Highly Recomended!

Eclectic decor with a definite Yorkshire Pride! Staff friendly and polite. Room absolutely perfect, even had a portable air con unit! Food amazing in the evening too!

Great place

Such a lovely little place. The staff were all so welcoming and the food was lovely. We went for a small double room but it was just the right size for the night with plenty of storage.

Family stay

The accommodation was comfortable and the staff were really friendly. The food was nice and it was useful to have good eating and sleeping at the same place. Good location to access to surrounding attractions.

The windows looked original, which was nice, but that did mean they didn't block as much outside noise. Although it is next to a road, it was a pretty quiet village, so we did sleep well.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, quiet room with excellent facilities and comfortable bed. My room (8) had French doors leading to a private balcony area. 10/10. I would stay again for a longer period.

Fantastic property and stay

A beautiful, interesting and quirky yet traditional place to stay. we had a warm welcome, ate excellent food and loved our room. we couldn’t ask for anything more.

Amazing Hotel, Pub, Restaurant, Outside areas it's got the lot . The inside is brilliantly themed you really can't stop looking around. Warm welcome and food to die for we will certainly be back .

The staff were friendly, helpful and chatty. The suite we stayed in was superb. The other rooms we booked for family were also lovely with little touches like sweets, bottled water and fresh milk. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and breakfast the next morning, there was an excellent choice and the food was wonderful. Very dog friendly which is what we needed and lots of local dog walking areas. Intending on returning very soon. Thank you for your hospitality.

The roads in the area could be a little noisy but this is not the fault of the hotel.

no milk for coffee in the room service at breakfast was very slow, our instructions were missed and we had to ask for toast which took too long to arrive, no glasses for the juice and no fresh fruit etc - when you are paying £12 for breakfast I expect more

Overpriced for the level of service given

The cleanliness of the room was good but the bed was not made which was poor.

The breakfast was a massive let down. Sparse selection of cereal, fruit which is pears or apples and yoghurt which wasn't available on 1 of the days. We ordered a veggie and a vegan breakfast and both came out with missing items. the veggie sausages were awful and we were not asked if we wanted toast. The cold tap in our room just span round when you tried too turn it on.

Very comfortable, nice menu and good value.

The staff, the decor, the food, the rooms, the location were all extremely good. We arrived and asked if we could have an extra bed in our suite as our son had decided to join us. Although I hadn’t rang ahead and asked, the manager was tremendously understanding and made up the fold down bed whilst we enjoyed a drink at the bar.

The room was beautiful, very peaceful and easily accessible with luggage.

The room was beautiful and had everything I needed for my stay, including a hairdryer. I left before breakfast so didn't sample this but my evening meal was delicious and the staff were attentive.

The Wi-Fi in the room was very poor and the 02 network was poor too. This needs improving for business users. The car park was very small and there was limited off-road parking.
