Location, friendliness, cleanliness. The room was small but well appointed with a shower, wash basin, kettle, desk, plenty of power sockets, comfortable bed. And a pleasant view of Devonport Park.
The shower temperature could suddenly change; this is the case in most British showers though. The wall to the next room could do with a bit more sound proofing;

A great hotel, with very friendly, knowledgable and helpful hosts. If I'm back with work I will definitely try to stay again as it was also conveniently located. Devonport Park is also very pleasant to stroll around and take in the views.
Nothing I didn't like

Hosts Dave and Sally were friendly and keen to please. Room was immaculate throughout. Could park close by and usually right outside.
Personally, with ageing eyesight in a world of energy efficiency, I would prefer brighter lighting especially for bedside reading. No problem - I'll take a brighter bulb with me to pop in for my imminent next stay!
9.0
Comfy, large room. Friendly, helpful, kind staff. Quiet location. Parking was immediately outside the hotel even though it was public, street parking. Tea n coffee facilities in our room and top-up given with ease.
Easy access to where we needed to be in Plymouth. Would definitely stay there again.
Being picky, shower tray wasn't sparklingly clean, toilet-roll holder broken but usable.

Breakfast was excellent and there was a very warm welcome from the hosts. Nothing was too much trouble, even sourcing almond milk and vegan spread for breakfast.Very clean room, warm and comfortable.
Possibly consider replacing the sliding door into the ensuite bathroom as it kept sticking.

The location for me was amazing I had a beautiful view of the park! The staff were so friendly and accommodating! Staff were very polite to my son even offering him extra biscuits for the room!
The walls are thin so other guests can seem very loud! If I were travelling with younger children I would prefer to have a bath in a family room but a shower was okay for me and my now 11 year old son!!

Only had 1 breakfast which was good. Shower was like new. Plenty of tea and coffee stuff. 2 really quiet nights.
The hot water seemed to take a long time to get to the taps.

The staff were excellent! so kind and welcoming. The room was nice and clean and a good size.
9.0
Very comfortable bed. Private bathroom which was well equipped.
Tea and coffee making facilities.
Hard work carrying my bag to the second floor and I was wary going down because of shallow stair treads thickly wrapped in carpet and underlay. But it’s in the nature of a characterful old Devonport house and I’m sure the exercise was good for me!

Very convenient for my purpose of visiting Plymouth.
Breakfast was only offered between 7.30-8.30.

Property was clean and room/beds comfortable. Location is very good for central Plymouth and was a 20 to 30 minute walk. Very reasonable cost.
Wouldn't go as far as 'didn't like' but the Hotel is very dated and worn in general e.g. shower worked well but was a very small enclosure.

Was a quiet location and easy to park
Shower was a little grotty. Needed attention to the outside. On the whole was good

We felt very welcome when we arrived, the room was a great size for a family room. People may not like the size of the on suite bathroom, but you don’t spend long in there so it wasn’t a problem for us and the room was spotlessly clean, with very comfortable beds. We loved the location, across the road was a beautiful park, which we could see from our room, the park had a cafe so you could mix it up and have breakfast or lunch there. It was a short car journey/ or a longer walk to the Hoe/town centre it just depends on your preference. We did both. This hotel is not expensive in comparison to others in the same area so I feel it’s great value for your money.
