Nice place to stay with friendly staff & great food.

Evening meal was exceptional value, great quality & a very good serving. Fitness centre was well equipped.

Quite dark on walk to room. Room was perfectly adequate but could do with a dressing table but the biggest let down in the room was the shower, good size bathroom but the shower was disappointing.

Lovely location and great staff

The staff were all very helpful, I had dinner and breakfast which were both lovely

Exceptional strong winds over night meant the door to my room kept rattling and banging. Because the door was external and not a fire door there were no strips around the edge to soften this.

Lovely location, bedrooms far too hot made sleeping almost impossible and restaurant full of flies.

Breakfast ok and the evening meals were ok. Location perfect. Staff helpful.

Bedroom was far too hot and no way of colling it other than leaving windows open which then meant room full of flies. As outside doors in restaurant were open the room was full of flies which is not what I expect in a dinning area. It actually made meal times unenjoyable.

The location and setting exceeded my expectations, and thoroughly enjoyed the stay!!

Full English breakfast was great. The evening meal was excellent. Lodge bedroom was comfortable too.

Lots to do here. Simple but clean rooms. Peaceful.

A comfortable overnight stay

Room was compact but had everything we needed. Plenty of storage, plugs sockets and coffee. It was clean and more than sufficient for 1 night.

Breakfast was only average, cooked food was quite dry but there was a choice of cereal and plenty of coffee.

Quiet and comfortable. I would use again for a short stay.

Room was warm, clean and comfortable and good value for money. Evening meal was very good. Parking very good.

Being motel style accommodation the directions round the site were a little confusing for a first visit. Rooms were quite far from the restaurant if it is raining. Ground floor room lacked a bit of privacy.

Kind staff who try their best to ensure a good stay

Good location and facilities. Very good food. Excellent staff especially the caretakers who live on site. They were particularly kind and helpful as I had a maintenance issue and they couldn't have tried any harder to resolve it. Re breakfast advised as very good breakfast included. The breakfast was a limited hot buffet and juices, cereal etc. For a 'very good breakfast' I think you need to provide cold meats, smoked salmon, variety of cheeses and freshly baked crossaints/pastries. Only my opinion! All in all a happy, relaxing stay in a warm, clean room.

Just what we wanted but some staff need a good manager to learn that the customer is more important

Reception by Deb. Excellent Bar staff at reception upstairs.

Restaurant too bright with fierce overhead lights unnecessary. Staff washing dishes at bar. Indifferent welcome at breakfast. Why not a bright good morning and a check if all was well? Plates Luke warm and scrambled eggs cold. Orange juice left empty.

Mediocre/ OK

The room was clean and tidy. We had issue getting in at first but the rooms are spacious so made up for the fact it was a self checkin. The staff sorted it out the issue straight away. The bed was comfortable. The food was very good. No complaints there. Our dinner was fantastic and breakfast was delicious. Breakfast service was good, plenty to choose from.

The staff were a bit miserable but the service was ok. I would class the dining area as a club house not a restaurant though. Wasn't what we were expecting.

You won’t find better value for money in that area.

since I last stayed here the rooms are much improved. Comfy beds clean rooms, quiet location with nice outlook over the golf course. The on demand cooked breakfast was very nice.

On the day the breakfast was a buffet it wasn’t great.

got woken up at 0130 by noise drunk people next to nr 20 and in the morning we went for breakfast when a young waitress asked if we stayed over I said yes room 20 she held her hand up to me to keep quiet and said I’m not talking to you looking at my fiancé she done it twice to me
