size room, quiet, location.
Booking.com confirmation stated 2 bath robes, slipper and bottled water. On arrival, one robe, no slippers no bottled water. When taking a showering, empty body wash bottle (dark coloured wall mounted bottles so you are not able to see what level of wash, shampoo etc are in the bottles before getting in the shower). The also have a body lotion wall mounted bottle, again empty.
For a one night stay, and expecting as to have the amenities as advertised, I did not bring my own. Not a major issue, but annoying for a room only stay at over £200.

The staff that I meet, liked a bit of banter. The reception staff were a credit to the compy,as was all the staff we meet.
The room was a bit smaller than we thought.

Good location and Bradley on reception was exceptional and did his best to help us in bad circumstances
Room allocated on the Friday evening had no toilet facility as it was broken. Carpets were stained everywhere and unhygienic feeling to the room. Not good!
3.5
Fab location on the waterfront
Very small window in the room that didn’t open and the sky bar wasn’t dog friendly 🙁
4.5
Lovely location and the staff were great. We only spent a night but would happily come back again. Warm cookies on arrival which was a nice touch. My only small gripe is the room we were in was looking tired. Other than that great for a night or two away.

Location
Lots of things. Staff were friendly but most were not well trained. Slipshod service.

Spacious rooms and comfortable bed.
Shower was amazing!

Room was spacious and comfortable, we were on the first floor so this was very convenient for our stay
we didnt have a view, just a wall! We weren't able to access the car park due to a festival which the hotel claimed they didn't know about... I find that incredibly odd!
4.5
Hotel in an ideal spot, staff very friendly and helpful (Warm cookies on arrival!!). Bed was huge and very comfortable.
Nit picking, but no view out of the window. But that's not a complaint, just the luck of the draw!

Roof top bar with good views over the waterfront. Friendly staff. Good location. Good breakfast bar with plenty of choice.
My room was below the restaurant kitchen therefore it was noisy. But I was given a better room on request.

We had a great stay, we used the cocktail bar and ate in the restaurant also. The room was clean and comfortable
On the Sunday morning the fire alarm went off at 07:00 in the morning which was a bit of a shock 😳
Apparently it was something to do with the AC

Good location
We were disappointed- we booked this location for the night of our wedding due to the fantastic reviews. Having got in late from our wedding day the night before, we were awakened abruptly at 7am for a fire alarm and then stood outside in the cold for almost 45 mins. It felt like a waste of money and a poor choice for the night of our wedding. We didn’t receive any apologies or compensation from the hotel and felt frustrated by the whole experience
3.5
The lovely views from Catgedral ballroom 2 and electric bar.
The pillows in the rooms were very uncomfortable and the drinks at the bar in the Cathedral ballroom were very expensive so I didn’t drink much.
3.0
Bed was comfy, room modern and clean.
I booked a Superior King Room and was given a disabled access room, with low mirrors, pull chords everywhere, minimal lighting so struggled to do hair and make up. Whole bathroom also wet through after shower, because wet room rather than shower cubicle/bath. Said on booking we would get water, slippers and robes and no sign of either.

For the price, it's OK.
Staff very attentive
Paid for superior king room, no bottled water provided or slippers.
Decor is dated, carpets worn heavily.

The hotel has great potential but is older and in need of some modernisation. Carpets are very worn and room floors had stains
Hotel bar downstairs was closed so only option was very loud roof top bar

Perfect location for summer evening. Bar on the roof classy
Lack of view, small window offputting .
Bar on roof tables were slow to be cleaned between guests

Great location. Room size ok. Didn’t eat at hotel.
We had room 117. Overall cleanliness of room ok on first glance, only then to reveal dirty sheets which had brown stains on ( I have pictures which I showed staff next morning ) My husband had to sleep on a towel as it was late when we got back to our room.
The noise levels were awful! The fan above the door is hardly noticeable when chatting or tv is on. Once in bed its constant noise is annoying. It does not turn off or turn down. Also there was another fan or generator outside the window that kept kicking in all through the night. It was dreadful. The safe didn’t work and the floor tiles in the bathroom are loose. In the end we got up early and left.

Very good location for town and places to eat. Gym is well-equipped. Comfortable room. Best of all though, the staff are genuinely lovely people
All good, though the coffee shop downstairs didn’t seem to be open very much

Great bar!
Restaurant abit of a disappointment though
The fire alarm at 7am Sunday morning after few beers the night before

The fire alarm going off at 7am resulting in only 4 hours worth of sleep

The location was great.
Room gorgeous and clean.

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, good food and drink
Rooms could be cleaner, table very dusty
2.5
Staff were very friendly. Location was good by historic dock with many restaurants close by. Also within easy walking distance of railway station. Good choice for breakfast
We paid for a superior room. However we were located on the first floor with just half an external window and a view restricted to seeing four carparks! We were given one small bottle of sparkling water to last the two of us for three nights. Promised slippers never arrived. For the price we would have expected a cold box either with or without drinks (gratis or to pay for.). Very limited drawer space. Dirty carpets in corridor.
4.5
Staff excellent, efficient and friendly, we had to move room as there was a funny smell, but was moved asap and even when we had the fire alarm go off at 7am and had to wait outside for nearly an hour.
