This is a gorgeous little inn in the heart of Pitlochry. The room was perfect and the staff was wonderful!
3.5
Friendly reception and waiting staff. Nice comfortable room.
Noisy room (i e. Music and noise from the pub could be heard clearly in the room until past midnight on both nights of the stay). The standard of breakfast is not commensurate with the room rates (e.g. very poor coffee, basic breakfast with no refinement).in general, the accommodation is good but there is an identity mismatch between being a hotel and just a pub (i.e. parts of the offering are high quality whilst other aspects had little care about them). The pub itself was lovely with a great vibe and good drunks selection but does not cut it as a dining option or as a 'gastro pub' with accommodation. Evening food was very expensive in relation to its quality.

This hotel was a little gem of a find! The outside was stunning and plenty of seats etc of the weather was better. Upon check-in the receptionist was very professional and friendly and informative. We checked in and we were extremely impressed with our room - No. 1. Extremely spacious bedroom / sitting area and bathroom. Cleanliness was 100% I couldn’t fault anything with this room. Opened the window and there was a small waterfall which was stunning. Went outside and the hotel was very central with shops and other restaurants and bars. We then went to hotel bar and it was very cosy with the log fire. Staff were friendly. Restaurant was for residents only which I liked as we were hungry and guaranteed a table. Food was extremely good. Breakfast was good the next day!
I couldn’t fault this hotel.
For £199 for B&B it was a bit more on the pricier side.

Always a friendly welcome, and always feel you get well looked after as guest, tha staff seem to be enjoying there work, food is exceptional, comfortable bed, fabulous shower, just a great place to be, roaring real fire makes it too.
I was too hot in the bed room, probably not the worst complaint in a Scottish hotel at Christmas time, but the thermostat didn't work so had to open windows then the traffic noise became an issue, apparently I could have turned it down at the radiator, also the toilet brush holders have seen better days.

Room was well furnished and nice amenities. Good shower in bathroom. Evening meals excellent.
Bedroom was cold and no visible means to increase heating. Breakfast on1st morning took more than half an hour to arrive after ordering.

Staff are very attentive and the food and drink is spot on.

spotless modern rooms with everything you needed.
friendly helpful staff and a great location.
only down side was noisy at night - but that was due
to how popular at weekends the place is - so can’t
really complain - maybe supply earplugs 😀

Nice location, good bar and restaurant.
We were put in a room that was outrageously hot. It wasn't even warm outside that day. There was a very cheap fan which had no chance of combating that heat. The next morning we spoke with the staff and found that our room was above a boiler room. It seemed to be a known secret that this room is really hot. We were very annoyed by this. We barely slept on the Friday night, which then affected our Saturday.
If it's known by the establishment, that this room is too hot, then why does it not have air conditioning. The room cost over £200 a night. This is really not acceptable. We were moved to another room for the Saturday night, but the damage was already down.
We feel really let down by The Old Mill here, being put into a room that is not up to standard.

Superb hotel/inn. A home from home!
Wonderful welcome, super friendly staff with excellent training. Beautiful rooms, crisp white bed linen, and fabulously comfy bed. Excellent organic shower products. The picture of the Inn doesn’t do it justice, the main entrance which is the original building is covered in ivy and flowers, stunning. Tucked away behind the Main Street it’s private, secluded but pulls a lively crowd due to its faultless restaurant.
The best food we tasted on our entire trip of two weeks, reasonable prices, educated waiters … this place has it all.
Highly recommend, will return in a flash!
