Great Location close to the sea, just some hundred meters away from the entrance to Cahuita national park and also close to Playa Negra and the restaurants of Cahuita.
Very friendly and supportive staff, payment is possible at the location in USD or via PayPal. Secured parking is available at the hostel free of charge. The hostel offers a public kitchen with fridges, a public seating area with ventilators and a public shower to be used when you are coming from the beach.
The rooms are rather basic as to be expected for a hostel at this price level. Cleanliness was fine, the sheets and towels were good, the bathroom had seen much better times. The room comes with a powerful ventilator, which is necessary as there is no AC. Each bungalow also includes a hammock.
The bathroom could use some refurbishment. Our door of bungalow no. 12 could not be locked from inside, only from outside.

The best was the hammocks in front of each room. A community area outside the community kitchen. Walk to the park to see everything you came to see.
Kitchen was great to have but kids need to clean their dishes:) location to beach and park was great!

Everything. Location. Friendly and helpful staff. Courtyard was excellent. Kitchen was well stocked. Free coffee /tea a nice touch. Hammocks outside rooms bonus! Good value.
Getting hot water showers will add to the experience. Please move the smokers off the street side patio.

Good localisation next to the main street of Cahuita. We had a small room without a window. So it was okay for one night, but I would prefer to take a bigger room with a window if you stay longer.
The staff was friendly and helped us with every request.
Because of the localisation to the street it was pretty loud in the evening (we were there at saturday evening)

Friendly staff, nice kitchen and communal area
Room was too small, no hot shower

It started when we arrived: the staff was so kind and helpful. We felt welcome from the second we walked in.
They are very respectful and keep everything clean throughout the day (saw them cleaning multiple times).
The room surprised us positively with the size. To have a hammock and a private small outside area was a huge Plus. The kitchen had everything we needed and was kept clean by staff and guests.
Fresh coffee and filtered water was available for free what saved quiet some money.
Also visit the neighbour bar Ewa - also nice staff and great food.
Just book your stay there because it is a great place :)
Unfortunately they have a neighbor bar called Dubai and it played music till midnight once. I guess that is not their fault but it effected the stay a bit

Lady at reception was lovely, check in was really easy. The room is aged but they do well to make it nice and clean for you.
No hot water, very very loud all night.
Only a fan and it was quite hot.

Clean and personal was nice
So loud... The bar next door play music till 3am so it's impossible to sleep. So loud that you feel all the vibration on your bed.
Wifi didn't work in the dorm
Bedding didn't fit, woke up every morning on the mattress

+ : location , clean , cosy area, staff , kitchen , plug for each bed with personal light , etc
- : loud at night due of the bar near by so you need earplugs and WiFi doesn't work well in the dorm but perfect in the common area

The hostel is very relax and calm, with different types of travellers. The kitchen is well equipped and bathrooms are clean.
The rooms were quite small and there was no warm water from the shower.

The Girls in the Desk are outstanding! Great Job Girls! Thanks!
The Kitchen is not kids safe. And the equipment was broken or missing or just super old. The showers are cold which is quite fine for me but not for a kid.
