We stayed in the apartment twice, the first three days and the last four days of our whole 13 days trip. When we stayed in the first slot, there is no iron and ironing board in the apartment, I then wrote a message asking for these two devices. And when we arrived in the apartment later, we found that there are brand new iron and iron board in the apartment! Such a considerate and nice owner!
The bathroom is too small. And the facilities provided are too few for two persons staying 3-4 nights, such as towels and toilet paper.

It is actually about renting an apartment on the ground floor, which has a bedroom and a central room, which also includes a kitchen. The apartment includes most of the appliances required for daily living. The location is excellent, within minutes of cycling to anywhere significant in Leiden. During the time I stayed in the apartment, I did not experience any environmental noise or any other hazard. This is a residential neighborhood. The apartment owners were available and answered every question I had efficiently and quickly. It is important to remember that by renting the apartment, you lose the human connection with other tourists, which you can expect in a normal hotel.
The only negative thing about the apartment is the size of the shower room and the toilet, because it is really cramped. It has everything you need and I (average size) got used to the limited space very quickly and this fact did not bother me.

As hoped, Monica's apartment turned out to be the perfect spot for the three of us to use Leiden as a base for a six-night stay in Holland (aka The Netherlands). Leiden itself is a wonderful place and we were pleasantly surprised by the lack of visible tourism. The property is in a very quiet neighbourhood just outside the old centre and a 5 to 7 minute walk to the station. It's quite fully equipped (stove and microwave, no oven) and we used it for breakfast and light meals. The small patio is a nice outdoor space for drinks and even a meal.
Monica was a great host and, when asked, recommended an excellent pizzeria (Pavarotti) where we ate twice. It is well supplied but the policy seems to be that if one runs out (e.g. toilet paper) one should purchase more. Best to clarify with Monica.

The location was great for the centre of Leiden and the train station. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed in the bedroom was comfortable.
The sofa bed was not very comfortable and there were very loud noises from the boiler all night (in the same room) so the person sleeping in the living did not sleep well.

The apartment is large, well-equipped, and located in a quiet residential street a short walk from the railway station and the centre of town. It has a good kitchen and a comfortable sitting-room area. Monica was a very helpful host.
No complaints about anything.

The apartment is 5 minutes by walk from Leida Central Railway Station and 5 minutes from Old City. The apartment is located in a quiet, charming street. Most importantly, Monica (the hostess) is extremely helpful!!! She specifically came to help me when my flight was cancelled.
Moreover, Leiden during gold autumn season is a beautifully. Much more beautiful and interesting than The Hague.

The location was perfect. Close to the bus and train stations just a 10 mim walk. The main city is also a min walk. The facility in the accomodation was perfectit was just like home. Could not have asked for more. Our host was fantasic ready if we needed her. Would highly recommend this place to everone. It was cosy, clean and very nice place. You could cook you own breakfast, lunch and dinner if needed (which we did). It also just a 10 min walk to any of the supermarkets in the area (jumbo, aldi, dirk) There was plenty of cleaning produces for us to use. Saved us lots of money doing this. This accomodation was just perfect what more can I say.
Well there was nothing we did not like. It was just a perfect place to stay.

This place was perfect for my needs. I needed a place to be able to hang out with my daughter and also use as a temporary office. This apartment was great. Close to the train station and in a quiet neighbourhood. A short walk to all the restaurants in central Leiden. The internet speed was fast. Comfortable bed, washing machine, dishwashing machine, coffee maker, oven, fridge. This place had everything. I'll try to book it again next time I visit Leiden.
My only, very minor, complaint was that the bedside table was a bit dusty.

Location. close to the station but also to the old town centre. Quiet.
The little courtyard could do with some plants.

The location was amazing. Very close to the train and bus station, university campus, museum, and the charming old town, yet relatively quiet and cosy. The host was very kind and friendly. She allowed me to stay a bit longer when I had an emergency and needed extra time to solve an online train ticket problem, and it has made much difference for me. The flat had floor heating, which was absolutely fantastic during the clod and wet winter days.
Since the flat is on the ground floor and the bedroom windows overlook the street with parking spots, there was sometimes much noise in the evening or even at night (especially on the weekends) that made it difficult to sleep. The flat above had squeaky floors, and every step the neighbours made caused noise and vibrations. Unfortunately, they seemed to prefer to be active at night.

The pretty street was very central and close to the main station. It was nevertheless amazingly quiet. The appartment is simply and pleasantly furnished and the bed was very comfortable. We had a wonderful 5 days in Leiden and would definitely return.
The apartment is dark, but that is generally a problem on the ground floor. Although the kitchen looked clean, the fridge, oven, kitchen cupboard and some of the crockery were grubby. In the bathroom, the toilet seat was loose. There is no information on how to use any of the equipment and we had to google the instructions to unlock the induction hob. The combined oven/microwave was impossible to use without an instruction manual. The heating was set to keep the flat at a steady 23 degrees, which we found too hot. Again there were no instructions to turn down the heating. Instructions on where to dispose of trash were also lacking. So, all in all, we had a wonderful stay in Leiden, and the appartment would have scored 9.5 with a little bit of a clean and a few instruction manuals (and a small step-ladder to allow people under 1.60m height to reach the crockery).
