I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this beautifully restored plantation house, steeped in history.
My stay as a lone traveller was superb. The property was beautifully maintained, the welcome was warm and hospitable. The staff were friendly and the breakfast plentiful. I would recommend.
As a lone traveller on foot I had to ensure I was back at the property before nightfall as the short walk from the bus stop was a little hairy with no pavement and no street lighting. Having said that, I managed perfectly well.

An Incredibly relaxing week
Excellent breakfast, staff exceptional.incredible views and fascinating public rooms. Great local knowledge about restaurants. Heywoods beach was the nearest long beach.

A highly recommended property with super friendly staff and for us it ticked all of the boxes
A historic house steeped in history and furnished with many antiquities. If I had a larger suitcase I would have taken the Kingsized Mattress in our room back home, it was so comfortable. Although only serving a breakfast meal the full English was fantastic.
The only moan was the hassle unlocking and locking the entrance gate. A chain with padlock might be easier.

we loved the house, the location and the atmosphere. it is definitely a guesthouse not a hotel but if you like peace and
wonderful old house and very peaceful, great location
you do need a car and there are no staff there overnight
