The traditional beautiful facility with a “feel at home vibe” but also with all the comforts and amenities of a 5star hotel. Located in the center of the city. Amazing breakfast! Great dinner and margaritas! Super staff from Santiago to Gabriel to the Chef! Special mention also to the guide the hotel management collaborate with, Juanito, which was one of the best guide I have ever had (he was a true expert and he basically was involved in all of the excavations/restoration of the area). It made a true pleasure visiting Ek Balam and Chichen Itza and made me get passionate about the Maya history!
Lastly, the private Cenote experience they offer is something that cannot be described! I have travelled all over the globe and this is definitely in my top three experience. The facility, the cenote, the private set-up, the food was just top notch! An hidden gem in the Yucatán peninsula! If you are traveling around Valladolid do not even think and just book this hotel and the cenote experience. You won’t regret.

Excellent hotel, both locations (just across the square) are large colonial houses very similar. Staff super nice. I strongly recommend it. They have both restaranut and bar service.
The bar service close at 10pm.

This place is above and beyond. Truly one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff is amazing and so helpful, there are free French press coffee, cold water and tea at any time. The pillows are a downy dream. The hotel and rooms are so much more beautiful than the pictures show. The food is really good. This place made me so happy. They literally have thought of everything and it’s perfect. An absolute A+

We liked it very much
A little noisy late at night (music) but it was probably coming from surrounding outside the hotel

Good location in Valladolid, walking distance from the city centre, on a small square. Beautifully renovated building, with nice garden and pool, quiet and relaxing. Extremely friendly staff, good breakfast. Parking available, as well as good restaurant in separate building. Perfect stay
The rooms and bathrooms are nicely designed and decorated, however our room did not have any window/view to the outside and the fixed windows did not allow the air to circulate (we do not like air I). Apart from this small point, everything was perfect.

Excellent breakfast, beautiful decor with each room a little different and great light. Amazing staff.

The hotel is beautiful and well located in the centre of Valladolid. The beds were comfortable, the room spacious and we appreciated the communal seating areas as well. The staff also provided us with a larger-than-expected breakfast to suit our early check-out, and provided helpful advice on meal options in the town. There was also plenty of secure parking.

Friendly and attentive staff, tasty breakfast, refreshing pool in a plant-filled courtyard, its own parking lot for easy ingress and egress, and comfy hammock in our room. The decorations in the common areas and rooms were particularly impressive.

We cannot give this hotel a good rating for anything at this point.
We seldom write up a place badly, but unfortunately we had a terrible experience. Money went missing from my bag.. inside a pocket in my bag that was also in a pouch. We reported it immediately. Met with a manager after he talked to two people who cleaned our room. Said we should file a report and leave at the desk (with employees?) We did not. He would contact the police and do an investigation and let us know. We had three more nights after this and so why not while we were there? We do not believe there was any intent for an investigation. We were told there was nothing he could do and that we should have used the safe. Really? I have waited several days to hear anything (police inquiry?) and have heard nothing. So, fair warning to all of you! It does not feel good to have a hotel employee stealing from you. It also does not feel right that the manager/owners did not care. No one came to our room after the first day either.. not to ask us if we needed fresh towels, empty our trash, etc. We were treated quite poorly after we reported this incident. We have traveled all over the world and this is the only place we have ever experienced such horrible customer service. We picked this hotel based on reviews. We gave them time to respond and nothing has been done. So disappointed and so this is our review.

A real gem of a small hotel. Delightfully appointed in an authentic colonial Spanish/Mayan style but with up to the minute showers at and air conditioning. Large, comfortable beds and excellent breakfasts
Thé wifi was a little unreliable inside the bedrooms but fine in the public areas.

Very friendly staff. Homely atmosphere. Nothing too much trouble.
Wi-Fi a little unreliable.

The room was a good size and remained relatively fresh all day long even without the AC on. Breakfast was amazing (especially the House specialty eggs).
Our room was right by the breakfast area: so we kept being woken up early on by the cooks getting ready for breakfast and then guests going for breakfast early and talking loudly. Someone also tried to enter our room repeatedly thinking it was the bathroom.
Our room wasn't in the nicer building but in the older one, something that I wasn't aware of at the time of booking. Had I known, I would have booked another room to be further away from traffic.

The courtyard is peaceful and beautiful. Breakfast is full.
The room is spacious and beautiful.
It was strange that the window to be opened looked onto the bathroom, not onto the yard.

Attractive surroundings, lovely decor, quiet comfortable rooms and good breakfasts. Convenient walking access to town, easy parking.
No hot water!

We loved this place! So charming, authentic...just absolutely lovely. We just loved it from the second we came in.
Rooms were spacious and clean, shower great, breakfast not typical buffet but great, staff friendly and kind, convenient parking, close to downtown...everything was great.

Such an amazing hotel that we'd revisit in a heartbeat. You feel like you're staying with family - the staff are all so welcoming and accommodating and the place itself is stunning and full of homely touches. We loved the personal service and breakfast - wish we'd stayed longer than just 1 night!
Nothing - perfect.

Hotel Posada San Juan is a gem! The personal is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and the hotel is situated closeby the central square of Valladolid. We stayed here with our 2 kids of 7 and 4 and this hotel is very family friendly.

This place was phenomenal. I can't say enough wonderful things about the beautiful setting, the grounds, the staff; our lovely room with a comfortable bed (and a hammock!) and amazing bathroom. I would come back to Valladolid to stay here again! They provide parking as well. The pool area was lovely, and you could make yourself an espresso or tea. There were various semi-outdoor areas to sit and read, enjoy the property....everyone who worked there was absolutely wonderful! They helped organize a knowledgeable guide for the ruins as well. My 11 yr old son and I LOVED our stay. Breakfast our last day and coffee were delicious!
It wasn't clear that breakfast was included, we could have had more than the yogurt/fruit/toast that was sitting out.
