The hotel is beautiful and the staff made our stay very comfortable.
The parking is a bit far from the hotel.

Perfectly located (walking distance to everything). Antigua is a fantastic town!
Beautiful central garden.
Very dark room (no windows, except a small one to the central corridor).
A bit pricey.

Location easy walk to park and shopping. Breakfast good and cooked to order
Understaffed. No assistance with our luggage. Front desk attendant not always available-doing other chores. Limited access to rooftop terrace and no seating as in previous years. Beautiful views of the volcanoes but obviously not welcome to sit and enjoy

Breakfast cooked to order good
Hotel understaffed. Not as friendly as previous years. Have stayed there several times following a mission trip nd will probably look for another hotel for our group next year

the only thing I enjoyed at the property was the garden.
The rooms smelled like mold, staff was absolutely rude, security at the front desk was very poor, we felt pretty unsafe at the hotel.

The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were comfortable. The beds were clean and comfortable. Nice hot showers with some generic body and hair soaps (attached style). The beautiful interior garden that all the rooms face is really pleasant and the view from the roof top terrace is absolutely incredible on a clear day. We loved the big rooms, and the proximity to all the restaurants and shops we wanted to visit in Antigua. We would definitely return.
The parking is not "on site", but rather it is 2 blocks away. You will drive to the hotel, and have to just temporarily park in the street while you get someone from the front desk to accompany you to the parking lot about 2 blocks away. Then, when you wish to leave, you repeat this process, as the hotel keeps the parking lot locked. It is a big and safe lot, though. They did tell me that if we leave the car parked past 1:00 pm on the day of check out that the hotel will charge 20 quetzals extra per hour. Otherwise it is free with your stay. This is not a "bad thing" for the hotel, but I just wanted to share with future travellers, because it wasn't very clear to me prior to our stay.
The toilets here have really low water pressure. I know water pressure is low in many places in the country, but it was a noticeable discomfort.

Breakfast was good but you had to pay for tortillas while the white bread was free. Coffee was good.
The rooms were dark and there was fuzzy mold growing on the walls. It was a damp place with the old springs visible in the floor and also vented so moisture and dankness from there remained in the room. The floors hasn’t been swept or mopped as we kept picking it this up and bringing it into bed on our socks. The room was very dark and quiet so we slept well!

Lovely hotel with great scenery, with very spacious rooms. The personnel did an outstanding service to us (our flight delayed 1 day and we could easily reschedule with no impact on costs, they stores a bag for 2 weeks, arranged taxi from and to the airport)
No english, but very friendly personnel so if you dont speak spanish a translate app will help out

location is near the main square
there was black mold on the wall and really damp/humid spaces. it was dimly lit even when I arrived at around 3pm.. overall, I see the appeal with the garden and location, but the conditions are poor and I immediately checked out and asked for a full refund. unfortunately they already charged my card, so the refund will take 2-3 weeks. wishing I hadn’t booked here as other places I stayed in antigua were clean. the staff was accommodating and honored my request that I didn’t feel comfortable staying in the room, let alone the hotel.

the hotel is nice and clean, staff is friendly
room smell weird, no place to keep your bags while you wait. Is too expensive for the service they offer. Need more staff.

The location and the staff.
It had spider web in some places, making us feel like they didn’t clean up to well, and at night it had a unbearable number of mosquitoes, making it super hard to fall asleep.
