Easy to find.
None to say.

Position
Noise from workmen fitting new front doors.
Breakfast choice was very limited and had to be taken outdoors which in February was very cold.

The staff was super friendly and the courtyard was a wonderful amenity. The room was lovely and clean and the location was perfect.
The only issue we had was the bathroom. The toilet took 3+ flushes to empty the contents and the hot water did not work consistently in the shower. There was a lot of patchwork caulking in the bathroom and some mildew as a result.

It’s a really great place to stay - designed, clean, quality of service, location
A room with a very small window due to the colonial architecture of the building.

lovely courtyard in good area close to the centre
safe didn’t work properly

Beautiful property with spacious and clean room. Comfortable bed.
Spotty WiFi and no hot water in our bathroom. we also had problems with our room key.

everything was excellent

Location close to main square and markets. The staff was incredible. The property was very secure. The food in the restaurant was very good. Again the staff was amaxing.
There was nothing I did not like. I will return.
4.5
The location was excellent. Within walking distance of everything.
The breakfast was not much to write about. The fruit was good and fresh. With all the delicious looking rolls and breads we saw in the markets, they could have served something better than plain white toast.

Casa de Sierra Azul is an oasis in the heart of historic Oaxaca with bars, restaurants,, art galleries, and the Zocolo within walking distance. It's the perfect location. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained with a tropical courtyard, where we enjoyed several very good meals at the restaurant. The staff was friendly and courteous and very helpful. We would stay here again and highly recommend it.
Windows on the ground floor rooms should open for more air circulation.

Loved the location and how easy it was to get around. Adorable with a quiet courtyard. Appreciated that a car rental place was right across the street.
We rented the room with a terrace but didn’t really need that since the area outside the room was so cozy. The terrace had two lounge /laying chairs which we didn’t need. But that is not a complaint on the hotel! It was great!

one of my favorite hotels in Mexico. love the courtyard and how peaceful and relaxing it is. staff are very accommodating and helpful. locations is awesome, just a couple of blocks from the square and lots of great bars and restaurants close by. bed super comfy. linens and pillows high quality. good Wi-Fi and tv channels in English lovely shower with great shower head and hot water and the provided toiletries are amazing.
if I was to find something the door was slightly difficult to open, but I am really searching for something to complain about. our stay was wonderful

The best part of this hotel is the location. It is central to downtown and a short 3-5 minute walk to Zocalo. A lot of the most popular attractions are located within the area and a maximum of a 15-20 minute walk. The hotel also smells amazing and we looked forward to that smell when we came back each day. The main area was beautiful. When we did eat at the hotel (mostly breakfast) it was delicious and presented well. Kitchen staff is top-notch.
The wifi was absolutely horrible. I realize this may be a 'first world' problem, but based on the reviews prior to booking, I was looking forward to having reliable wifi to share my Oaxacan experience with others, real-time. Most of the time, we had to go to a cafe a just a few hundred feet away to receive good wifi. The bed was hard, but again, 'first world' problems. The reviews I read prior to booking stated that the staff was super friendly and spoke English well; this excited us as we are really friendly people from a relatively friendly town in Central, New York. The staff was friendly in that they answered your question(s) but other than that, we didn't feel that sense of warmth that we had read in the reviews.

The restaurant in the courtyard was fabulous- we had some of the best breakfasts of our stay there.

Location is close to all attractions.
Bed and pillows are not comfortable. You do not get hot water.

The location was good. The bartender and servers were excellent and helpful. Front desk was NOT ever helpful.
Check in took forever. The layout of the hotel is very awkward with a lot of stairs, even in our room. In general, the rooms were very dark. I was very uncomfortable and changed hotels after one night. Its clearly an old, historic hotel. We had 3 rooms with our group, there were several room changes since some rooms were better than others. One room we were shown faced the courtyard with only a small upper window (it felt windowless and dark).
