Comfy beds but disappointing management of staff

The size of the apartments are generous and clean and the beds very comfortable. As we were travelling at the end of the summer season we almost had the place to ourselves which was great! The pool area was comfortable and next to the beach with lovely views. The staff at the restaurant were lovely and helpful.

Sadly our stay was hampered by our guests who we were treating had no hot water in their bathrooms. We were told that maintenance was not available until the next day so the family arrived and had cold showers and baths. The management did try to resolve it later on by offering for them to change rooms but by then their daughter was already in bed and as they only stayed a night it wasn't worth the upheaval. We were surprised not to see any goodwill gesture offered for this. There was also noisy garden maintenance happening which spolt the peace we were hoping to have. On our second day we were swimming in the sea near the hotel with a few other families when a local guy on a jet ski was speeding up and down in an obnoxious way with no regard for the swimmers (some were children). He then drove the jet ski dangerously near to us all and we could see he was drinking a beer! I had to say something and pointed out to him that there were children in the water and he was beyond the safety bouys and too close to us and I was concerned one slip of the wrist could result in an accident. He was very rude and said he could do what he wanted and even then asked if I wanted to jump on for a ride 'darling'. We ended up ending our swim as it was very unpleasant and I mentioned the incident to the towel guy at the hotel that this had happened. He told us that the jet skier could go wherever he wanted and there was no problem with his behaviour. He then took something from a bag and went into the sea to handover the package to the man (who was obviously a friend) and they exchanged something. This incident made us feel we don't want to return to this place as there is no understanding that guests should be allowed to be heard if soemthing is amiss. Also please dont stay here if you want to eat well it is very expensive and low quality- you are better going to the local Grandenes cafe just opposite for local delicious food and great smiley genuine service.

Superb apartment and staff

The size of the apartment was incredible. We had loads of space and felt very comfortable. All units are actually 3 bedroom. We booked 2 bedrooms, the 3rd bedroom was locked and off bounds, but useful to know as at the time of booking it wasn’t clear how many rooms we had booked.

The air conditioning wasn’t working well in some rooms, but we didn’t need them as the ceiling fans worked beautifully. We weather was perfect and ac wasn’t necessary all the time. The one in the lounge and bathroom worked well and this helped at hot times and filtered through to the rest of the apartment

Breathtaking

An amazing place. Check in was so easy & the room took my breath away it was beautiful (507). The beach & pool were kept tidy & the staff were always at hands with towels. The staff were so welcoming and made our stay. Thank you to everyone at St Peter’s. We will definitely be returning 😊

Excellent vacation and we would definitely return to this resort.

The breakfast was very reasonable for Barbados prices. Excellent food. We loved the elevator access right off of our balcony to reach the pool and beach. Everything was decorated so beautifully and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice that we had waters, milk, butter and bread and a few other items already stocked when we arrived. The staff at the beach was so helpful and they had so many paddle boards and boogie boards available to use. The area of the hotel is very upscale with great restaurants nearby and beautiful resorts. We felt very safe our entire stay.

We rented a car and driving to and from the property was a challenge because the roads are small and curvy and the local drivers are very fast and aggressive. We ended up getting a taxi to go places because it was so stressful to drive. It is about 45 min to Bridgetown where several of the tours and activities are and the rate was between $45-60 each way. The beach area in front of the hotel is very nice, but once you get out into the water the ground is rocky... we found that is just the way the water is in Barbados...it wasn't unique to the hotel however.

A fabulous resort, great location and a must-stay in Barbados.

The property was beautiful and had everything we needed. the apartments were luxurious and spotlessly clean and the location was fabulous. we loved sitting on our balcony looking at the sea. the restaurant was also great. we ate there a lot and the food was delicious and service great whatever the time of day. Everyone who worked at the resort couldn’t do enough for us.

We didn’t have any negative feedback. it was fabulous.

Fun in the sun

The apartment was excellent and offered a wow factor. Very spacious and well appointed. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals.

Exceptional

Our villa is beautiful! As I type this, I’m sitting on our patio, on which there is a huge jacuzzi, and looking out onto the Caribbean. The snorkeling just out back is terrific, as good as any place I’ve usually had to pay to have someone take me to. We are on the 3rd floor, and there’s an elevator right out our back door that puts you steps from the pool and beach. There was a big party crowd here for a wedding, and in our room we heard....nothing. Very quiet, and very comfortable. The staff has been great in every way, and the concierge can make anything happen for you. Very good food. Water taxi is cool, and worth a hop over to Port Ferdinand for their infinite pool and amazing spa. Swimming with the sea turtles was just awesome. Location is excellent - close to two cool towns, easy access to grocery stores, and incredible restaurants.

The kitchen lacked some basics like coffee filters, oil, salt, etc. Staples I’d prefer not to have to go to the grocery store to buy. Just a suggestion, but the kids club is fairly basic and doesn’t allow you to leave the property.
