Wildlife everywhere...stayed 2 nights and saw way more here from porch then saw in the NP ..howler and capuchin monkeys at all times of the day huge iguanas agouti birds butterflies crabs so much to see it was incredible..was the highlight of our trip of 20 days so far .. if you are visiting for wildlife THIS IS DEFINITELY FOR YOU!! DONT HESITATE it was amazing. It's a wooden simple private cabin with a comfy hammoc
Cahuita NP next door and in centre of town
There is a kitchenette you can access fully stocked ...the fans in room are good enough to keep you cool as well as the bug netting around beds was nice
If you came to Costa Rica for wildlife this is the place for you...you will feel bad for others who missed out on this experience...got so close to monkeys at all times of the day

Alles einfach toll.

The location to the national park was impecable, funny enough we saw more animals at this property than the National Park. The staff was amazing, the bungalows were great too.
The coolers need maintenance, that’s the only thing.

Everything - the place is just amazing. A little oasis of peace in the jungle. Very close to everything, shops, restaurants, Cahuita NP etc...The hosts are very friendly, they even provided us with clean towels and bed sheets. There is a kitchen which is very handy. We saw a big group of Howler Monkeys just outside of our bungalow and they gave us a morning spectacular show. If we ever come back to Cahuita, we will definitely stay at this place again.
Nothing.

Balcony with hammock, we stayed 4 nights there and have seen more animals passing the garden than in national parks! 2 types of monkeys with babies, sloth, 100s of land crabs, aguti, caiman in thec river just 20m away, turtles, lizards and birds, even an eagle hunting crabs just in front of the balcony, room No 4 is the best
Lots of moscitos at night but there is a moscito net, garden was wet in January, the toilet could stuck once but the staff solved the problem within 1h

Quiet and very nice bungalow, great location! Easy access to Cahuita main road and the national park. Fridge and coffee maker in the room and monkeys in front of the bungalow - we loved staying there!

Beautiful place to stay for our trip to Cahuita. We stayed in these cabins that's located close to the national park, so we saw Howler Monkeys and Watoosas on property, pretty cool. The cabins have mosquito nets and big windows to help with the air flow but luckily there's a fan to help at night cos it can get pretty hot. The shared kitchen was handy and the property was very nice and peaceful.

Nice lodge in the middle of nature and wildlife. Super close to Cahuita National Park. We had a nice bungalow, one of just a few, which was very clean and comfy. Great common outdoor kitchen. We saw sloths, monkeys, iguanas... right in the garden of the lodges.

Bungalow in a garden right by the national park, we saw more animals from our bungalow than in the park. Very clean room with mosquito nets which was appreciated! Small shared kitchen that was stocked with all the essentials was a definite bonus. The family who owns the place was very helpful, had good recommendations for tours and helped us organise the next leg of our journey to Tortuguero.
No mosquito net on the bathroom window, which meant we could not open the window at night. Otherwise everything was perfect!

This place is amazing for seeing wildlife! We saw more here than in the national park (entrance is right around the corner). We saw two types of monkey, agouti and a giant iguana during our stay. All basically in the back yard. Lay in the hammock and watch the jungle come alive around you. Very special.
Everything was wonderful. It is basic, so don’t expect luxury.

This place is amazing! It’s located on the edge of the national park, right in the rainforest. We saw a troupe of capuchin monkeys playing in the garden, heard howler monkeys at night, and saw an amazing variety of birds as well as agutís. We actually saw more animals here than in the national park. The bungalows are well equipped and the owner takes very good care of guests, and dealt with maintenance issues promptly. They have a fully equipped kitchen so you can make your own food, hammocks and the bungalows are beautiful, cozy and private. We had a wonderful time here.
There were a couple of maintenance issues with the plumbing but they were dealt with right away.

A real hidden gem - I can’t think of any faults. The staff are lovely, the location is perfect, and there are lots of monkeys that visit. The dogs are cool too :)

we loved the proximity to the National Park and town, as well as the abundance of nature that wanders through the gardens.
would love to see some more paths around the property as well as maybe menus or a list of eating recommendations

Very close to the National Park. You could hear the howler monkeys.
Nice garden with animals running around (hummingbird, monkey, crabs, aguti)
Well equipped outdoor kitchen, nicely situated in the garden.
There wasn't a lot of light in our cabin.

- friendly and helpful owner
- our bungalow was really clean and comfortable
- Great location in the middle of the jungle and within a very short walk from restaurants, beach and the entrance to the national park - we were able to see many animals nearby including capuchin monkeys playing next to our bungalow during the day
- some coffee and tea was provided
- Big and well-equipped communal kitchen
- small bed with a mosquito net which was not comfortable to use
- it was quite noisy during the night because of various animals such as howler monkeys but that didn't bother us too much because we loved the location anyway - be prepared to use earplugs though!
8.0
The accommodation was great as it was very quiet and peaceful. As it is located on the edge of the National Park we were lucky enough to see a variety of animals (Racoon, Agouti, Iguana, Monkey) from our veranda which was more than what we saw in the National Park. The room was spacious with a fridge, fans and mosquito nets covering the beds. The shared kitchen facilities were clean and had everything you could need.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
