The location is amazing in the grounds of Cerne Abbas Abbey. Hosts had a real passion for the history of the site. It is well sited to do local walks or visit the rest of Dorset
The bathroom just doesn't work with the huge bath. If you try and have a bath, there isn't enough hot water to fill it. There is a shower head, but there is no curtain to stop the water spraying onto the carpet. The bathroom needs a refit with a shower cubicle where there are decent head heights. The bath needs to be a normal sized bath.

We had an easy, comfortable and lovely stay in Cerne Abbey cottage. I would visit again!
There was nothing I didnt like, but there could be more cooking equipments and dishes. Especially I was longing for a proper deep bowls for eating soup or cereals.

Quaint, brilliant location and characterful.

Beautiful location, perfect for exploring Cerne Abbas and around, we didn't need to go anywhere! Great hosts, very friendly and accomodating
The mattress is very soft and could do with an update. The kitchen could have had a few more utensils - scissors, sharper knives - and serving bowls etc.

lovely setting and delightful owners….a sweet little cottage for two in a charming village.
sadly, it didn’t have any Wi-Fi that worked during our stay which was a bit difficult over Christmas and the cottage could have done with some decorating, particularly in the bedroom…but all the other aspects were great.

Beautiful location; very friendly hosts.
we travelled quite a far distance to get there, so a pint of milk, some instant coffee and a few teabags on arrival would have been very welcome. Otherwise, though, everything was great.

Quaint, comfortable & cosy in a prefect pretty, pretty location next to the main house. Basic facilities but lovely and clean and everything was great for our stay, wood burner, big bath, comfortable bed, really good heating. Park & unload outside - 2min walk to the village 3 please pubs and the shop all right there in the same street.

Location is exceptional. The property is clean and has everything you need. Village has a lovely little shop selling the things you forget and three pubs none of which were disappointing.
I'll be honest here, I have issues with anxiety and am also insomniac. My anxiety wasn't helped by the hosts not responding to phonecalls or an email to ask about where the keys to the property would be (they were easy to find). My insomnia results in me sometimes being a noisy person until late in the night/early in the morning. That I could hear movements of somebody in the room adjacent to mine made me a bit paranoid about noise I was making which in turn fed my anxiety and insomnia to a small degree. I have to stress that these are my problems and not those of the owners or the property. It may not be an ideal venue for someone with the same bag of issues as me.

The peaceful environment was lovely. The cottage was very clean and tidy. The hosts were very congenial and gave you the time of day and responded to queries quickly.
There was nothing I didn't like.
