Room was big and airy. Large bathroom with bath and separate shower.
Lovely big bed.
Was good to be able to sit out under cover and watch the wildlife
Food was delicious with a good choice, large portions. Breakfast is a must..
Very welcoming staff.
Would highly recommend and would stay again.
Thick quilt on the bed, no separate sheet, so it was too warm. A fan was supplied but too noisy to have on while sleeping.

My room was clean, tidy and very pretty as was the whole property. The food was absolutely amazing and the hosts and staff were exceptionally friendly. I have recommended The Cholmeley Arms to all my friends and family and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

The full English breakfast is very very good but not for the faint hearted, you have to have a big appetite!!!! The location is wonderful and the village is a delight to walk through. You must visit the church.

Now and again one stumbles across a little gem. that's exactly what this hotel is, a real gem. The room was immaculate, the bedding of top quality , the shower huge with lashings of hot water. Outside a sitting area overlooking a delightful garden with two aviaries full of song birds. Met by John , the landlord on arrival who could not have been more helpful. The bar serves good real ale and has attentive staff. The dinner menu plus specials was extensive and reasonably priced with a good wine list. The food was excellent. Breakfast was excellent, and while we didn't have the full English, it comes with a warning that a healthy appetite was necessary, an understatement ! John and Lesley are excellent hosts and it is clear that their guests' needs and comfort are their priority. It has been added to our list of " need to return" as on this occasion it was a one night stop en-route from Scotland to Norfolk
Nothing, perhaps a comfortable chair in the room would add more icing on the cake

From checkin to checkout we were impressed with everything about the Cholmeley Arms. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room exceeded our expectations, in terms of facilities and comfort. We had a really splendid evening meal from a varied menu and our breakfast was one of the best we have had in decades of travelling around the UK.
I can genuinely not think of anything we did not like. We left disappointed that we were only here for one night and we look forward to having a longer stay in Burton Coggles in the not too distant future.

It offers peace and quiet, beautiful private garden, and on suite bedroom opening out onto a covered terrace. Perfect (especially good for us with two dogs).
Nothing to report here! Apart from not being able to get booked for longer lol

John and Lesley Berry are wonderful hosts who clearly understand what is required to provide great hospitality. They have sought to pass this on to their staff who without exception seek to follow suit.
The rooms leave nothing to be desired - the beds, the pillows, the bath and shower rooms etc are excellent.
The food is wonderful. In particular breakfast is an event . Mr and Mrs Berry clearly subscribe to the advice that one should breakfast like a king and this guest did so every morning upon ingredients of the best quality - not least of which were John Berry’s home made sausages.
Dinner was no less of a treat.
Rarely have I relaxed as well as I did at this truly excellent pub/ restaurant with rooms. I cannot wait to return.
Leaving it.

I love the Cholmeley Arms. The rooms are amazing with the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The owners Lesley and John make you feel so at home. The food is delicious, piping hot and freshly cooked. After one of Johns superb breakfasts, my daughter and I couldn’t even manage as much as a lettuce leaf until our evening meal.
Absolutely nothing!

Absolutely fantastic stay, the rooms are extremely well presented, practical and a nice touch with your own outside seating area. The breakfast was the best I have ever had and we opted to have our evening meals here too, a great choice on the menu, all delicous and the staff can't do enough for you, so friendly and welcoming. Thank you.
