Absolutely charming! Very nicely appointed.
Parking was difficult in the evenings and no alternatives.

Lovely rooms, welcoming friendly hosts. Food was excellent in The Old Hall downstairs for dinner as was breakfast. We were only on a quick stop over but would have loved to have stayed. Good walking opportunities and lots of info available for local walks / GPS units available which would have been great.

Charming.
Nothing.

Great food at the pub, lovely staff and beautiful setting.
Room was a little bit tired & some snagging issues but the staff were very helpful and apologetic at addressing these.

Wow - so impressed with the stay. As mountain lovers (and from out of town) we were totally blown away by the care and kind support from the Old Hall team - We got some wonderful information and our evening meal was amazing - Luckily had two other meals to make sure. Loved it so much that we are definitely coming back - THANK YOU

Seating not particularly comfy, shower and water pressure from shower poor

Beautiful room. Amazing food and great location. Staff were so friendly.
Nothing not to like.

Ample breakfast, lots of choice and delicious local produce used where possible. Room we stayed in was in the paper mill which has a bar on the ground floor, but this closed promptly at a reasonable hour so didn’t stop us getting a good nights sleep. The Old Hall accross the road is a beautiful building, sympathetically restored with a lovely enclosed beer garden. Staff were really helpful and the property is ideally located for a Peak District visit.
Nothing.

Really nice place. Comfortable and clean. Large modern bathroom with great shower. Breakfast was good and both the Old Hall Inn and the old Paper Mill were nice places for food and drink and to chat with the locals. A bit of noise from the pub at night but we decided to join them so no problem there!
Nothing really, except the weather but that wasn't their fault!!

excellent rooms, very comfortable.

Dan and the team were very helpful in recommending a few hikes around the area and provided us with a GPS tracker. Breakfast was generous and the pack lunch option was very useful! The room was spacious with a good sized bed for us to sleep with our little one!
The noise from the pub might not be for everyone. When we arrived for check in the place was busy and we had to queue at the bar for a while with coats and luggage...not ideal but didn't affect our stay at all!

Great Accommodation well located in the Peak Districts, loads of local walks, good food and a range of beers at both Old Hall and the adjacent Paper Mill.
Nothing.

I had a wonderful experience at the inn. The place was perfect for me, and the room was spacious and cosy. I appreciated the friendly and efficient check-in process, the staff were always available to answer any questions. I strongly recommend this inn to anyone in search of an excellent stay.

Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Open wood fires were much appreciated. Dinners were excellent.
Loud music played below our room and went on until 11pm on Monday evening. We had been led to believe that music would be played in the Old Paper Mill, not in the Old Hall itself.

It was our first time in Derbyshire and Chinley was a lovely village to have visited.
The food at both The Old Hall and The Paper Mill was absolutely delicious and faultless.
Had the choice of either a continental and/or cooked breakfast. The hot breakfast was delicious and the women that served us were so lovely.
The room was more run down that what was expected and considering the price, could do with some maintenance
Damp smell in our room (number 7) and mould residue by the windows
Blown bulb on the first day that wasn't fixed during our stay
Low beams, if you are over 5ft5 you will have to crouch through doorways

beautiful property with modern rooms and bathrooms. staff were great and food was amazing. above an inn and a nearby pub which was handy and served lots of guest beers. however the noise from the inn could be heard in our room, which may be a problem for some.
a very substantial breakfast and lots of choice.
being middle of winter we really could have used an extra throw for the bed

Staff were all excellent. Efficient and courteous! Rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The continental offering on top of the pre ordered cooked breakfast was great. Great choice of cask ales and a reasonable menu.
Get the chefs to make more of the Lamb Bourguignon pudding. It sold out both nights before we could try it :( . It looked and smelled delicious, shame it wasn't on my plate lol

Fabulous on every level. Immaculate and comfortable accommodation, a hugely warm welcome and truly excellent food! All too short but we’ll definitely return. Thank you to Dan & all the very lovely staff.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Strange room layout: entrance via room that was open to the public, through room that was bear except for a linen cupboard and an ironing board, then room which had two tiny doors that faced onto a granite wall. Also steep outside steps leading to second room which were dark and I fell last down the last three. No TV in downstairs room.

The staff were so welcoming, helpful and friendly!

Food excellent both evening and breakfast.
Lovely property with friendly staff.
