Absolutely delicious English breakfast cooked to perfection. Our hosts couldn’t have done anymore charming and so attentive. I will try the tips given in hope I can cook poached eggs as good as Kay’s
Everything was spot on I cannot find anything I would want to be changed.

It compared to staying in a 5* hotel. Every little detail thought of and provided to make our stay comfortable and luxurious, from dressing gowns, toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was an absolute delight as was the view.
There was nothing to dislike

I have already reviewed this inn but Booking.com has applied the review to the wrong room, which makes nonsense of the review. I booked 2 rooms: Deluxe Suite and Deluxe King Room. After staying I received 2 identical emails from Booking.com. There was no way of telling which email applied to which room. So I had to guess. Unfortunately, it was for the wrong room. You need to make 2 corrections. First, apply my review to the Deluxe Suite. Second, change your review request emails to make clear which booking they refer to.

Very high standards found throughout our stay, delivered by perfect hosts, in a lovely location.
Kay and Doug demonstrate how it really should be done.
Really can’t think of anything. Our only regret is that we hadn’t booked a longer stay.

Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Every preference available.
Maybe a lighter duvet on the bed during summertime, as we found the bed comfortable but we're too hot.

Our hosts were lovely and attentive.
The cottage was quaint and typically tudor like and the breakfast was excellent. Our room was lovely, had everything we needed.
You can relax in the garden if you so wish while deciding where to eat your evening meal or where to go in the day.
The area has lots to offer so you didnt have to drive too far, especially Lavenham and Long Melford.

Breakfast was fun and very tasty. I had home made porridge , banana and syrup, This was delicious. I also had soft buns with my favourite jam blackcurrant. WE looked out on the garden. and were looked after by Kay and Doug. Sally had a full English breakfast and loved it.
There was one thing I did not like, I kept tripping on the step of our bathroom! Then I hit my head on the door frame!

The suite was very well equipped and comfortable. Everything was just right. We stayed on a spring day but the weather was cold, so we were relieved to find that Kay and Doug had put the heating on in the suite.
Easily one of the nicest places we have stayed.
Breakfast was excellent, and the hosts very friendly but also conscious of our privacy.
Nothing.

A warm welcome on arrival. The accommodation was excellent, the rooms spacious. Very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was excellent, a bonus having the table to ourselves. A real gem and we will be returning. Lots to see in the locale and good information given by hosts re local places to visit, eat etc.
Cannot fault it in any way.

Excellent breakfast beautifully served in our own dining room so we could eat and read the papers in peace - no requirement to make polite conversation as the occupants of the other room had their own very nice breakfast room- this was a big plus.
Lovely building and wide ranging gardens with places to sit, Our hosts were kindness itself and we shall definitely rebook, perhaps for the larger suite on the ground floor as the access is easier. Kay and Doug ran their own hotel for many years and they know hospitality inside out.
Kay and I had a discussion about the rather small shower towels, but she has some larger ones available on request.

We hoped for a special stay in a lovely historic building that would both inspire and relax. Our hopes were significantly bettered in terms of the accommodation, location, the wonderful hosts who made us so genuinely welcome and the breakfasts were sensational. There was nothing that was not provided or offered and as frequent travellers this has been by far the most special of all. Thank you to Kay and Doug. 5 star plus
Absolutely nothing not to love. The only disappointment was leaving

Excellent owners who went above and beyond to make our stay a delight, bed was huge and extremely comfortable, breakfast choice was great and the full English was good quality produce, prepared to a high standard and served freshly cooked and piping hot, all b and b establishments should strive to provide such service and value.
No dislikes at the greyhound we loved it all.

Lovely old house; great location; helpful and attentive hosts. The breakfast was good--with lots of moving parts--cereal and fruit; yogurts; breads; and the full English fry-up. The big hit here is the house, which is a beautiful half-timbered. early modern place. Our room was up some stairs and down a corridor but off by itself and quiet with a nice view of the sprawling well-tended garden.
Clearly a lot of attention has gone into anticipating what guests might need and providing it--for example, toothpicks on the table. Everything seemed meticulously organized in support of visitors.
Our room was fairly cool but we chose not to turn on the two space heaters that were available.

A wonderfull overnight stay that we couldn't fault. From the moment that we pulled onto the drive. We knew that that these owners had an eye for attention to detail and so it proved. What an interesting property as well. Steeped in history. Despite knocking my head a couple of times on a low beam. This is no way detracted from our stay.
Nothing to say. One of the best B&B's we've stopped in for some years. Highly recommend.
