The room was full of mosquitoes. The mosquito repellent were not effective. The bathroom is crumpy. The towels are old and torn on the sides. The building has no elevators/ lifts. The carpets are dirty

Disappointing
The location was good for our trip as we were attending an event in the area. Staff are generally helpful as they immediately accepted a late checkout time for us to coincide with our flight time. Breakfast was decent though simple and due to covid-19 it was served to the room. The front desk persons Mercy and Samuel are easy to talk.
Booking.com's description of the property is outdated. This property is listed as a 3 star hotel while in my opinion it is close to a 2 star property. It is old and not well maintained though due to demand there is construction for extending the hotel. The plumbing that goes through the wall is clearly audible and we would hear the water from washrooms above us rush through the plumbing pipes. The bathtub and commode were stained and walls have cracks. Water pressure particularly in the hot water tap is almost at zero. We had to use the cold water tap and that too at one time stopped as the water is pumped up and without electricity it ran dry. The hotel takes prepayment for the first night but that has to be either through a direct bank transfer or someone locally has to visit the hotel. I had contacted Booking.com Customer Service because the property was asking us for a bank transfer for the prepayment when I had already given my credit card details to Booking.com for confirming the booking. This message was sent 2 days before our arrival at which time we were already travelling. I wanted Booking.com to use the credit card details to make the prepayment as we were travelling as it was not possible to do a bank transfer (I would not want do that anyway). The customer service person told me that Booking.com does not have access to the credit card details, which was a major surprise for me. What was the reason for asking for credit card details at the point of booking then? I was in a bind as the property had messaged that they are unable to confirm my booking without the prepayment. Fortunately, I was able to organize through my contacts for prepayment to be made locally in Nairobi otherwise we would have reached the hotel and our booking could have been removed. So simply I got NO customer service from Booking.com.

They were very stubborn and unprofessional. Would not recommend to anyone. It’s not even worth 10% of what they charge.
Nothing In fact I hated it
It’s rooms, staff facilities, lighting, bathrooms not equipped, broken knobs The list just goes on…

Pathetic, Very poor Hotel, Not at all worth your money
Pathetic Situation, Dirty Rooms, Dirty Carpets, Bathroom Door Latch was broken so it was open all the time even when you are inside, when you sit in the Toilet, dirty door would touch you. Not at all as per what you see on the pictures provided on the site, No Lifts, No Phone in the room, No Lights, List is still too big
