The room was very good: spacious, modern, well decorated, in excellent condition, the bed was huge and comfy, the bathroom was great and the room came with its own private garden. One of the nicest hotel rooms I've stayed in. There was lots of parking. The breakfast was also very good. I stayed only one night prior to visiting Burghley the next day. I hope to return in the future.

location was ok
1 breakfast was terrible (really fatty cooked breakfast, limited buffet, very small overfull and loud breakfast room
2 dinner was very poor (one of four mains was unavailable and we weren't told until wanted to order it) plus steak was very leathery, awful, plus paper napkins (supposed to be top place) plus poor starters
4.5
nice location, polite staff
cleanliness in room very poor.
4.5
Breakfast a lack of fresh fruit
The shower pressure was very very poor. They changed the hose because it had a split in it but still didn't any difference.
The Shower cubicle tiles needed regrouting or refurbished rather dirty.
Dinner was good but the wait was 45 minutes before we got food.

The staff were very welcoming and the food was wonderful.
It took a while to work out where the fresh milk was for coffee in the morning. A little folded card sign on the dresser to would be a lovely touch.

We have stayed on a number of occasions now. The rooms (Burleigh our favourite) are brilliant and the food and atmosphere fantastic. We stay when we visit a show at the nearby Peterborough Arena. The arena is closing and our show going elsewhere so we'll have to make up another reason to return to The Crown.

Second visit to this lovely Pub for an overnight stay. Both times we were very pleased with the room, service and the food. I left my charger there and the staff returned it first class the next day. Overall a great place to stop and unwind after a busy day.

The room was immaculate and had lots of additions that were much appreciated- water, tea, biscuits.
Very comfy beds
Wasn't much to dislike. As it was a Bank Holiday they closed early and it would have been good to have been given some help to find places for a meal that were open.

loved the location, the quietness and calmness were fabulous. great standard of room- great breakfast
shame the restaurant was closed on a Monday evening- we would have loved to have not had to leave to find somewhere to eat

I only needed to stay one night as I was attending a classic car meeting near by. Main thing for me is my car was secure, which it was. I had booked a deluxe room which I thought was a bargain. The bar area was busy but friendly and the staff were really helpful. Both evening meal and breakfast were just great. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Elton village is very attractive. Bedrooms and bathrooms furnished to a high standard. Staff obliging - arranging for an early dinner so that we could attend the theatre in Peterborough. Delicious breakfast.
Nothing comes to mind.

This is a fabulous traditional pub in a really pretty village. A magnificent tree outside and surrounded by quant thatched houses. Lovely bar and excellent restaurant. Really super, will definitely be back.

Beautiful village location, great atmosphere and plenty of parking. Lovely room and comfortable bed. Good food and the waitress that served lunch was lovely and very helpful.
The electric shower although the water was hot wasn’t great and impossible to rinse my hair due to the trickle of water. The bath took an hour to fill with and the water wasn’t hot. When we arrived we found the lady that checked us in to be abrupt and dismissive. When we asked where to check in she replied with one word “Bar” and after reluctantly showed us to our room which was absolutely freezing we were told that the radiators would “warm it up later”. We checked the radiators and they were turned off. Once we had turned them on and waited around an hour the room warmed up and was lovely.

lovely room. staff Friday night fab. amazing breakfast.
tv wasn’t connected. unfortunately the lady working on Saturday morning was quite rude and not friendly at all. when we asked a question or requested anything it was met with a sigh or a roll of the eyes. really was a shame as everything else was great.

We enjoyed our stay at the Crown. Location perfect for touring the area and good walks from the doorstep.
Great atmosphere in the bar area and the breakfast was fantastic.
The room was exceptionally quiet
The heater in the bathroom was faulty so it was too chilly to luxuriate in there.

It lived up to the description and represented very good value for money. The whole offering said they all cared about their customer. Easy to access from my route and set in a lovely village.
Nothing.

old and quaint. large bedrooms and lots of detail.
was looking forward to sitting in front of the fire which is why we booked the Crown Inn but disappointed with its position opposite the bar where customers should be sitting. No view of fire from alcoves. Badly designed.
we booked a twin but it was a king bed. horrendous wallpaper! overall we felt that though the hotel was quaint with thatched roof and beams, its layout felt soulless. we had to go outside to get to our room - not good when it’s raining and very cold.
