Aamupala ja hotellin tunnelma olivat vailla vertaa!
Huoneesta tuli helposti turhan lämmin.

Nice property and location.

the hotel room was perfect with everything needed, the location was great and close to the city centre. there was free parking on site.

Breakfast
Too bright. No curtain to block the light from outside from the bathroom. The glass door between bathroom and bedroom can not block the light. Can not sleep.

everything is perfect! we will be back!

Lovely place to stay. Very easy to go to centre. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is very good. They even had Demeter ( better than organic!) products.
I prefer to have bit more choice of vegetarian meals.

We stayed here all 3 days we were in Reykjavik and couldn't have been happier! The hotel has a very boutique vibe with lots of comfortable lounge/meeting spaces to plan your day or relax after sightseeing. The rooms were very comfortable and had all the amenities you need. The location is also great; an easy, 2-3 block walk to Laugavegur (main shopping, food, bar street geared toward tourists), and just behind the hotel is a Bonus grocery store should you want to load up on snacks for the rest of your trip. We did not try the restaurant other than at breakfast but loved it!

The laid back feel- the homely decor- relaxing music playing- free tea and coffee and water at all times. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast superb and meals too. Eco toiletries and sustainable attitude to recycling etc.
Nothing negative to say about the stay but I did notice two tiles missing off the stairs which should be fixed as it could prove dangerous.

Great hotel with contemporary Icelandic decor. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We did a tour of Iceland between our stays and they were more than happy to store our excess luggage until we returned.

central to the city with parking . comfortable bed, tea and coffee free all day in bar area. friendly staff.
it needs a little TLC . shower door didn’t close, therefore the floor flooded when showered, grout going black as no extractor fan. . says it’s eco friendly but we had paper cups and no recycling bins .

excellent all round. extremely friendly staff. very clean. had everything you need and food was great too

location is central to all the shops and restaurants. only a short 10 minute walk to the famous rainbow street. free tea and coffee in the bar area all day which is handy after a busy day exploring. easy pickup for tours and taxis. rooms very comfortable. I got a free bottle of Prosecco for my birthday which was a lovely touch.
I honestly don’t have anything negative to say about this hotel.

I simply don't understand why people rate this hotel with a 9+. The location is not super central and there is a lot of construction around the hotel. In my opinion the rooms are pretty outdated and the restaurant/bar doesn't have a very welcome feel. Neither did the staff btw. And the room was ridiculously expensive for the value. Wouldn't stay here next time in Reykjavik.

great location and awesome staff. The decor and ethos were lovely.
The room was very small and basic. The bathroom wasn’t great. room was very hot. breakfast was lovely, but very expensive.

When we arrived to check in, the receptionist gave us the impression that we were bothering him. He just handed us the key and gave us the room number. He did not accompany us to our room nor did he introduce the hotel. He was simply nonchalant. It gave us a bad impression right away, even though we had just arrived. We wondered if he had just handed in his notice. Anytime we walked past the reception desk we had no greeting and no smile. We even wondered if it was cultural since the cleaning ladies did the same. It was pretty awkward.
About the bathroom: there is no real door between the room and the bathroom so there is no privacy. The shower seal was not reliable so we found ourselves flooded every time we showered. The device to adjust the temperature was broken. We had sewer odors almost daily (if there had been a door the smell would not have been in the whole room).
The cleaning ladies' service was also disappointing. Dirty glasses forgotten every other day. The bed sometimes was half made; there are 4 pillows and yet 3 are on the bed while one was left on the floor? Another day it was my jacket that was thrown on the floor to make the bed... The least they could have done would have been to put it back on a piece of furniture before leaving.. Moreover, we did not have a 'do not disturb' card so the cleaning ladies would knock on the door to know if they could come in... Convenient.
As for the restaurant part, I keep a bitter memory of the service. We also witnessed the receptionist happily rush to the staff room with the waitress to gossip about some customers who clearly seemed to be a pain in the neck... Not so professional but at least he was smiling this time!
Also, we expected to have breakfast included at this price, it was not the case. However, I discovered during our stay that hot drinks were available free of charge at all times - I might have known this earlier if the receptionist had been willing to do his job...

Welcoming staff!! Facilities where fab! Room was lovely! The lobby area was lovey and tea/coffee readily available! Beautiful Hotel!
4.5
Lovely atmosphere with beautiful decor and staff that could not have been more friendly and helpful. We were ‘stuck’ there as Iceland basically shut down due to the weather and I can’t imagine a better place to have been stranded. Lovely breakfast, great bar, delicious menu, and a variety of snuggly places to go and hang out and chat with others.
A cherry on the cake would have been having a cosy log burner in the lounge area… but that’s not sustainable, and they do ecological exceptionally well (with organic produce and their own line of toiletries) so probably not really a negative.

rooms were good size, bathrooms were lush. complimentary toiletries were very welcome!
